They also carry some niche local items like Marianne's ice cream and locally made chocolates and snacks. They have a small selection of dry goods and dairy products and bread so if you're trying to put together dinner, you can definitely do that by just stopping here. The prices are actually really good too. It might take a little while to check out but for the prices and the freshness it's worth the wait.

When we arrived at home all 3 were icy. Texture was crunchy with ice instead of being smooth and creamy. The cantaloupe had a thick, chewy dry layer at the top which was disgusting. We assume it has to do with how the ice cream is stored in their freezer. Come to think of it, their freezer was very frosty and icy. For the price of these (normally great) containers of ice cream, this was a huge let down. After this experience we discovered Zanotto's supermarket in Sunnyvale carries Marianne's. We got a tub of lemon custard and it was not icy at all. It was very smooth and creamy, just like getting scoops at the Marianne's shops in Santa Cruz.

There are lots of uncommon fruits and veggies, like fresh jujube fruits, prickly pear cactus fruits, and specialty herbs and greens. It's a great way to support local businesses and farmers, while keeping excess produce out of the landfills. The open-air market style also allows for individual selections of produce, and considerably less plastic packaging!! Don't forget your reusable bags, but if you do, they sell some and they even offer green, compostable produce bags available for any quantity you are in need of. Foothill Produce is particularly great for discount deals on ripe produce if you are keen on same-day recipes. They also have a large selection of European, Russian, Polish, Middle-Eastern, and Jewish foods (fresh and frozen). The market always has apples of almost every variety, seasonal products, fresh breads and challah, and plenty of standard groceries as well. Fingers crossed for a bountiful 2026. If you're debating stopping by, let this be your encouragement.

Their prices have always been reasonable, and while there were occasional quality issues, they were easy to overlook. However, I've recently stopped shopping here as often due to a serious decline in the freshness of their produce. It's become common to see pallets of berries and other items that are completely moldy or rotten. Even if these items are discounted, selling produce in this condition is a health risk and shouldn't be allowed. I'm leaving this one-star review to get management's attention, please stop putting moldy products out for customers. I am more than willing to update this review and return as a regular customer once I see a consistent improvement in quality

I put the corn on the cob in my own plastic bag. A male barked at me, "I guess you want me to take the corn on the cob out of the bag, distrusting me. Then he screamed at me, "Give me your phones" several times. A woman came to the register, telling me I had to have it open upon leaving the house. I explained that the software has a bug and that I could not complete registration. The cashier was polite, but these two other individuals were beyond RUDE.. I never experienced rudeness from Trader Joe's employees. They are professional being kind and helpful. I am removing Luck'y'e from my list. It was a very upsetting experience.

It took 3 people and more than 10 minutes to locate the new location for bottled water (all by itself, not near anything soda or juice related). My husband shops there for minor items (as Wholefoods is temporarily closed, and I won't go near this place again). The last 3 times (in one month) my husband came home with garlic, red onions, apples and mangoes... all of the worst quality. Onions (in the net) constantly more than 50% unusable, , garlic rotten in the middle (so you can't even see they are bad), and out of 4 apples 1 was garbage after 1 day. And... the prices are equivalent to Wholefoods most of the time, just a horrible quality. I will highly recommend NOT to buy vegetables here, and the fish department has always looked and smelled "fishy".

But it was invisible to me. Until today, anyway. I am so happy I finally found it. Because Gourmet Works is much more than a store that sells candy and chocolate. In fact, as the name would suggest, it's more of a Gourmet food store and Gift Shop than a Chocolate Shop. But it's also a hella cool chocolate shop and that's the main reason I will be sure to return. Right when you walk in the door you are surrounded by an astonishingly large variety of items that would make the perfect gift for a loved one, or for yourself. Because, I ain't gonna lie, there were at least a dozen items that I considered buying for myself. I thought to myself, you know, I do so much for me, and it seems I rarely properly thank myself for my devoted patronage and self care. If you are interested in high quality gourmet gifts, Gourmet Works is definitely the place to go! They carry so many products you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Gourmet Salts, Dried Herbs, Pasta Sauces, Dried Pasta, Curry Sauces, Masala Simmer Sauce, Special Preserves and Jams. An impressive, well-curated selection. Then, at the back of the store you find the kind of Chocolate display case that dreams are made of. Oh my Lord! Just the Truffle side alone would be enough to melt anyone's heart. But the other side, with the astonishing variety of hand dipped chocolates is where I lost it. I saw the Almond Bark and stopped dead in my tracks. I stared at that Almond Bark. The Almond Bark stared back at me. We were locked into that stare down for what seemed like an eternity. I was sure neither of us would ever give in. But then I blinked. Somehow I became aware that the wonderful woman behind the counter was asking me if she could help me. As I regained my senses, suddenly I felt so embarrassed. How long had I been staring at that Almond Bark? How many times had she tried to get my attention? I had no idea. I tried to play it off like there was nothing going on between me and that Almond Bark. I casually inquired about some Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt on a totally different shelf in the display case. Then, of course, I had to buy a couple of those Chocolate Covered Carmels with Sea Salt, to cover up the whole situation with me and the Almond Bark. I purchased a couple ordinary, un-chocolate covered Caramels with Sea Salt too. The woman behind the counter couldn't have been more gracious. She didn't let on that she knew exactly what was happening and I wasn't fooling anyone with the whole Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt charade. So, my thanks to Gourmet Works, and the gracious woman behind the counter, Padmaja (her family owns Gourmet Works). It was such a pleasure to shop at your wonderful store! Mikey C says: I'm coming back for you, Almond Bark!
