Ok, I was NOT looking forward to doing a city tour on a comedy bus but I am so glad I did it. Our tour guide was hilarious! It was right after Christmas and the weather was a bit chilly but you didn't really care. The bus took us all throughout uptown and downtown. The best was seeing the Charlotte skyline which is beautiful. I have to say the jokes were not too vulgar but they had me, my hubby, and my parents cracking up the entire time. We were also able to bring our food and drinks on the bus and enjoy them on the ride. There was a break at a local brewery so people could purchase local beer and food as well as use the restrooms. The music was great as well--great mix for the crowd. The price was great for the four of us, the length of time was perfect, and the bus was comfortable and clean. Loved it! read more

A BYOB comedy tour, sign me up! I had friends coming and wanted to show them a good time. We got Funny Bus tickets through Groupon and packed our mini cooler with beer and wine. The bus is easy to find right across the street from the 7th Street lightrail station. It couldn't be more convenient! When we loaded into the truck, my 1st concern was about space. I didn't know how comfortably we would all fit. We ended up in the very back (like the troublemakers in hight school) and squeezed in 2x2. The only inconvenience was there wasn't much space for our cooler bag. It made for some awkward maneuvering once the bus started rolling and we were trying to get drinks passed around. The ride itself and our host were great. I learned a bit about my town and drinking on a bus was more fun than expected. Give it a try, bring friends, and don't forget to bring tip money. read more

We were a bit worried that it would be a schlocky/ well worn comedy routine but it was nothing of the sort. Thomas was quick witted and had a lot of interaction with the tour bus patrons. We went on the R rated tour one Sunday afternoon and promptly decided next time we have out of town guests we have to bring them on this tour. Our tour guide was hilarious and enganged us in drinking games. Did I mention you can bring alcohol on your tour of the city (beer and wine only)? It certainly made everything a little bit funnier. There will be laughter, embarrassing props and treats (I won a bit of candy). There's a bathroom / drink refill stop at Heist about half way through. The material wasn't all that shocking considering it was the R rated tour but it wasn't suitable for children. There's a PG tour for those with children or who prefer less raunchy jokes. The jokes were just lame overall and she seemed extremely desperate to make the group laugh.
