More of a historical institution for anyone who grew up playing video games at arcades in the 80s and/or 90s than a big arcade.

I have been going to Funspot for over 20 years. I can still remember when it was one small building. It's a mansion now, and a playground for the young and old alike. The nice thing about Funspot is that they have something for everyone. They have air hockey, bubble boy hockey, and old Atari games for us old timers...and they have the newest modern games for the younger kids. My only grievance is the cleanliness and general order of the building. It's a bit shabby and dreary, but hey...you're not there for the atmosphere, you're there For the gaming!! Overall, a fun place to spend an hour or five on a rainy Sunday. And the whole family will have a good time! read more

We spent a couple hours here on a cold, rainy evening while on vacation in this NH lakes region. There was a nice variety of pinball machines, classic video games, air hockey, and skee-ball. I enjoyed playing Cyclone and Pac Man pinball; Tetris, Q-bert, Ms.Pac Man, Joust, skee-ball, and my favorite... Centipede. They were playing 80s music, which was fun. There's bowling downstairs, and a mini golf course which would be good for families with small children. There were also small bumper cars. There's something here for all ages! read more

Came to Laconia just for fun spot. Honestly the classic arcade games level gave me a euphoric childhood sense of wonder, seeing and playing games that I had forgotten about it had been so many years. It truly was a wonderful experience. Clean, almost every machine operational (some down is expected when it comes to vintage gaming) proper lighting for long term gaming and a wonderfully massive selection. Employees tend to push there way through a bit without even saying excuse me, and that is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars. The overall experience however was worth it and I fully plan to return again. read more

Used to love Funspot, but due to their decision to rip us off....we will not be back. They clearly advertise weekday bowling for $3.75 a string and no shoe rental on their site. We come up to bowl and are informed that dispite the fact they are to lazy to change their site, they are not willing to honor that deal. Keep screwing locals like us and see how fast you go under. read more

Decent place to drop $20 on arcade games. That 20 will give you hours of pinball/vintage arcade fun... more interested in checking out bingo one nightmare read more

Love this place, classic arcade games bowling, mini golf. What more could you ask for. Awesome experience read more

If it's a game and legal, you can play it at the Funspot. Bowling (both duck pin and ten pin), skeeball, arcade games, slot machines, air hockey, mini golf, etc. It is all there. The arcade games are particularly impressive. Personally, I'm in for the skeeball, but in the arcade upstairs there are plaques over the oldest machines giving you that game's "story". Nice to see some places in it for more than just the money (but I'm sure the owners do ok...) read more

This place is AWESOME. It's old but very well-maintained, and it's got something for everyone. It has antique mini-golf, a full bowling alley with candlepins as well as regular pins, two restaurants, and three floors of games. We were there on a Thursday night and the bowling alley was full with league bowling, but we grabbed a lane and played two games and ordered a pizza, which was delivered right to our lane. We also played a lot of skeeball, always a favorite... and my husband played all the old arcade games. If we had kids, I think we would have been here way way longer- there are games for kids of all ages, even rides for little little kids... This is a great place to spend a night with your family- there is so much to do and it's all very affordable- tokens are $25 apiece and most games are 1-2 tokens to play. It was raining when we were there so we didn't get to do any of the outdoor activities, but we'll definitely be coming back here next time we're in town! read more

I had my niece and family visiting last week and we went to Funspot. He daughter, 5 year old, was in awe! After being mesmerized by all the games, he got hooked on skee ball. She didn't want to leave, but when we did, she had a huge smile on her face!!!!! read more

I've visited Funspot for the past 3 summers and was originally introduced to it after a friend saw the video game documentary, "King of Kong." I went on to see the film after a few visits and immediately wanted to go back! The major highlight at this massive arcade is the classic gaming FLOOR. I had no idea Q*Bert had a sequel and by the third summer, I was actually able to pass a few levels! For $20, you get a TON of tokens that you can share with a friend. The classic games end up costing like 8 cents per play, cheap than the 70s and 80s. There are HUNDREDS of games from several Pac-Mans to Pong, Contra, Super Mario Brothers (yes, the NES game), Frogger, Tetris, and of course Donkey Kong -- the actual machine used in the movie. Be sure to print out the coupon from the website to get extra tokens. There are also more up-to-date games, mini-golf, carnival-style games, bowling, and kiddie games. It's fun for the whole family and, if that's not enough, there are go-karts across the street! It's a ride from where I live, but well worth the trip to revisit these games in their original format. read more

You'll get a few hours out of $20 bucks and a lot longer if you don't play the ticket-based games. Had a lot of fun here, there are a few floors of games, some are old arcade games and pinball games, a bowling alley, some bumper car things for the kiddos. Good times for all ages. Wasn't crowded at all in mid-October (off-season). read more

