Two hairdressers up and left and now I'm on my third stylist that she just doesn't click with me making it extremely difficult to sit in a chair for two hours. Now lately, time after time when I ask for an appointment after 4 pm...I get 2pm...or break up my appointment in two separate visits or two separate stylists. I prayed I wouldn't become a nobody but I did. Oh well! On to.the next salon and pray.

UPDATE 8/16/2025: As usual, everyone at the salon was friendly, warm, and attentive. Therese, especially, was WONDERFUL! She listened thoughtfully as I explained my thoughts, hair goals, and anxieties, and she worked WITHIN those parameters to create a perfect representation of everything I had hoped for! She also explained everything she was doing AS she did it, so that I could recreate the look at home later. She is AMAZING. She made me feel so taken care of that I even intend to return in a few weeks for a color consult (it will be my first time EVER coloring my hair)! 9/2023--Ashley was SOOOO good! I had no idea what I wanted to do with my AWFUL mop of limp, lifeless hair. She took the time to talk with me and get to know me, my hair, and my concerns. She gave a few suggestions, taking the time to explain everything she would be doing. As she was working, she also described what she was doing and why. Her suggestions were great, and she was VERY patient with all my stupid questions. And the haircut? It was exactly what I needed, and it suited my hair type, my age, AND my face shape perfectly! I'm so happy with it! She's amazing! UPDATE 9/2024: She has done it again!! Ashley is ALWAYS so wonderful. She pays attention to my "hair goals" AND my concerns, and she is very creative and artistic (and friendly). This time, in particular, she gave me a great consult, and when we decided on a cut together, it turned out EVEN BETTER than I could have imagined. I think this is the best cut and style I have EVER received. I've never been so pleased with my hair before! She is an artist!! UPDATE: Yup! She's batting 1000 with ANOTHER great cut! Ashley is ALWAYS amazing! Not only does she take the time to find out weekday you want she always offers PROFESSIONAL consultations, and she is so effervescent and friendly that it really elevates the experience. To be clear, ALL of the stylists are wonderful, but I always appreciate the personal attention and expertise that she offers. Thank you, Ashley!

I was overwhelmed by the talent and friendliness of the staff. Kathleen gave me a full balayage. The whole process took a few hours (I have a lot of hair), but Kathleen gave me her full attention the whole time and walked me through each step. She did the full balayage, a wash and toner, and then a cut and style. So much attention to detail. Near or far, I highly recommend Kathleen! I've never received so many compliments on my hair before.

Now to the color, I'm on the three week color plan and prior to having my hair colored with Traci I was not getting three weeks. Perhaps it is because she leaves the color on 10 minutes longer than previous salons I have been had color . Maybe she uses a better color? All I know is my color certainly is lasting longer. They use Aveda products and everything smells so delicious. After my service, my skin was glowing. (And still is days later). So the reason why I gave 4 stars: 1) I felt the service was a bit on the pricey side for a 30 min facial. It was $80. That price won't deter me from getting another facial from here... but definitely not as often as I would if the price was a bit lower. The other reason I gave it 4 stars was that the receptionist ringing us out overcharged my friend. When my friend was trying to ask about it and explain why she thought she was overcharged, you could tell the receptionist was very confused and in the end it was just easier to let it go. Lotus Blossom is a really depressing and disappointing establishment. I wanted to like it, cause of the convenience, cause i live close to the salon, and i wanted to like the hair stylist, i ended up with Leah, I do not know if it is an Ohio thing, but this person can not take directions, i went there to get highlights done to my hair, a basic thing is to have the roots the same color than the highlights, i brought my formula and written directions from Chicago, to make a long story short i went back like 3 times, just to give this person an opportunity to prove me wrong, i made an appointment for october, (my 4th appointment) cause i have a big event i am attending and this "stylist"chose to call me one day before the appointment to tell me she does not think we are a match,and... that it takes too long to do my hair and she just does not have the time! lol, are you freaking kidding me????? and she only texted me cause i sent her a message before, i mean the level of professionalism here is ZERO, non existant. I do not go to a hair salon to make friends, i do not care if the person i am paying to do my hair has a "connection" with me or not!!!! , a person goes to a hair salon, you go there to get your hair done, not to become best friends with the hair stylist (if it happens? good for both of you, but that is not the reason why i go to a hair salon) . i mean be a professional, do your job, nicely! do the highlights, cover the roots of course (is this even something i have to ask for???????? ), you dont want to pay, and....... you know what, it is cheap, about $120, so i guess you get what you pay for! but man!!! Do not go there! you wont be happy with your hair, and god forbid the hair stylist doesnt feel she has a connection with you and cancels on you a day before your appointment. Think of Lotus Blossom as the Walmart of hair salons, or super cuts. you have been warned!
