I have had their fiber installed for about 4 years. Fast and helpful has been my experience. When moving into my new home I needed things asap as I closed a lot faster than expected. They had techs on site hours after I called. I had a crappy router ($50 amazon find haha) that their call center suggested to not use and get something that could utilize my full fiber speeds. Not sure what I got but its a failed inexpensive rental from them that literally wifi covers my whole property. A lot of bad reviews seem to have the problem I did. Get a great router and your experience will be great. read more

They are only getting 1 star because I have tried for the past 2 years to get hooked up to their new fiber optic lines. Which would help me out a lot since it is cheaper than I am already paying. I was promised that I could get up to 50Mbps but for the past few years the most I have been getting is 30Mbps on a good day. Ive called them multiple times and they dont see an issue With the connection. Ive called and spoken with some of their upper management about when I can get hooked up and they always say yeah ill look into that for you and dont hear a call back.I have even tried emailing them but they dont answer. Last spring, they sent a team out to hook me up to fiber then said oh we can't because the line isnt spliced. Then told me it would be winter. Winter time came and they said we'll we dont know at all if you can be hooked up. Im tired of paying for a service that I was promised and I'm not getting what I paid for. If I could post a picture of my internet speed test to show proof I would but it won't allow me to on here. So years ago I signed up for internet with rise broadband who then got bought by xfinnity who then got bough by Fybercom. Mind you like 6-8 years ago. Well fybercom raised my rates and changed my plan without even a msg. So I found different internet. When I called to cancel their rep demanded to know who I switched too. Then told me they were charging me to come get there equipment and I had to sign a waiver to get on my own roof and remove the equipment then if I didn't drive 60 miles and deliver the equipment to there office I'd be charged for that also. Customer service rep hung up when I told him I have no contract with them so they have no legal grounds for these charges. Fybercom internet service is a joke. I signed up with FyberCom almost 6 months ago. Up to this point it has been very good. Very reliable, very fast, and the customer support has by far been better than CenturyLink ever was when the technician came to my home, he went above and beyond helping me get my Velop routers to all connect. It was quite the ordeal. The router required an update that took 20 minutes and the technician went out of his way to stay and make sure that it was set up before he left. The price is good for what I get I live just outside of Idaho Falls and I've had a hard time finding good Internet over the years, they recently ran Fiber down my road to Goshen. I was lucky enough to be one of the houses that they passed. I've seen amazing speeds, low latency, and zero buffering since I've had their service. read more

I swear to god you can get better Wi-Fi for free in public spaces than the garbage these people charge you for. Consciously overloading their networks and then telling everyone there isn't anything they can do about it. Manipulating speed tests to justify their service, all the while you have 80% packet loss and a 720p stream cant play for more than 15 seconds without buffering. It's sad they have a monopoly on some of these more rural towns, because if there was any frame of reference for what good internet looked like, this dog shit company would be out of business by now. read more

Lived in Rigby and their service was just okay. Buffers all the time. I knew I was only going to be in my home for a year, and they did not give me the option of a contract. Apparently they just put me in. One. Told me it would have cost me $15 more a month. If I didn't get into the contract for 2 years. I told them I would pay the $15 extra month had I have known, because I knew I wasn't going to be at this home for more than a year. Now they're charging me $250 to disconnect for a contract I never agreed to. I told them I'd be happy to pay the $15 extra for each month instead, but they won't allow it. I wish they would have been honest from the beginning instead of sneaking me into a contract I never would have agreed to. Shady company. read more

Customer service and sales reps do not document what was promised. when to a spring and home show in Pocatello. Found out what we were paying for the last 6 years was way outdated and for the same price we could have the best they have out there. Checked our area and set up an appointment for installation. They came to our home and found out the tower was not able to connect but could use a different tower. Would have to come back after they made adjustments to the further tower. Fybercom contacted us and let us know everything was all set up however when we discussed the plan it was 25 dollars more then what they quoted us at the spring and home show. They said there were no notes about what we discussed offering me the standard promotion which is still 20 dollars more a month. you would think that being a customer for over 6 years and having referred many friends and family to them they would want to keep a customer like me. The quality of the internet service was good, and when they installed about 7 years ago, they were good to work with. Fast forward to late 2023. The cost of their service suddenly bumps up by 25%, right around the same time fiberoptic service is being installed in the neighborhood. Well, now we have the option of getting 10x the speed for $12 *less* per month. The choice is pretty obvious. I called to cancel the service, and they arranged to have a technician pick up their equipment. At no point in this process was I informed about a $99.99 cancellation fee or a $50 equipment pickup fee. Additionally they charged me for another $74.99 monthly service fee five days *after* I had cancelled the service. So, I have to shell out $249.98 to have my service terminated, after being a customer for 7+ years - and I wasn't notified of any of these charges until a few minutes *after* their technician picked up the equipment. (Incidentally, the technician showed up at 6:45 pm, when they were supposed to arrive between 2:00 and 5:00pm). Yesterday I would have been reasonably willing to recommend Fybercom to someone else. After the termination fiasco, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone. read more

DO NOT EVER USE FYBERCOM.net It is absolute trash internet, they auto sign you up for a 12 month contract every year after your original contract ends, they charge you $150 early cancelation fee to cancel the contract at any time other than the 30 day window before the contract renews, and then another $50 to come get their equipment off your roof. read more

Watch out for HUGE disconnect fees. i was told $3600 to cancel fiber after 6 months. They ran fiber through my neighborhood so I thought I would give them a try. Their box is in my front yard. They ran a cable across my yard and want $3600 to cancel. The service was ok. There billing practices, or for a better worr their payment acceptance practices are crap. It took filing a complaint with the Idaho Public Utilities commmision to get them to accept a check. Be very careful what you sign. They will apply your digital lsignature to a contract while the installer tells you its to prove they were there. Such a dishonest company. I wish I had never heard of them. read more

I "WAS" a customer since June of 2018, I recently moved and notified them I was discontinuing my service and they proceeded to tell me their was a 99 early termination fee because it automatically renews every year. I then informed them in writing that I was discontinuing my service and they continue to bill me and have now sent me to collections. I would not recommend this company to anyone ever. read more

Was touted at the best in the area, lately after the major price increase, having problems with the switcher that they install which does not last more than an year. It took 3 days to get an appointment and waited around for the tech only to be called just prior to the appointment and told that he would not show up. Then they offered another appointment 4 days later, when I said that I wanted to cancel, let us see if we can schedule something for tomorrow. The customer service is by far the worst and I left Century Link if that is telling you something. Prices are way too expensive for the service that you get. Rumor is they charge to pick up the equipment when you cancel their service. Buyer beware. Look at the contract closely and see how they defraud you with the extra fees. read more

My plan was month-to-month. I called and canceled my service but they still pulled payment from my account without authorization and after service was canceled. The equipment was already in the residence when I purchased it and is currently for sale and vacant. Now, they say the billing will continue until they get the equipment which, again, was already there when I purchased the residence. I would steer clear of this company. read more

I called the company. I sat on hold/wait for over an hour. Finally it prompted me to leave a message. I did that. I called back several times that day. Never did I get a hold of anyone. The next day I had still not received a phone call. I called the company again multiple times the next day. I even left messages. I never received a phone call back. I called again at 10 pm. They finally answered. I was on the phone for over an hour and didn't get anything resolved. They said they could send a tech next day, but they had to let me know I could receive a service charge if the problem was with our router. I have yet to fix my internet.
