What a great time!!! My husband and I absolutely recommend this tour if you are in the Charlotte area. Tom was the best guide being able to combine comedy, history and city life info for all of us on the bus. I also thought that it was a relaxing combination of being able to sit back drink your beer or wine and listen to stories of the area. It is an over 21 event which was cool too so he could talk about anything and everything without holding back. read more

Funny Bus Charlotte - Bus Tours Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I've lived in Charlote for nearly two years and have had on my list to try the funny bus tour! My friend was in town so I got a group together to finally go. Overall we had a good time and there were definitely laughs, although I did not feel like I learned very much about Charlotte. For example, we drove by the Queen Charlotte statue but didn't learn about why the city is named after her. We drove through NoDa but didn't even hear why it's called that/what it's short for. Our guide was very interactive with the group on the bus and engaging with us and telling some jokes, but I would have loved for there to have been more incorporation of the Charlotte-specific information or unique fun facts and tidbits beyond "this is a great place for a view, some of these homes were on HGTV, etc." read more

Tom and Dee are so charming and enlightened you with the best knowledge and jokes along the way - would recommend to ANYONE read more

We had a great time on the Funny Bus! As advertised we laughed, learned and bonded as a group. It helped that we had amazing weather in late December! Charlotte is a great city, Roxanne was a great hostess! read more

I see they have alot of good reviews but our experience wasn't that good. Tom needs to.work on his material. Not very funny seemed to ramble for awile talking bout tapas..?? He pointed out good spots to eat and some history so all was not lost read more

Not that funny, guy seemed to just talk out of his ass. Not enough sights to be interesting. Sorry, I mean, a house that appeared on house hunters was a point of interest?? Maybe if you wanna drink in public ‍ read more

Tom was so fun, with great jokes snd lots of local knowledge! Dee was an amazing driver! Lots of fun! Highly recommend!

Just moved to NC and wanted to explore the city of Charlotte. Took the tour with family visiting. Driver Chris and comedian Tom were awesome. A group of us from the Connery, which is a 55 and over community took the Grinch funny bus tour. It was fabulous. Everyone had such a good time. There was lots of laughter and lots of great fellowship. The gentleman that played the Grinch was outstanding. He had so many quick and clever comebacks that just kept us laughing all night long. I highly recommend this and I will attend again. I am not sure what he expected when a 55 and over community booked the tour but I think he enjoyed us just as much as we enjoyed him. read more

Tom and Andrew were great tour guides. A perfect mix of humor while also getting a chance to explore the city. Tom also offered several recommendations for restaurants and activities, for those who don't know the city as well. read more

I just moved to Charlotte and had a friend in town! I thought this would be a great way to get a tour around Charlotte! We had a wonderful time with the comedy, fun games, singing and interacting with the people on the bus and in the neighborhoods! All the alcohol you can drink before getting arrested. A bus full of people doing the same thing. All looking to laugh. A comedian giving you a tour of the city on a 90-minute excursion. This is such an investment. If I had money I will put one of these in every major city. Our comedian was JJ. He was hilarious. There's also a stop at the halfway mark if you want to go get some more alcohol or some trinkets. Whoever thought of the thought of everything. There is a place down the street from where the bus leaves that has excellent restaurants and a beer and wine store that has everything. While we were in there waiting for the excursion we ran in to get a bottle of wine. They said they get people from the funny bus all the time. But there were 30 people being seated at a table with several wine connoisseurs explaining to them the different wines they're about to taste. This whole block was screaming date night. Trains coming back and forth to drop you off if needed. I keep falling in love with the city. It never lets me down. I recommend a funny bus to people who actually live in charlotte. Is that good of a time. By the time we got off the bus our chest was hurting for so much laughing and feeling so enchanted from the alcohol. Lol. I will definitely be back on my next visit. Just because. A lot of people don't know what to expect so the second half of the trip is the best. The alcohol gets flowing and the jokes land way better. read more

What a fun experience! Did the Christmas lights tour with the Grinch and it was so much fun!! Learning history about Charlotte while seeing beautiful lights and drinking tasty brews or wine (you bring your own) made for an amazing good time. I highly recommend! They do tours year round so I can imagine spring and summer time ones are just as much fun. We made a quick bathroom break at a brewery, where you can also buy another drink to bring on the bus if you have time. It's an open air bus so hope for good weather, thankfully we had some. read more

