We started with vino of course from a long selection of local Tuscany wines. We then split a vegetable salad that was topped with fresh balsamic and olive oil, bread, phenomenal Cacaio e Pepe and a pizza. They cook the pizza on a wood fire grill so we had to try it! One of the servers kept telling other tables about "cake" so of course we inquired and settled on chocolate. It was delicious! Service was great and accommodating to English which was helpful. Would recommend! Dining room also promotes conversation with close tables. We met a sweet pair of ladies on a girls trip and chatted it up with them over some dessert and vino. Lovely experience!

However, even better was a delicious and seemingly unconventional pasta with cheese and mint (ever so slight mint taste) and mild yellow tomato sauce - a winning combination. If it is not a permanent menu item, it should be! The bruschetta gets a top grade as well. Brava! We can't forget to complement our serving staff who were so friendly as we tried to practice our Italian. Fortunately they also spoke English and made sure everything was going well at our table. I had worried over how multiple dietary restrictions would be received in a city not as touristy and large as Florence, but the owner (I assume) did not make me feel like I was asking for too much, not at all. He boasted that they offered the best gf pasta and that they would make me something that I could both feel safe with and enjoy. And I did, on both counts.
