Awful. I was shopping for outdoor furniture recently and stopped by here to see what they had to offer. first, the selection was minimal. there were maybe two or three things I would have considered, but then calamity ensued... second, the salesperson new nothing about the products. did the cover come with it or not? oh - that is for a different product...oh that is not included...oh they didn't give me details on that product so I will have to call someone...let me check the booklet... all of this taking excruciatingly long! third, there prices are not great, and I highly doubt discounted. one item she said 'I can do that one for xxx', which was still no bargain. upon finding a really great patio furniture store down the road, which I will give five stars, I found the prices to be the same or better. so do yourself a favor and do not even step into the store. it will be an hour of your life you will never get back. read more

Buyer beware! I purchased from Furniture Outlet many years ago and was satisfied so I recently went back to buy a new dining table set and an electric recliner. The dining table is great. The recliner is not great. Within 2 days of the chair being delivered on 3-5-2026 the motor froze and the chair was unusable. The store picked the chair up on 3-12-2026 to repair it. Since then, now 30 days later, I have had to call the store weekly to try and find out when I will get the fully paid for chair back. The sales lady, Liz, tells me that it is not under her control and advised the in house repairman, Sam, has to update me. Sam never calls back so I keep calling the sales lady who can only tell me a motor was ordered. Just the other day I asked for a brand new chair to be delivered as I should not have to wait for a dud chair they sold me to be repaired. She would not commit to that and said Sam would call me. Well, Sam did not call me as usual. It is ridiculous that this store will not fulfill this order in a timely manner and does not communicate. They also do not refund or I would have requested a refund two weeks ago and gone elsewhere. Be sure you are aware this store will not refund purchases and be prepared for terrible service for problems after the sale. I can't recommend this store after this experience. I asked to speak to the owner and was told they are on vacation - very convenient. I called again today and still no call back. Buyer beware. read more

Terrible! At first everything was great and then downhill from there. They delivered the wrong dining room set and month after month they said it was coming. After eating at a card table for 4 months, we picked out a different set. I thought that they'd match the price of the original, but we had to pay the difference. It came and all was fine. The tabletop got ruined so we ordered a new one. They brought the wrong one! The next one they delivered had a defect, so they took it back and back to eating on the card table. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but was not because of 2 excuses. We waited for 4 hours. We were supposed to be the first delivery at 2:00, but it's now 5:15 and no delivery and another excuse and another day of waiting for 4 hours. No more Furniture Outlet for us! read more

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would! This place has absolutely horrendous customer service! I ordered a couch July 16th. I tried cancelling, they said sure but now have re charged the card. Liz, my salesperson assured me my couch would arrive between 6-8 weeks. She said it may take up to 8 weeks, but no more than that. It is now December 2nd and still no couch. Many people are having the same issues upon reading reviews. I purchased this couch under the assumption that it would arrive in August! She swore it would be delivered within the 8 week time frame! I try calling the store, no one picks up! I tried going I tot he store to ask about my couch, they told me to leave! Clueless people who work here! Where is my couch? I purchased a Klausner recliner almost 2 years ago and with it I ordered a battery pack. About 4 mons ago the battery pack stopped working and I brought it back to Furniture Outlet so that they could check it out. They told me that I would have to order a new one, after keeping it for a month, so I complied and gave them my credit card info over the phone. After not hearing from them for 2 mons I went into the store and they advised me that the manufacturer was not getting them anymore. They also advised that the furniture repair person would reach out to me to tell me how to hook it up electrically. It's been another two months and nothing has happened. I'm so frustrated. Never EVER deal with Furniture Outlet located in Sheridan Park, Bluffton, SC. This place is absolutely horrific! I dealt with Liz as my sales rep in December 2020 to furnish my house. My order of furniture came to nearly $7600 and I put down $3800. I received a partial delivery and paid an additional $2290. Although I kept calling and/or stopping by for an update for the rest of my furniture, I had been told it would come in February/March 2021. I waited until August, yes indeed - the summer! I had relatives coming and still furniture issues. At that point, I had to rush to get furniture from another store because of Furniture Outlet constantly stalling me. After I went to another vendor, Liz had the audacity to tell me that my furniture had been in the warehouse for two months. I would think that a furniture store vendor would check for status updates with any open pending orders but I guess I was supposed to do that for them! Even though I responded that the furniture was no longer needed, I received another call a few weeks later asking when I would like my furniture delivered. Why oh why I held back and reiterated once again "I don't need it now" and to make matters even worse, the manager has yet to call me to rectify the matter. I guess they can't even do that! So please, anyone looking to buy furniture, save your time, money and energy and DO NOT go to Furniture Outlet. This place is a joke and I hope they'll be out of business soon. And one more thing, in case they Furniture Outlet reads this post, I filed a claim with the local Better Business Bureau. read more

I purchased a sectional over the phone and the owner called back on the day of delivery to say I needed to pay an extra $640! Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. They really work with you when you are purchasing but forget it once they have your money. We spent a small fortune there furnishing a second home in Beaufort, SC. Everything was fine until the last bedroom set was delivered without the brackets for the mirror that was supposed to be over one of the dressers. The delivery guy said he would let them know at the store and that I should expect a call. After about one week, I finally called to follow up and that's when the runaround began. It has taken months (and I mean months) to get this resolved. We finally had to drive out there and were handed a set of brackets that not only didn't match the set but didn't fit. My husband told our sales person what he thought about the service and decided that he would just as well build the brackets himself. It just wasn't worth the aggravation. As a side note: the sofa and loveseat that we ordered were delivered in the wrong color but we decided that since they looked ok, we wouldn't press the issue. I now wish we had. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store. They are not that much less expensive and the service definitely does not warrant the small price differential. read more

