The menu is wide and varied and they are happy to make changes where required, which always says to me that the dishes are made up fresh. I have had both the fish and chips and the ribs here and both are very good. I don't think the deserts are made on-site so the main star is the savoury food. The after-dinner coffee was smooth and tasty. Come 9pm, the crowd has thinned a little, but again, due to the "cubby-hole" nature of this pub, it never feels empty as much as it never feels over-crowded.