The driver and comedian we got were very friendly and kind people, we appreciated this. While this is meant to be a tour bus, there is really no actual get off and explore part in this tour. They do stop at a brewery (for 15-20 min) but it doesn't really represent the city as a whole and there really is nothing major to explore here. The drive is nice as you get to see Charlotte but that's really all. It just didn't meet the requirements for us, wanted something more. read more

I did the Sober at Six tour. It was Non Stop laughs. "Never Have I Ever" had that much fun riding a Bus. There are very few sober events not just in Charlotte, but in any major city. The Sober at Six Bus sold out in a couple of days. I hope there are more planned in the future. "We" know how to have fun. We just do it without alcohol. Great job Roxanne & our designated (bus) driver Drew Can't wait for the next one!..... johnny chicago read more

A funny way to spend an afternoon. We will do it again for sure. A bus, BYO beer or wine, and a stand up comedian as your tour guide. Lots of fun! read more

I'm so glad we came upon this! It was very cold the weekend we were in town, so this was a good activity to see the city without freezing too much! The tour was 90 minutes, with a stop in the night to replenish and beverages or snacks. It was byob which was great. We did the rated R tour with Shaine. He was hilarious! I learned he did stand up and took his card so we could follow him and hear more of his awesome stuff. While we were having a great time and joking around, we did learn a ton about the city. We saw a lot of architecture and learned a ton of history. I certainly recommend this tour read more

My husband and I are in Charlotte for the first time and we were looking for a fun activity. After some convincing, my husband agreed we should do the funny bus. After, he admitted it was much better than he expected (wife knows best!). The tour takes you through the key neighborhoods in Charlotte and there is a short pit stop in NoDa for bathroom breaks and restocking on drinks. We definitely recommend doing it if you're in town either as a couple or in a group! read more

Worst customer service ever. They oversold tickets and expected my husband and I to split up. How un-fun is that? When they offered us another ride we couldn't accept because we're OUT IF TOWNERS w a very limited schedule, the lady was completely rude and unaccommodating. I suggest you save your money and walk through the beautiful city on your own. read more

This was SO fun! I have never heard of anything like this before and it was a very unique experience! The tours are all "Rated r or pg13". The comedian, JD, had creative ways of mixing in jokes and made the whole 90 minutes entertaining. We were a bachelorette group on the bus and he was so great about song requests and engaging us in the tour. I love that you are able to bring alcohol with you in the bus along the tour as well. There was also a stop at a brewery halfway you could have gotten more if you needed! I will be doing this again if I visit Charlotte! We got to see all the areas and get a great idea of where to visit while there. If you go, do this first so you can see all the areas and plan your trip accordingly! read more

Really good tour or Charlotte. Hilarious and educational with the addition of being able to drink on a bus. 10/10 would recommend.

Lovely bus. Easy pick up spot. Break half way to get beer/wine. Our host was hilarious. I guess some if the fun depends on the other riders. We were laughing , not all seemed to get it. Will do it again. read more

LOVED IT! I booked this as part of my birthday-weekend celebration. It was an absolute blast! Even being from Charlotte, I was not bored as we cruised around uptown, NODA, and Plaza Midwood. Our tour guide was absolutely hilarious from start to finish. I definitely recommend and would even take the tour again because it was so much fun! Pro-tip: If you aren't in the mood for food from the brewery, you can also sneak over to Amelie's for a treat during the 20 minute break. read more

I've heard about this funny bus for a few years now and how amazingly fun it is! Well, it did not disappoint! We had some friends come in from out of town and thought this would be a perfect activity to do. You get a tour of the city's history but the best part is the comedy effect! We had a very talented quick-witted Roxanne as our guide and comedian extraordinaire! You can bring wine and beer in a cooler and get your drink on the bus! They have a potty stop after about an hour where there is a cool little bar and you can grab yourself a cocktail (an espresso martini is the bomb) After you go back on the bus they finish the tour.Is The bus goes through the four wards of Charlotte. I highly recommend it to anyone local or visitors. We will for sure be going again! read more
