Took 27 minutes to get three burgers and fries. When they finally came out, all of the food was cold and my burger was so undercooked it looked dangerous. Nearly red inside not just pink and on a super thin burger. Means they barely cooked it. I asked the waitress if it was normal. She said she didn't know. And she really didn't care. Later someone who might have been a manager, looked like in high school, did come by and ask if she could replace or refund, just my one burger. I just said no thanks. Already here long enough. She didn't care. Then all of the servers gossiped and looked at us constantly till we left. I threw my food out. Taste was meh. Nobody cared for theirs. So the concept of the restaurant is cool. I like the whole kid friendly while still being to able to enjoy food and drinks atmosphere. Bunch of TV to watch sports on and the music playing was pretty good. Pretty large beer menu but they were out of the first 2 drinks I tried to order. Was not impressed with the smash burger at all. One of the pluses is the prices were very reasonable. Another issue was that less than half the games worked. One of the "play till you win games" did not produce a toy. Let me start this review by saying I wish I would taken a picture of my order before I started eating but I see there are several other reviews with a picture of a Tri Tip sandwich. I have eaten several Tri Tip sandwiches all around the SCV and this was I think one of the best. The Tri Tip was excellent. Wow, stacked on a hamburger bun with great tasting bbq sauce and coleslaw. What a fun little joint! My kids and I were looking for a fun burger experience. I walked in and saw all the tap beer and was hesitant to go in with my kids. But I asked and kids were ok! The staff were kind and inviting. For midday on a Friday we were the only ones there for a bit which was fine as we had all the play machines to ourselves. We had the Funburger, the chilli cheese dog and the parm fries. Everything was good, except my fries were a bit on the saltier side, still good tho finished em all. The fun Burger classic was okay. Nothing extraordinary here. $8 I think. On the positive side, if you come in here for a game night, with one of the ball games on, then the food isn't that bad I suppose. I ordered mine to go, because honestly I thought this was just a Burger shack type place from Google maps. I was under the impression that you just ordered at the counter, and then they call your number. Kind of like a self-serve type spot. Instead, I didn't realize this was a full-blown restaurant and sports bar. I didn't have the time to sit down and get the full experience, but ordering to go, I think the waitresses missed their Mark though. If they just would have made a little extra effort to ask a couple questions when placing the order, I would have tipped them... nicely. For instance, the girl who helped me brought out my order in a to go bag. She could have easily said, "can I get you some napkins? Did you want ketchup?" Or she could have even just said the basics like, "your burger is in the bag. It's just the burger. Is there anything else you need?" Instead what I got was a burger inside of a box. There were no napkins, no condiments like ketchup or mustard, nothing. In most cases, wouldn't your average customer just grab the bag and walk out the door, hoping that when they got home, everything like basic necessities would have been in the bag? Napkins at least. Utensils?... hello? I mean what if I was going to be driving, and wanted to eat the burger in the car? Just saying. Keep in mind, my experience is probably an anomaly for this place. Their regular crowd I'm sure is the game night type who comes in here for a sports game. Not gonna lie. The name of this place has kept me from coming since they opened. It reminded me of "good burger" and doesn't sound like a place I want to go to. However, my not so close minded son and husband stopped in recently and raved about it, so we all went back and it is in fact really good! We got the ribs which were super meaty and fell off the bone, the wings were great, and my son got the pizza that was hot and fresh and super tasty! We had our company Holiday party here and I was blown away by everything. They have an amazing space that accommodated our large group, along with a DJ, a dance floor and all the Fun games. The staff was so accommodating and there was always fresh food being put in front of us. They didn't do trays of sweet potato fries and sliders that ultimately got cold and soggy, they actually passed multiple baskets of fresh everything so everything was always hot, crispy and delicious. I spent some time talking to the owners and it turns out they source their food locally and frequently have limited editions of craft beer on tap. No fun @ Fun Burger...... OK Yelpers, once again 3 stars is A-OK, however my rating would be just under 3 stars and here's why. This place IMO is really for kids (arcade games) and for parents to have a beverage, watch sports, etc. As we know, kids will eat anything and the parents will pay what ever it takes to have all these options under one roof, good quality or not. Most importantly, the food is not of good quality, the portions are very small for the price, being the only folks