I'm done with Fusian. I've gone to numerous locations these past two years and have had horrible service and food every time. I keep giving them another chance because I love the concept - I'm very picky with sushi, so customization is soooo appreciated. Welp, too bad Fusian just can't seem to get it right. When I walked in to pick up my order there were no other customers. A few employees were huddled in the back corner and one person was making a roll. The roll making employee asked me my name and handed me my order then walked away. That was the entire conversation. No greeting, no smile, no thank you.. didn't even ask if I actually already had an order, just assumed. Not rude, just not friendly either. This honestly did not affect my review. It was a pick up order so I don't really care about the perfect customer service. For this final order, placed online for pick up, I got miso soup and a custom salmon roll with rice on the outside (at least that's what I requested). They made the roll opposite of my request, with rice on the inside, and they didn't close it???? They just rolled it a little then partially sliced it so when I picked up "one" piece, it dragged the entire roll with it and it fell apart completely. I tried to recreate little pieces and pack them together but it didn't work out and I threw it away out of frustration. The miso soup smelled bad and looked even worse. It was hard to capture in a picture but the miso was chunky and hard. I did not even taste it. It looked like it was days old or something. Trash again. I already responded to the companies email asking for me to rate the experience, so I feel comfortable leaving this here for others to be aware that you might not get the best quality here. read more

Cheap, fast, and ok Parking can be a challenge, the inside seating is limited, and the only options for drinks are water, lemonade, or tea (very limited) The roll could have been rolled tighter where it did not fall apart. This location is a disaster and has been for appx 5 years. I've been going to Fusian since the first one downtown Cincinnati. Then to the one in Kenwood, and many other locations. HUGE fan. Sadly, I live near this horribly managed store now. I go once per year to see if it's better...and somehow it's always worse. Store is always empty, and employees typically outnumber patrons by 5:1 ratio. Think that results in better service? Nope. Rude, unwelcoming staff, one person serving customers. Takes 15 minutes to make a falling apart sushi roll and they don't even use the machine anymore? The rolls literally don't stay together. Forget trying to use the rewards on your app. It won't work. Obnoxious club music blaring on outside speakers. Totally inappropriate and offensive even. Never again, no more tries. It's sad to see the visions from the original guys who started in Cincinnati end to this total trash location. I hadn't been here in quite a few months and things have changed. I got the spicy salmon roll, minus cream cheese plus cucumber. The rice was not fully cooked, it was completely hard inside. They remade it for me claiming "we know it's cooked because there's a timer", but that they'll remake it from the fresh batch. The girl who remade the roll also said "I just got here so it wasn't me" (way to lead and take ownership btw). The rice wasn't much better. It's like they're using a different machine, and have never verified that the amount of water is correct, and no one tastes or tests anything. I wasn't trying to get free food, or ask for money back. I hate having to point something out like that. But I also don't want to go back and pay another 15 bucks for something inedible. read more

