I'm not sure how Crystal does it but my dog comes to me, not only happy, but with the most amazing haircut. While the staff working the front desk have always been kind, the groomer has admittedly never been the nicest. Nevertheless, they've been trimming Mojo's nails with the occasional teeth clean. Today I went in - Mojo was brought to the back and about 5 minutes in the woman working the cash area said "I'm going to get you to tap your card - the groomer wasn't able to get all of his nails today. I think he's nervous." I didn't think too much of it, although I was somewhat bummed that it didn't work out. A moment later I heard my dog crying and barking, while the groomer yelled "he is OUT OF CONTROL - I CANT DEAL WITH THIS DOG." I started to panic so I walked over to the dividing door between the storefront and grooming area, and asked what was going on. The groomer responded "YOUR DOG IS OUT OF CONTROL - HE NEEDS TO GO" and at this point the woman working the front of the store peaked over and noticed my dog was bleeding. She yelled back to the groomer and said "hey he's bleeding a lot" and the groomer responded "that's no surprise to me! He wouldn't stop moving." I had to stand there and reassure my dog so he could come out calmly, and that's when I noticed how much he was bleeding out of his two back paws. I grabbed my dog, walked him out in complete shock and as soon as we got outside and back onto the side walk, I watched my poor dog stand in pools of blood. I was completely hysterical - called my husband and sat with my dog in the park across the street trying cleaning his paws with paper towel. My husband - who arrived not even 10 minutes after this had happened - walked back to the store and it was closed (it was 3PM - the store doesn't close until 6.) He knocked on the door, called, and waited for a while, but eventually gave up. We've taken our dog to multiple groomers across Canada and this has never, ever happened. We will absolutely not be returning here - and given the other reviews I've read about knicks, cuts and negligent care, I don't recommend other pet owners do either.

While there was a short period during lockdown that they were unable to open, as soon as we heard their daycare was open I was keen to send my pup over for some much needed playtime (socialization... he was tired of seeing just Mr. H and myself.. lol). Blu absolutely loves it! So much so that if we even walk in the direction of the store he thinks we are dropping him off for playtime. He drags me all the way and doesn't even bother to show some grief or anxiety (at-least fake it Blu). He is usually pretty tired out for the rest of the evening. Would definitely recommend their daycare. BONUS: They usually post on social media pictures from daycare and I love being able to see how his day went. On the downside, if they don't post his pic one day I miss it terribly.
