Awful company! Worked for them with no issues & lots of praise from my supervisor until there was a minor issue with a paycheck that snowballed into a full legal dispute. I was extremely understanding and willing to work things out until I was continually lied to and gaslit by one of their corporate staff at the time, Marquitta McKinley. After having to deal with it and listen to lies, I told the senior management I'd have to make it a legal matter if I wasn't paid & was immediately let go (without my pay still, which is illegal btw). When they were fined because they did this, they still tried to lie to get out of paying the additional fees within a reasonable amount of time & 3yrs later, I am still dealing with the retaliation portion because they tried to lie about MY character, when they fired me for wanting to be paid (like true scumbags). I know some ppl will see this as a rant & ignore it, but do yourself a favor & give them a quick google search to see just how many ppl they fired because they filed for unemployment (because they lost their regular job), or had similar pay issues & were fired for seeking payment, or were fired because they whistleblew in some other way or just had to deal with corporate for some reason. I worked an event for this company. I had trouble with their online registration process to get paid. Rather than not pay me, they mailed me my payment. While some people will read this and think that Fusion, of course should do that, it is not common practice. They are a good company that does the honorable thing when other staffing agencies do not. read more

I have been a member of Fusion Staffing since 2008 and over the years have developed a strong professional and personal relationship. i used to love working for them. I really did... used to.... So the accounting department and the payroll department are the same department. I had an issue with my payroll, i didn't receive my paycheck due to a mistake on my end. I had a bank account listed on my profile that was several years old, and had been closed. I had to wait until the next pay period for them to mail me a check. I did not receive the check. Upon investigating i found out the post office had not delivered the check to my address listed because i did not live at that location. So upon expressing this to fusion i was told that since it was your mistake, you need to fill out an affidavit for a lost check. This also needed to be notarized. So upon sending in the requested information, i now have to wait until August 15th, for the next payroll cycle for a check to be mailed to me. So having been an owner and a payer of employees, I give them a 1 star rating for the way they handled this. I would not have done this to anyone who worked for me. Plain and simple, people work for you, keep them happy. You dont penalize them for making mistakes, so that you may save $15 on a stop check payment fee. There is no reason to wait and hide behind policies that make it even more difficult for people to stand behind your company with a smile on their face. My patience had grown very thin, it was pretty much non existent. Since expressing my distaste to them for how they handled my situation, i have been let go as an employee of theirs, not allowd to work any future assignments. Think about it, i worked on june 12, and still wont get my check until August 20th. read more

I've been with Fusion for at least 5 years. I've taken on many roles, as a BA, team lead, and yearlong tour manager for Fusion, and I've always had a positive experience with them. They are good with communication, which includes explicit instructions on where to be and who to contact for each event. They also take the time to listen to staff feedback. I've been a member of their Staff Advisory Board for 3 years, in which they reach out to active staff for suggestions on how to make Fusion a better company to work for. And they act on those improvements! That's what makes Fusion top notch in the promo industry. read more

I want to start off by being straightforward; I have worked with Fusion(and many other marketing companies) since June of 2011 as a BA and field manager and was asked to contribute a review to provide a balanced view of the company. My experience with Fusion has been by and large a positive experience. BAs who actually work with Fusion usually say the same things about their experience. The mgmt staff is attentive, reliable, and friendly. Everyone gets paid on time (once per month on the tenth) which is kind of a big deal in this industry. The only criticisms we BAs typically hear is that many jobs pay closer to $15/hr rather than $20/hr. As is the case with all staffing companies, we BAs want to see more jobs and more hours... and of course high rates. In regards to the last negative review it should be noted that all marketing/staffing companies have back-ups for events because entry level positions that pay $15-30/hr don't always attract the most reliable people. That being said many of us who have stuck with the business are very reliable. This person who is complaining obviously showed up late to an event or did not show. People like that get replaced. I'm guessing this person will not be in the industry for long. read more

Brand Ambassadors, beware! Fusion won't think twice about letting the client replace you with the on-site back-up, and they will not bother sticking up for you in the event of a wrongful termination (I had photo proof, but they still wouldn't acknowledge my side). This has happened to me, as well as one of my other BA friends. I have learned my lesson and will only work with an agency that treats me like a valued member of the team, and who doesn't think it's okay to leave me a message after Day 1 of an event to tell me that I did a great job, but then send me home upon my arrival on Day 2 (without reimbursing my parking as previously agreed). read more

Its a great company to work for...until it comes time to get paid. Im still waiting for a check for an event I worked April 3rd. It took the accounting department over 2 weeks to respond to email and calls and then they refused to take responsibility for the delay. They promised to mail the check but that was 2 weeks ago and they again have not responded to repeated calls and voicemails. I am forced to lawyer up, work at your own risk and pray you never need anything done by the accounting department such as a check reissue! The sad part is the communication sucks. Its one thing if your boss has no paycheck for ya come Friday but its insult to injury when you know they sit there everyday and hear and read your message about something they owe you and ignore it. They need to patch this hole if they want to be known as consistently reputable. Find a new accountant Fusion! read more
