She's hands on, showed my exactly how to do the home exercises and why, not just a paper handout. Each visit she addressed a bit more, gently moving me into better posture, increasing targeted exercises and listening to my concerns. All my previous experiences were my choice by following yelp reviews. I was new to the area , I had no clue where to go so I relied on like folks to guide my needs. Each previous experience was different. Not knowing what to expect, I was soon another patient in the "workout" room with others with various aches and pains. From my previous therapies, I did feel like it was resolving, however the pain never completely went away. After months with little change, while almost resolving to accept my pain as my new norm, I turned to a surgeon to begin to seek out my steps to finalize the pain. I began that visit by seeing the Physician Assistant - a very knowledgeable and informative PA. His prognosis was one that would be a good candidate for Physical Therapy. Oh no!, I thought, here I go again. While I'm about to interject with my experiences, he quickly followed up with " you need to see the folks over at Orthomed"... what? Who are they?. He goes on to explain the individual hands-on technique that these folks employ in their therapy. OMG , From day one and throughout all my one hour, hands-on experiences, I can say that my pain has and is becoming totally manageable. If you have ANY need for a Physical Therapist, call or visit these folks for what's aching. You will be treated by the best in the area. My main Physical Therapist is Craig, but I also work with Chelsea. Kayla and Miranda are the assistants I have worked with. They are all genuine, have great bedside manners, are encouraging, and explain things very well (why, how, what I should expect, etc). The atmosphere there is also relaxing, it is full of some great equipment, and at this time of year is also rather festive. I definitely recommend ROC physical therapy at this convenient location! My son had PT at the location on Arlington several years ago, and it was really good, too. For this one, you do not need to go downtown and the parking is much better, as well. Park in front or on the right side of the building, unless you want to walk further. Patients can only go into the front of the building. This clinic is in the same building as the St Mary's Urgent Care and the ROC Express. Those are both on the first floor and are all operated as separate clinics and do totally different things than this Physical Therapy Clinic. To get to the Physical Therapy Clinic, go in the front door (as you would go to enter the St Mary's Urgent Care), but before you go in the double doors which are inside, turn right and use the elevator to go up to the second floor.
