Are dogs allowed on the course?

We love fur kids, they just have to be leashed.

The course itself was challenging but not too wacky. Someone put in some considerable effort (and money) to build a quality, modern course, and we really appreciated our experience here.

It's not as fancy or extravagant as the minigolf places in some more touristy-towns, but this is a very clean, very well-maintained course. The holes have some variation in style and challenges to overcome, but not insanely impossible like some other courses. All the holes were par 2 or 3 and very achievable, but not just a flat strip of green leading straight to the hole. I thought it was well designed and laid out. Minor point - the score cards do not have the par already printed on them, so we kept going to write down our score at the end of each hole and saying, "wait... was this a par 2 or a par 3?" Would be nice if they printed the par on the score card. I would just make a point to write it down on the card as you start each hole. The prices are very reasonable. $7.50 per person for the first round and $5.50 if you want to go again. I'm glad we found Paradise Falls Mini Golf, and I look forward to going back.

Pirate's Cove - Andrew. Some sort of manager.

We golfed as a big group, trying to rush along so we weren't holding anyone up. At the end of the 17th hole a manager named Andrew (pictured)came up to my 70 plus year old mother and began to scold her and degrade her claiming he ordered her to split the family up to golf. He then also claimed he told all of us to split up at the beginning but that was a lie. No one ever spoke with him and we would have easily complied with such an easy request. The way he spoke to my mother like the way he was did get a reaction out of me to verbally protect her. His behavior was shocking especially at a mini golf place and we told him he was completely treating us horribly. He then kicked us of the course, snatching the golf clubs out of my 9, 13, and 16 year old kids very aggressively. Seemed like pretty aggressive and assaultive behavior towards children. We are in great hopes that Andrew knows he kicked out two military veterans (Vietnam War and Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom) off the course for a very minor miscommunication from when my 70 year old mom and dad got the clubs and made payment. We are in hopes the owner will make this right with my mother and father who were just trying to spend time with their family.

I spoke to a manager this morning about my concerns and she was rude and insulting towards the customers that go there. She also gave me a story about how none of the issues were the company's fault. She blamed the customers for the problems with the course. For this reason, I will not be visiting any pirates Cove establishment in the future.

I don't know how to describe it except to say: it's a casino. Plot twist: it's not two levels. It's three. Like a casino lasagna. Every floor is more machines, more blinking lights, and more moments of "wait... where am I?" Yes, you use coins--as it should be. None of this "unlimited play" nonsense. You put in $20, get a pile of coins, and suddenly every game feels meaningful. Even the 80s games cost coins, which honestly just adds to the thrill. Did I expect nostalgia to be free? No. And I respect that. Prize strategy tip: if you want to win big, slot machines are your friends. This place knows what it's doing. Skill, luck, commitment. A journey. We came searching for a game called something like Dragon King? King Dragon? Royal Lizard? Not sure. We never found it. The casino consumed us first. Bonus points: there's free pizza during breaks, which I only discovered because I accidentally started applying for a job there. Competitive wages, paid breaks, flexible schedules. Suddenly the casino is offering real benefits. Final verdict: chaotic, nostalgic, coin-fueled joy. Five stars. No notes. Would I go back? Yes. I think the casino chose me.

Beyond the arcade, they've got indoor mini golf, bowling, and even a tavern, so there's something for everyone, kids and adults alike. This place is fantastic and I'll definitely be back. There were many teams with their fun team shirts and lots of awards being handed out. Though busy, we didn't have to wait at all to order and get our ice creams. They had a variety of flavors. Their cones come on two sizes. I got the one scoop and it was huge. I wouldn't have been able to finish a 2 scoop in one sitting. We also walked around the welcome center, which gave visitors a chance to learn the history behind Grammy Rose's dog rescue. There were some puppies in a fenced in area but none to meet in person. They had just brought some dogs up from down south and they were in quarantine for a bit. The parking area is newly tarred. There are picnic tables and there is a bathroom in the welcome center. Guessing there must be other restrooms available when the center is closed but mini golf and ice cream open. Nice to support a place that provides homes for unwanted dogs.

The ice cream shop has so many flavors, and cone options (see picture) There is a lot of seating, with umbrellas for shade. The mini golf course is an 18 hole course with a mix of challenging and easier holes. The theme is dogs, and many of the dog statues talk and say silly things. It is very cute. The dog statues are not animatronic...nothing creepy here, all cuteness. My family and I play mini golf a lot. This place is one of the nicest, cleanest and cutest mini golf places in Maine. And, the fact that all proceeds benefit the dog rescue is an added bonus. There is very nice landscaping with many flowers around the mini golf course. The trees are not yet mature enough to provide shade, so definitely bring a hat if you go on a sunny day. At the end of course there is a case that shows pictures and profiles of dogs that are available for adoption at Grammy Rose Dog Rescue and Sanctuary. There is a very nice visitor/welcome center in the buildings across from ice cream shop. They have lots of pet related items for sale, gifts, and it looks like this is where the administrative team works. I highly recommend the ice cream and the mini golf course.