there, how do fries and a burger come to you almost cold? I specifically ordered my burger medium, nope, it was a Hockey Puck, a tough and tastless dry burger. We specifically came in for bacon wrapped hot dogs because we had an "out of town guest" who wanted that and it was finally our excuse to visit FB. However, when we ordered the hot dogs, immediately the cashier said "we may be out of that!" Really, on a Friday night @ 5:00pm and empty of people! To top it off, it took forever for our food when the place is empty, hence it being cold and not heated! Here's what I think Fun Burgers fundamental issues are and always will be..... Not enough cooking spaces, nothing to keep the food hot while in cue, unenthusiastic young employees scrambling to make it work, at least a visual lack of a manager type person helping the kitchen staff and others, no one walking around to clean tables. I'm just disappointed. I only rate restaurants and nothing else and I'm pretty fair and I don't know how they operate in Simi Valley but this is not going to bode well here if they keep this same MO. The beer wall takes up a third of the kitchen, however they do have a huge selection of beer. The place was not the cleanest though, worth mentioning but won't stop me for a repeat visit. The staff were all kind I had the cheese bomb burger, it was mostly really good and gushing with cheese! I've been to this place about a handful of times with my brother when it first opened, and about a year or so ago, I would've praised this place and told my friends about it. Now, goodness, WHAT has happened to this place? My girlfriend wanted to go on a date at this place since I've spoken well of it in the past and other friends of ours also enjoyed it, so I agreed to go with her. When we walk in, we notice there is a massive party with a substantially amount of small children who were there after some kind of sporting event. This group of children kept hitting moderately sized bouncy balls across the lobby and up into the air; at one point, one of the girls brushed quickly past me and scuffed my hands, and one of their bouncy balls went high over the front counter, bouncing near the beer spouts and toward the registers, almost going near the fryers. With a lack of authority coming from the parental figures of these obnoxious children and with how busy and underlyingly stressed or complacent the staff was, I find it partly odd that the staff did not exercise more caution or seem to be concerned with the potential danger the children were causing. That being said, the food I had was not at all as good as it was a year ago. I ordered the same meal I had before; a BBQ Fun Burger w/Garlic Parm Fries. This time around, my burger was quite dry and texturally unsound; the onion strings were overcooked, and the beef was too, as it lacked the juiciness I remembered from when I went to this place previously. It felt as though the only moisture within the burger was within the BBQ sauce, and if a burger is relying on sauce to maintain a desirable flavor or form of integrity, then it certainly is not worth the money (see image). As for the fries, there was an obscene concentration of parsley on them during this visit, and the cheese did not have the same flair as it had before, along with how the fries themselves were overcooked (see image). Furthermore, my girlfriend and I noticed that on the pizza oven and in the area nearby, there was pizza just sitting around for all to see. My girlfriend was disgusted when she noticed this, and I was oddly confused as to why there is food laying around for customers to easily see when refilling their beverages (see image). I don't expect an establishment to be the exact same pleasant or delightful experience every single time I go there, but this experience has been far too much of a disappointment to consider returning. I'd rather spend $20.76 elsewhere, and when it comes to talking about places to eat with my friends and using word-of-mouth on looking forward to potential places to eat, this place is definitely not up for consideration anymore. Truly unfun; I don't know exactly what could have gone wrong within the last year, but something seems to have, suffice to say. This weekend Funburger is celebrating their Grand Opening with 40% off everything. Staff was great and extremely friendly and helpful. I knew that the discounts don't stack, but as a veteran I always what the discounts are. For First Responders and active military, they offer 50% off. For veterans it's 20% off. The food was sizable in volume and very tasty. The ambience is great, especially if you like sports-bars. The restaurant was very busy and although order numbers were given the servers really didn't seem to know who's orders were who's. When the food arrived it was very mediocre. The signature burger was extremely small and didn't have all the fixings it was suppose to have and the order of onion rings had a total of 4. Definitely, not worth the cost! We held our flag football team party here and it was beyond great. We ordered several pizzas for the players which were very good. We reserved the back room for approximately 25 people and there was plenty of more room available. The staff and manager were very accommodating and constantly checking in on us.
