We ignored this. After set up, he finally started playing and singing music. I told John up front we had lots of song requests and people that would want to sing. Nick did not have or know a lot of them. It was my party so I was singing and having a good time. People farthest from the set up could not hear anyone singing besides Nick and his guitar. He took many breaks and was served drinks. We were all a bit befuddled by the whole thing. Not professional. Was asked if his Dad could do magic at the party, I declined this but after he got here he still asked again and then asked about doing balloon animals for the kids. Out of kindness I said okay but was not going to pay him. JUST very awkward. I am very disappointed in the company along with the amount of CASH I paid up front. I would be very leery of hiring this outfit. And lastly, like my husband said, we had tons of people here wanting to have a fun time, but guests were upset and sad over the set up. Little things like helping set up other vendor's video presentation and requesting a podium for announcements and including a platform for one of our shorter speakers. We did a "singing for supper" game to see who next goes to the dinner buffet. Our guests loved it. Who pays attention to these type of things, experts? The day of the event came and Class Act coordinated all the different people from all these different disciplines masterfully plus working in our needs at the same time while keeping people on the dance floor. Finally, the dance was not great at all, the initial music played was not in my planning form, and then there was a bunch of slow country songs played simultaneously. Multiple people went up to request dancing music including my husband and myself, I told him to just skip the slow stuff so people could dance. Apart from a few group dance songs, 75% of the dancing crowd dissipated immediately. Overall we enjoyed the ceremony, but are overwhelmed with disappointment for the way the rest of the evening went, I would not recommend unfortunately.

But we knew we were going to have a smaller group in the Cities and that the DJ was going to have to play a central role in the reception here. Chris was our DJ, and he was great. He was there before us, set up went fine. He rolled with the punches when a bunch of technical stuff didn't work out. He made announcements, hosted a "game show" that we did for fun, and made the 10-15 people who stayed to dance enjoy themselves. Basically, he ran the show from 6:00 to 11:00 That's not to say we didn't have the night planned out...we did. But after listening to our instructions, he pretty much controlled the room.