My wife and I both got stomach aches... I can't say for certain it was this place but... My tuna was room temp... raw fish... so... We also went during off-time, which may have contributed to the food temps. On my first bite I was questioning the temp, but I was also hungry and assumed it'd be fine... The place looked clean and well maintained. The service was friendly... I am giving them the benefit of the doubt hence the three stars... it definitely wasn't an exceptional experience, value or taste. Quick serve and sushi don't usually go together, but this place does not disappoint. About the same price as you would pay for a sushi roll anywhere else, but a lot more food for what you're paying. Ingredients are always fresh, and there's always something seasonal to try. Have recently tried their edamame as well and it's also great. Staff is quick and efficient and parking is a breeze. Fusion concept of custom designing your own sushi roll has done a great job of doing as such. Visited the location in Miamisburg this past week and found it to be consistent and good. We ordered a custom crab roll and a salmon roll. The rolls were of course delicious and tasted really good as always. The sushi maker took our orders and did a great job guiding us to which ingredients we should be adding into our rolls. The guacamole was more fresh and less brown on this day. We completed our custom roll and proceed to check out but it literally took several minutes to check out because the staff was preoccupied with clocking in vs cashing us out in a timely fashion. Overall experience was good and the rolls we ordered were fresh and delicious as always. There was only on other family dining in during the time of of the visit so the ambiance was quiet and calm not bustling like usual. I would highly recommend this location for dine in or carry out. I stopped by here by accident and I'm glad I did. The food was good and the service was quick. This place is a local Ohio chain that is mostly in Cincinnati and Columbus. The bowls are a really good size and filling. I didn't get any of the sushi dishes but a lot of the other customers that were there when I ordered my bowl did get it. I bet sooo many people say this: it's the chipotle of sushi. It's easy, fast, efficient and you would think a no brainer. So I took this last part for granted and didn't give the young hs student enough requests when he was "rolling" my sushi. So it didn't have the toppings it said it would on the menu, lesson learned. I was with others for a work meeting so was somewhat preoccupied and blame myself on that. But what was odd was the ratio of sushi rice to roll, it was totally less than usual. I love sushi, I eat it many times a week so this was not right and I'm only giving 3 stars because I have a feeling next time it will be better. Terrible. I'm surprised to read all of these reviews that talk about fresh food. Maybe these folks are used to eating out of a can or box. Nothing we got from our Uber eats order from Fusian was fresh. We ordered the salmon rice bowl. If the salmon wasn't canned, it definitely wasn't recently cooked. it smelled like cat food. The julienne cucumber is supposed to be actual sticks of cucumber. They gave us the shaved skin. One is supposed to be able to eat the cucumber in a bowel like this. The "shaved carrots" -- dried up and from a bag. The miso soup, while tasty, was half full in the cup we ordered. The edamame was definitely microwaved or worse. It was chewy and rubbery. No seasoning whatsoever. The 'pineapple sticky rice' -- volume inducing. Definitely old rice that was lightly soaked in condensed milk and then maybe some kind of whipped condensed milk added on top. Then it was topped with canned pineapple. On top of that, it had clearly been sitting in a deep chill refrigerator. It was sticky alright - it stuck right to the inside of our garbage can and felt like a brick to the bottom of it. This is not fresh food. I'd like to say that after spending nearly 20 years in San Francisco I could blame my tastes on having access to real fresh food year-round and high quality Chinese/Thai/Japanese/Indian/Korean/Mexican or 'Fusion' -- but there are better 'midwest' asian food spots around here than this. Tokyo Grill is pretty good - I recommend the Poke' Bowl. That is what a seafood bowl is supposed to taste like. Fresh tuna, fresh ingredients, good sauces, etc. Lihn's Bistro in Riverside is another top notch spot. It's a hard pass. Never again. Luckily, Uber eats refunded us for some of the meal, otherwise, it would have been a complete rip off. A Lean Cuisine would have been better. read more

It's taken me a long time and a suggestion from a family member to get me to Fusion. I just don't understand "fast food sushi" and didn't know if I was skilled enough to put together a combo I would like. It works much like build your own: Pizza at Rapid Fire Rice bowl at Chipotle Pasta at Piada They were so helpful and walked us thru the process. The biggest choice was seaweed or soy wrap....so we got one of both. The soy wrap is $1 more, and I'll say that's the best dollar I ever spent. My biggest hang up with sushi is if the seaweed isn't 100 percent fresh it's a turn off, and I've discovered I just don't like the taste of it. Soy wrap had no taste, allowing me to enjoy my filling to the utmost. Fillings were plentiful...so many choices and so little time. I filled mine up with tofu, cucumber, aspargus , avacado to name a few. Sauces were also plentiful and I had two added to the top - a spicy chili and one with wasabi. Milder than you would think but delicious. Drinks are inventive and fun. I had Lavender Lemonade. OMG it was good. Dining companion had Mango Tea, and she loved it as well. Rolls were generous in size...we left with a take home box to make someone else's day. Lunch for two - about $20. I call that winning. read more

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give Fusion a 5. It's not great and it's not bad.
