We didn't plan or budget well for a DJ (we originally were just going to have our friend do it, but that fell through), so 5 months before our wedding, I started having nightmares. Joe was the voice of sanity that talked me down off the cliff. He was knowledgeable, patient, and professional when I explained to him that I was in a pickle. He talked to me about all my DJ options (not just Open Bar!) and worked with me on a price range. When we realized that my date was already booked (see: 5 months out), Joe tapped Jorge to DJ our big day. Jorge, my partner and I were able to chat over a big plate of spaghetti. As a bride, choosing my DJ was one of the most challenging parts of planning my wedding. The DJ is such an important part of the festivities, and I felt pressure to pick an amazing one. I knew I couldn't go with one of those huge companies where you don't even meet your DJ until your wedding day. I was the Maid of Honor at a reception that Joe was DJ for, and he did a phenomenal job! If I could afford to fly him to Charlotte, NC for my wedding, I would in a heartbeat! He got folks on the dance floor that I didn't think would ever be out there. He was personal, engaging, and out there without being over the top. Joe made sure we all remembered the bride and groom were the stars of the show - not him. Greatest DJ ever!! We hired Open Bar for our wedding and our dance floor was full the whole night! Joe played songs that all of our guests would enjoy (young and old). He is so charismatic and is a pro at leading the party. He does a lot get the crowd involved in the night and feel welcome and comfortable. It is evident that Joe really cares about the couple, as he met with us in preparation for the big day, listened to what we were looking for, learned about us and our families, and was therefore able to personalize our reception.
