We went all out on this event with things like special decorations, a theme with our guests dressing accordingly. There was a photo booth, special games, and live performance like a circus act, catering, wait staff, bar staff and several announcements and more. Little things like helping set up other vendor's video presentation and requesting a podium for announcements and including a platform for one of our shorter speakers. We did a "singing for supper" game to see who next goes to the dinner buffet. Our guests loved it. Who pays attention to these type of things, experts? The day of the event came and Class Act coordinated all the different people from all these different disciplines masterfully plus working in our needs at the same time while keeping people on the dance floor. We got all that for about the same price that other places were charging for just a DJ. Choosing Class Act is a no brainier people.

Rudy was great through the whole process leading up to the wedding making sure we had thought through every detail and being sure he had everything arranged for a perfect night (announcements, song requests, first dances, speeches, entrances, etc). Another issue we had is that photos and videos of our wedding were not only posted on his business Instagram but also on his daughters (who was running the photo booth) personal Instagram. We had our wedding on a Friday so we got the photo booth for "free" however during dinner he asked me if I had a vase they could use for tips at the photo booth. When I told him I did not want there to be a tip jar as it would detour guests from using it he was very understanding and did not put it out. In my opinion that should have been discussed before hand and not while I was eating dinner during my wedding. All in all Tim is a great DJ and charges a very reasonable price. They are. We had a wedding and reception in Seattle and a reception in Minneapolis, so I had the chance to compare what you get when you try to save money on the DJ to what you get when you spend the extra. And honestly, you get what you pay for. I won't comment on my Seattle DJ, besides to repeat that you get what you pay for. But we knew we were going to have a smaller group in the Cities and that the DJ was going to have to play a central role in the reception here. Chris was our DJ, and he was great. He was there before us, set up went fine. He rolled with the punches when a bunch of technical stuff didn't work out. He made announcements, hosted a "game show" that we did for fun, and made the 10-15 people who stayed to dance enjoy themselves. Basically, he ran the show from 6:00 to 11:00 That's not to say we didn't have the night planned out...we did. But after listening to our instructions, he pretty much controlled the room. The DJ was a professional, and so was the set up. We weren't really penny pinching on our wedding stuff, but we're not rich either. But we decided we weren't going to skimp on the DJ here, and it was one of the better choices we made during this whole process.