This place has horrendous customer service. I ordered two chairs and a sofa. They delivered the chairs incorrectly assembled. When I sent pictures to my sales rep she agreed they were horrible. They sent them back to the warehouse to be fixed. It took two weeks to get them back, and they were the same. They claim that it was a custom order and are deducting a 25% restock fee, even though the chairs were not as described. Every attempt to get a return phone call goes unanswered. I have left messages with the owner and two different managers, with no luck. They have made no attempt whatsoever to contact me and resolve this. read more

I bought a house in Bluffton in November of 2020. I was in need of living room furniture and went to Furniture Outlet to purchse. I paid, in full, by check on 11/03/2020. I informed the salesperson, Liz, that I would not move into my house until January 2021. The sales order indicated a delivery date of 4/09/2021. It is now 9/29/21 and I have yet to receive my sofa. Every attempt I have made to get a delivery date has been met with excuses, lies and misinformation. I have asked for a refund as the last inquiry I made I was informed that the sofa had not been manufactured as of that date (Sept. 6,2021) I have had no feedback from them since that date so today I called the office manager, Roxanne, who told me that my issue was out of her hands and that I would have to wait for a call from the owner, Mr. David Stir. All I want is a refund. They have had my money since November 3, 2020 and I could have had that money invested for these 10 months. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I understand the difficulties this country has experienced during COVID but I don't understand why this business did not offer to refund my money or give me another option. Instead, they continued to use my money without providing me with the product I had paid for. A terrible way to treat customers. This is the worst furniture store I have ever been to. I placed an order on Friday at 3:00pm and cancelled it on Sat Morning at 9:00AM. They refused to give me back my 600.00 deposit. The manager would not even come to the phone I reported them to Consumer Protection and I'm thinking about going to the news. Who cheats an 80 year old out of her money? Warning! Do not buy at the Bluffton Furniture Outlet. Upon furniture delivery, I complained to sales person and store manager regarding the poor construction, inferior leather quality, loose stitching on arm of recliner, several scrapes on leather and irregular line-up of sofa cushions. It took owner four months to respond to my numerous calls and complaints. Store has overpriced merchandise and poor customer relations. We're still in dispute with owner who does not return calls. I've tried to return furniture but the owner refuses acceptance. I have never experienced such unreasonableness, non-responsiveness and dishonesty. After finding what we were looking for, Kendall was right there to help and answer ALL our questions. I was able to choose my fabric and everything. My husband I ordered an upholstered chair (just under $1,000) on June 10. This was way into the Covid crises. I asked when we can expect it to come in. 6 to 8 weeks was the response. "Liz" was our salesperson. I paid the whole thing although only half was required. By the 7th week I called and was told by Liz (no one at the store will help you other than your salesperson!!!) that the chair was "in production". I called again after 8 weeks and the chair was still in production. September was the next update. No, that was not going to do. I asked for my money back and to cancel the order. No, was the reply. I called again after 11 weeks and the chair was still in production. No cancellation because Liz works on commission! October 30 was the next date given. I called my credit card company and cancelled the order that way. Also during one of the calls Liz told me that she's did not tell me 6-8 weeks!! Now we can add lying to the mix! I would never go to or buy from these people again. I also tried to contact the owner via their website and received no response. I wonder how much longer they will be in business? If the manufacturer was going months longer to produce an ordered item, a refund should be offered period. Virus or no virus. Consumers have rights. read more

We live in Gaffney, SC and had ordered furniture for our condo at Hilton Head Resort. The furniture was delivered yesterday. However, we also paid to have the old furniture removed. I was personally there when the two delivery men removed our old sleeper sofa from our unit. The two men were gone for about 10 minutes. When they returned they commented on how heavy the sofa was and how exhausted they were from carrying it down three flights of stairs. I thank them, paid the bill, and continued on with my day. I left to return home last night and decided to use the stairs and not the elevator at the resort. This morning we received a phone call from Hilton Head Resort stating that we had been fined $150 for leaving our sofa in front of the 3rd floor elevator and that if it wasn't removed in a timely manner we would continue to accrue fines. I was also told by the property manager that they had all of this on video! I immediately contacted the Furniture Outlet. The owner has refused to talk to me directly. He had one of his salespersons call me and tell me that this was not the story he received from his delivery guys and that if I wanted the furniture removed that I would need to pay an additional $59 and that he would NOT be taking care of the fine we received from the resort. Why would I pay a fee to have my furniture removed but then have the delivery guys leave it in front of the elevator knowing that I live 4 hours away and that the condo was going to fine me? I guess I should have done my homework. I was about to have right shoulder surgery and the beautiful leather recliner I had at home was too hard to push into the recline position. I went to Furniture Outlet because I previously had an excellent experience purchasing two sofas. All the recliners but one had a lever on the right side to activate. The one I purchased the day before my surgery reclined easily with little effort and no lever. When I came home from surgery, I had a large stabilizer and sling. The chair was too small for me with the sling. I only sat in it for a couple hours. I called the store the next day and asked to return it as I could not use it. They have a no refund policy which I was not aware of. They offered to pick up the chair and give me credit toward something else. I have a house full of furniture and need nothing. I only needed this because I thought it would be better for me, but it wasn't. I had no way of knowing that until I had the sling on. I can understand if I used it for a month and asked to return it, but it was a matter of hours. I made a mistake - an expensive one. This is a very popular recliner and they could have sold it again by now, but no one has had the courtesy to contact me. My saleswoman was nice, but after 3 weeks and several phone calls to her, she finally asked me to send an email to the manager, David, which I did. It has now been 2 weeks. I have called the store 3 times and asked for my salesperson and the manager to call me. No one has. I understand the no refund policy, but I do feel my situation is unique. I always try to support small local businesses, but this is hard for me to understand at a difficult time in my life. read more