Funspot - Arcades Near Me - Laconia, New Hampshire

This place is the Walmart of arcades and I love everything about it. Just a few examples of why Funspot is not only fun, but an experience to say the least: 1.) The run down nature of the place. The smell reminds me of when my grandma use to chain smoke Kool cigarettes, giving me secondhand COPD in the process, and then covering it up with CVS perfume. The carpet reminds me of a frat house from my younger years at college where you don't know whats a stain and what is part of the carpet design. 2.) While playing one of the shooter games, and old man struck up a conversion with me telling me "Damn that game reminds me Vietnam back when I was 17". Now most people would be off put by such a comment but to me I have never experienced such encouragement while playing an arcade game. I knew I had to keep going to make this man proud. 3.) While going to the bathroom a man entered and for some reason chose to go the bathroom right next to me instead of the numerous other places he could have chosen. This man was dressed in a full on American flag jumpsuit and cowboy boots. I swear I saw a bald eagle fly off his shoulder as he came closer. 4.) $20 will get you at least 2 hours of fun if you know how to spend it. That also factors in the 3 or 4 tokens you will probably loose to faulty machines or just a snafu. Overall, Funspot is similar to the local dive bar. Cheap, reliable, and always there when you need to get away. You can keep your hipster arcades, and your fancy Dave n Busters because Funspot stays true to its roots which is rare in today's world. Come for the games, stay for the experience. read more

Love the bowling with grandkids. Gives the kids a mice place to blow off steam. Want to try there bingo one day.

Best arcade for all ages ever! I have been coming here for 50 years, first as a child myself, then with my children, now with my grandchildren. We LOVE Funspot read more

Funspot is the best! My husband has been coming up here with his family since he was a little kid, and we've been coming back time and time again since he introduced me to it! I love playing all the old games I remember seeing in the arcades growing up, as well as seeing all the great classics that were before my time! Keep up the great work! read more

I have been coming to Funspot since I was a child. I'd come up to Laconia with my friend's family and we'd spend the week on the lake and there was always a day we went to Funspot. As an adult I don't get up here as often as I'd like from RI but when I do I love it. All the games, the bowling and the pub. Sure, some of it's nostalgia for the days when arcades were everywhere. But, they do an awesome job keeping their games maintained. They have an excellent selection and they even trucked some of it to PAX East last year in Boston which I attended and was thrilled to be able to play some of these classic sans a 3 hour drive. If you haven't been, go. It's great with kids or without! read more

If you are every in the Laconia area, be sure to check this place out if you need to kill some time. There are many different types of games here to keep you entertained for hours, if not days. The games include pinball machines, arcade machines, bowling, and ski-ball among others. The only downside is that I felt some of the arcade machines could use some repair/restoration. Some of these are 40+ years old. And as a side note, during the so called pandemic, this place did not force you to wear a breathing restrictive talisman. Til this day, I have not good evidence that these things have saved a single life. This place was a great experience overall. read more

This place is simply amazing. Best arcade I have ever been to. Do understand this is best for those that love the older games. They have a lot of newer stuff too, but you come here if you are an OG Arcade Gamer... Literally almost ever old game you can think of. While visiting the White Mountains I came 2 days in a row (an hour each way). Can't wait to go back. read more

We've been around Funspot for a long time. There are so many games, from the old boardwalk games like SKeeball, to pinball machines, old arcade games, and some newer stuff. Honestly, if you want to have some fun for an afternoon when the weather isn't nice, FUnspot isn't bad. Definitely find some of those coupons spread all over the place (supermarkets, McDOnald's etc) because you'll blow a $100 easy if you take the family. Fun for everyone though. The tickets don't buy much when you win them, which is one of the reasons I took a star away. Also, the food is not good and is super expensive at the Braggin Dragon. Not sure what its braggin about. Yuck. There's a more adult pub by the bowling alleys (yes, the bowling is a good deal and a lot of fun), and its food is marginally better. With enough beer... it's just fine. read more

I loves me some video games. Fun Spot *does* have an amazing selection of old school video games, ten pin and candlepin bowling. Lots to do. But! We went on a Wednesday, and expected to get a deal on the pizza and bowling. Guess what? We didn't. It was a "holiday". What holiday, you might ask? Why, the week after Christmas. Yep. Apparently the entire week is a holiday. And they have CRAPPY pizza. So, I walked outta there feeling a bit ripped off. Probably won't rush back... read more

I love this place. Everything was so well maintained. The machines are 40+ years old and in great shape. Candlestick bowling has auto reset. Plenty of staff to help. And everything was one token. Come and have a family day and leave happy. We have to drive an hour from our vacation to spend the day, but we get lunch overlooking the lake. It's amazing. read more

If you like arcades in any shape or form, this is it. Other than a slightly higher than normal defect rate in the old games, it's a gamer's heaven. Don't expect a lot of cutting edge new games, expect to be whipped back to the 80's. In a good way. And, spotless bathrooms. read more

When you go to New York, and you want the BEST slice of pizza, where do you go? Sit down at a nice restaurant, hit a stand? Usually the answer lies somewhere in between. That divey place where they don't have anywhere to sit, but a few counters is all you need. This is where they have been doing it forever, and this is where they get it right. Funspot can only be described in these terms. Funspot will not blow you away with the decor, or the newest games, or it's amazing service. This place is a head first dive into nostalgia. One giant room is reserved for games made before 1990. I don't need to go into details, if you have a true old-school game you are dying to play, they have it. If you are looking for the latest and greatest, don't go here. Funspot needs to be experienced. It's not gonna cost you much! I think me and my friends spent 5 dollars each on quarters (we got some free for getting 20$ worth from the bowling counter) and by the time we were running out we had been playing for hours. The Candle Pin bowling is also a great time, nice to switch it up from the regular 10-pin. Just go! Funspot never closes, you won't be disappointed unless you are looking for something else... read more

