We ordered a Sterns and Foster mattress in January and it was delivered on February 6th. it had holes in it and a broken handle. The delivery drivers took it back and brought us another one. The SECOND one had the exact same problem in the same places. On the 7th they brought us the THIRD one. It looked like a roller coaster. We requested a refund. Their response was no, they would bring us a Fourth one or we could choose something else. This was a $3,700 mistake for certain! read more

We visited Joan Carter and discovered Berlin Gardens furniture which we had never heard of (even though we moved from Ohio and it is made in Ohio). Joan was very informative about the quality of the furniture, spent lots of time with us playing with furniture and color options, and provided us with color samples to take home (loved having the color samples to play with since we are using several colors on various items). I emailed Joan several times with questions and she always quickly replied with no pressure to purchase. Very pleased with the service here and the cost of a the same exact Bedframe was $100 cheaper than a local competitor. The person who helped us did an excellent job and worked with us on some pricing. The delivery guys were outstanding. They had to get a Queen Headboard up a spiral staircase and a couch through a very tight doorway (pieces of the door had to be removed). They were so nice and did an excellent job! Very happy with the quality of the furniture and vast selection in their showroom. You can also custom order pieces. read more

My initial purchases here in May 2020 ( as retail stores reopened with Covid) were a good experience, despite inadequate selection. The sales staff was very accommodating ( they work on commission). Delivery was expedient. I referred many people to this business but as business picked up, it became an unsavory experience. Despite being family owned, the Customer service was vey poor and unfriendly. Recently one of the 8' x 10' rugs that I bought 14 months ago developed ripples across the entire width and at every 10-12 inches. It was a tripping hazard. I contacted my sales person and she referred my problem to the service team. I sent pictures and asked for advice on how this could be remedied. I was NOT asking for a refund or a new rug....just a "fix". Their suggestion was to put down something heavy to flatten it out ( are you joking? This is an 8x 10 rug)They flatly refused to help me in any way and ended the "discussion" with "Thank you for your business". I live in a newly built community and there are hundreds of villas and houses under construction. This is a gold mine for business. Please do not shop here.... read more

Wanted to update with delivery. They called yesterday, as promised, between 4 and 5 and scheduled delivery for today for between 11-1. Knock on the door at 1045 or so...............SUPER nice guys, very respectful, came in, unloaded, put everything together and was gone in 20 minutes! Could not have asked for better! Purchased a mattress, foundation, area rug, 6 bar stools and a small bench. The mattress, foundation and area rug were delivered quickly and are great, however on 5 separate occasions we were given different stories about the stools and bench. They were "on the way", "they'll be here next week" etc. After 7 weeks I was told that our items were on back order. If I knew they were on back order from the start I would have purchased something else. These were not custom items, just regular off the floor stuff. So I decided to cancel these items and was told there would be a 25% restocking fee...what are they restocking? They didn't have my items and couldn't even order something from the manufacturer that's not in stock. So I decided to wait 1 more week. After week 8 they told me it would be about a month before I had the stools and maybe 2 months for the bench. It was only after this they decided to give me a full refund for these items. They do have some nice furniture and the staff was great to work with, but I'd make sure to ask if items are in stock so you're not waiting 2-4 months for your stuff. Since then I've purchased 6 stools and a bench elsewhere and had them delivered within a week. read more

The sales and delivery people were great, the product I bought from FWDG was not. I bought a Mattress a Nigel queen by serta for $500. After laying on all the firm mattresses we choose the Nigel as far as being the firmest we laid on. When the mattress arrived at the house it was soft. So I went back to lay on the display and found it much firmer than the new one. So FWDG agreed to swap out the new mattress for the floor model which was fine then after two months the mattress lost it's firmness. I called and was told they have a breaking period. I said I wanted a firm mattress because with a soft mattress I wake up with a hurt lower back. Now I only weigh 215 lbs. I was told I could return it and pay $170 and use the remainder $330 towards a new mattress. I'm very disappointed in the quality of that mattress. We just paid $1850 for a bed with a box spring. I guess making a customer happy is not part of the deal. Signed not happy read more
