I received emails from Jada from FundMerica over the past year. I had finally decided it was time to get additional funding to grow my business, and I responded to her email. I was excited to hear more about what FundMerica could provide. When Jada called me, I inquired if we had worked together previously as I received funding through a similar company last year. Jada answered my questions in yes or no quick fashion which seemed defensive and not customer service friendly. I asked if perhaps I caught her at a bad time as she seemed rushed. She asked me to elaborate and I explained how her short answers didn't make me feel that I knew much about FundMerica. She confirmed that she answered the question. At this point I advised she didn't seem too keen on having my business and that I like to feel comfortable and in good terms with companies I partner with. She said that was fine and ended the call. ...Very Disappointed to say the least. This was the Opposite of Lendzi, who communicated with me as if they wanted to do business with me. To top it off, I was going to tell Jada, well let's just move forward as again, perhaps she was having a bad day. I dont know where to start. But I wasn't even looking for funding & received a call from this company. The representative name is Nicole Sullivan. We spoken through emails for a few months before me deciding if I wanted to deal with them or not. I was asking to submit 4 months bank statement first time was with one bank showing I made well over 100k in two months. But was denied because one month had lower income than others. So i presented other bank statements which one of those months was even lower than the other one. I was asked what I needed the money for or going to do with. I said buy box trucks. She asked how much are they, I told her roughly around 40k - 50k. Mind you I dont really need the loan, I just wanted to see what they will do since they kept calling me. So anyways she runs my personal credit after they said that doesnt matter. Then comes back with an offer of 16,000 lol. I make that in two weeks. Im like go ahead since im this far lets see what else. She comes back with 18k with a pay back of 26k at 299 a day for 4 months on a short term loan. Another guy calls me to set everything. Wanting full access to my bank account. He ask me a series of questions. Like what I need the money for, is enough. Which I told him yes me and my partner have the rest. Well that seems to be a problem.because he told me that they just didnt have funding for the night but will call me in morning lol. Then the broker Nicole calls me and gives me another story saying they rejected the offer due to me not allowing him access to my other accounts which is false was never asked to see them. I had a recent experience with Fundmerica that was not good. They made a business loan offer with a 167% APY after 2 days of review of my application. I had been declined by them two times in the last 2 years and perhaps I should not have given them a 3rd chance but I did. I declined the offer and then received an automated message asking me to call back the funding department because they had perhaps made a human error. The person I reached said the automated message was sent in error. I am someone who does not like to write negative reviews for any business. I do feel it is important that I inform other consumers of the way I was treated. I do have a moderately strong personal credit and very little business credit. But I have called them several times to ask them to Please Remove My Number from their auto dialer. But they don't! They take my number I am calling from and put that number into their system to call me on that number. Then they block me from calling their number! Yes They take the time to BLOCK ME from calling their number but will not stop calling me. Predatory Lender. They call and advertise they will lend up to 15% of your gross income on your business at 5% rate, of course depending on the viability of your business. They asked me for 3 months bank statements, which I provided. I've been in business for over 8 years with gross income of $120,000, which I substantiated and have excellent credit personally (785) and on my business. They called back and said they could give a $5,000 loan for 5 months and I'd have to pay back $7,000. That is literally a 96% ANNUAL RATE!!! I'm sure they'll respond here saying my credit was poor or business didn't have good history, but that isn't the case at all. I called 4-5 times asking to speak to a manager and was repeatedly hung up on. I'm surprised this is even legal. read more

PLEASE BE AWARE IT DOES NOT APPEAR THEY HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND. THE CALL WAS FROM A PERSON CLAIMING TO BE THE MANAGER OF A.G. At 10:03 a.m. I got a call from J.L. who said he was a senior customer service consultant. He was courteous and insistent. He offered me a gift card several times to compensate me with the express intention of getting me to remove my review here on Google and at the BBB. He kept forcing the issue, cutting me off mid sentence and persisted. In the end I politely ended the conversation. Not a reputable business practice - trying to buy me off with a gift card from leaving a review of my interaction with their company. -----------------------------------Here is the original review---------------------------- PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ON THE APPLICATION YOU SIGN AWAY YOUR RIGHT TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE PUBLIC REVIEW REGARDLESS OF HOW YOUR EXPERIENCE GOES WITH THEM AFTER YOUR FIRST SIGNATURE ON THE APPLICATION. This leaves the recipient, LEGALLY BOUND - to be unable to leave a negative review if, after signing the application, they have a poor experience and want to make it known publicly to safeguard others. The penalty is a $7500 fine for EACH infraction + Legal fees. I caught this while I was filling out my application, queried it and it was confirmed by A.G. that this was in fact true. He voiced that its purpose was so that there would be no disparaging remarks. I feel this is an UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICE. Once you sign up with them, you can NEVER speak ill of them publicly - NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO OR HOW THE EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU AS THE CONSUMER. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau as I feel this can catch an unwary consumer and leave them with no ability to safeguard others. Here is the clause: Non Disparagement: You agree that you will not criticize, denigrate, or otherwise disparage FundMerica or any of its divisions, affiliates, or parent subsidiaries, predecessor and successor entities, and its past or present directors, officers, members, managers, shareholders, agents, servants, employees, and their respective assigns, heirs, successors, predecessors in interest, insures, adjustor's and attorneys (collectively FundMerica Parties) or any of their respective products, services, processes, policies, practices, standards of business conducts or areas of techniques of research in any way, provided. However nothing in this agreement shall prohibit you from testifying truthfully in compliance with any lawful subpoena or court order. Since the damages FundMerica parties would suffer if this section would be extremely difficult to calculate, you agree to immediately pay FundMerica the sum of $7500.00 for each violation (In addition to any fees and cost pursuant to this agreement) and in any addition to being subject to any injunctive relief to which FundMerica may be entitled to as a result of your breach. Also - they asked me for my personal Social Security Number on a business loan application for an LLC. I don't feel that is correct. In 30 years of doing business I've left 2 negative reviews - total. This review is my second. I feel this is unfair. To their credit, this text is on the application in bold, blue letters in the body of text with a bunch of other legal stuff. That said, I wonder how many people don't read or understand that signing that, totally limits their ability - EVER - to leave anything but a positive review after they sign that application.