I always come here whenever I'm in the area. Three whole floors of arcade games and only $20 for 100 tokens will give you easily several hours of gaming, especially in the huge retro arcade on the top floor. All of the old games from the 1970s and 1980s are here, and while some are broken all the time it seems that they're generally fixed pretty quickly. Great for kids and family as well as for older people who can really enjoy the arcade cabinets and pinball machines on the second and top floor. read more

We go here every year. There is lots to do and there is usually a deal going on where you can get extra tokens with a coupon that is available in the stores nearby. They have bowling and 2 minigolf courses, 1 indoors and 1 outdoors. They have an entire area that's just pinball machines and another that is all just the classic arcade games. They also have a place to buy food and also a place to win tickets to use at their price counter. It's pretty impressive overall. read more

Funspot - Arcades Near Me - Laconia, New Hampshire

Best arcade around for sure, the selection is unlike any other place. My only suggestion would be to have staff more attentive to cleaning the place; wiping down machines and regularly checking for coin jams. read more

Funspot - Pinballs - Arcades Near Me - Laconia, New Hampshire

Other people are correct in this being a living time machine. Which, in my opinion, is refreshing! Having recently gone to an arcade at New Roc City NY where it is all on cards and no printed tickets....this place was 10x more fun!!! Using tokens and playing all my favorite games seeing how many tickets I won (which wasn't too many, I clearly need more practice)! My friend said we had to go as it is one of her favorite places when in the area, I was quite skeptical thinking we aren't kids anymore. I was proven wrong...very good time and will be back! read more

I love Funspot. It is great for people that grew up playing Pacman, Qbert, and Donkey Kong. This is where the classic arcade game records are made. There is a whole floor of games (Tapper!). We are lucky to have such a place. They have lots of pinball. They have skeeball. They also have lots of ticket games. They also have mini-golf (indoors and outdoors), bowling (candle and 10 pin), go-carts, golf simulator, etc. I will say this is mostly fun for either adults (classic arcade lovers) or young kids. They do not have a lot of newer games and many teens that like Xbox are not going to love it here. They also have a new hall with bingo and a "casino". I haven't been. Also I have to mention much of the documentary "King of Kong" was filmed here. It is a great movie if you haven't seen it read more

This place is pretty cool. They have all of the things from the new arcade games that scam you, to old arcade machines like gauntlet and donkey kong. (In addition to all of these things, they have super mini cars you can drive around) The one thing that disappoints me about this place is the crappy prizes that you can get with your tickets. (If you need to get a lot of tickets, on the first floor, there is a game called colorama, just put a coin on each color and you always win.) 7/10 would arcade again read more

It is Funspot. It has everything for kids of all ages. Old games including Pacman and Mario and DK, to Time Crisis and Indoor mini golf. With 20 lanes of bowling and a full bar, downstairs, second floor and third floor all full of games of all kinds. The only thing it does not have is DDR. As I said. It's great. I love it and I will continue to go here. Open year round except major holidays. One for the books guys. read more

NO ONE inside that building had a mask on. not a single person except one mom who's kid didn't have one on. no employee was wearing one either. things were NOT being sanitized or cleaned by the few employees i saw. it would have been fun but i was worried about my health the whole time. read more

I was very disappointed when I tried to use my coupons from my KidStuff coupon book I purchased through a fundraiser at school. The coupon was for 25 free tokens when you buy $20 worth. I was told that I couldn't use my coupon because al the machines recently had been upgrade to automatically give an extra 25 tokens with a $20 purchase. Ironically, I was told something similar last year. I was disappointed that they would advertise in a school fundraiser book and not honor their coupons. I did speak with a manager who was very pleasant but only offers it was the owners decision. Bad form FUNSPOT. read more

Best arcade around! Has like 3 floors plus bowling and restaurants all in the same place. Always have an incredible time here

Poor atmosphere. Air quality was poor, very heavy and warm. It was a relief to get outside. Several machines out of order. Staff was nice and helpful however when, on more than one occasion, a machine malfunctioned. If just looking for something fun to do, there are probably better options. read more

I went to this arcade because I heard a lot of good things about it I go there and I beat there record on paceman only using five coins. There were three floors full of amazing games donkey Kong,Mario and much more. I've gotta start by saying that this is my favorite bowling alley in NH. Classic games, modern arcade machines, redemption games, skiball, bowling (this is what I call fun, I mean real fun:)),bingo, a driving range, mini-golf, a bar, and a tavern. No wonder it's called American classic arcade museum... This place has excellent classic arcade games from the 80s in excellent condition and playability. They got games you either had completely forgotten about or not to mention the games you had never even heard of. Not into games that much myself, but most my friends are just crazy about their games... hehe. Funspot is a great bargain.... It's such an awesome place to bring a group of friends. read more
