Johan had really useful advice to help us make decisions that would be good for us in the long run. He has a wealth of knowledge of plants, our particular climate in the Lamorinda area, and all of the tactical and technical things around homeownership (he's a contractor). We ended up having a plumbing issue that we needed to address to enable our irrigation and Johan had team members that fixed it that day. Very happy with the results and we look forward to working with him on future projects!

We could not be happier with the results. Alonso, the owner, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He took our general ideas and turned them into a cohesive, functional outdoor design that beautifully complements our property while staying within our budget. The scope of the project included building a 14' x 17' patio area with a gazebo, installing a pressure-treated wood retaining wall, constructing a patio bench seat, landscaping our hillside, and building steps to provide safe access up our steep hill. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the project were outstanding. Alonso and his team were consistently prompt and professional. Whenever unexpected issues arose, Alonso was transparent and communicated clearly about the situation, available options, and any associated costs. We greatly appreciated his honesty and commitment to delivering the highest quality work. My wife and I are thrilled with our new outdoor living space and look forward to enjoying it for years to come. Our only regret is that we didn't undertake this project 20 years ago when we first moved into our home. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Alonso and the entire Golden Hills Landscaping team and would highly recommend them to anyone considering an outdoor improvement project.

Lot Fence Works has been our absolute favorite contractor to date. Professional, timely,…read morehard-working, and great at what they do. My husband and I are first time home-owners and knew we had some work to do on our house. We initially reached out to LFW for side gates to keep our dog in, and our initial consult was super helpful. Luis helped me put into words what I wanted and figure out the specifics. We also had asked him about retaining walls so he gave us some great advice without trying to sell anything unnecessary. He was honest about the retaining walls in the back still having plenty of good years while giving us tips for a more immediate issue in the front. He also gave us the option to add height to have more privacy from our neighbors. Then when it came to the project, there was a whole team hete and they got the side gates and whole front line of retaining walls up within a single work week. They were working so hard in the summer heat, and everyone on the team so kind and polite despite the tough physical labor of tear down. The fences look great and we can't wait to finish up the side yard in the future. The quote was reasonable for a retaining wall and drainage system with two side fences and gates and it was all inclusive. They were here to do a quality job, so from everything to tear down, making sure the neighbors lawn was perfectly clean, filling in gravel on the driveway and so on - they made it happen. And they have a warranty on the fences following the project in case any unexpected issues arise. And they were super professional. The quotes were very informative with a detailed contract and they were quite responsive and communicative the whole time. I was so thrilled working with Lot Fence Works and would highly recommend them for any future fencing or retaining wall projects. They are the best and their work looks incredible!
