We were at a local festival and they had a food truck as one of the vendors. We ordered from their food truck at a local festival in Santa Clarita. I do not get the hyper the barbecue at all. We paid $60+ dollars for two plates and ended up feeling like it was definitely not worth it. It makes me upset because food trucks are always a risk of either being worth the price or not. The pulled pork from the 50-50 plate and brisket had no flavor. The meats are at least tender but they tasted weirdly chewy. The mac & cheese was very disappointing and seemed simple. The barbecue sauce needed to be doused on the meat to make sure there's some flavor. My boyfriend also got the tri-tip plate that is worth $30. The meat was more seasoned and spiced. But I did not like the taste of it. It was hard to finish this plate, even though it's barbecue and I love meat. The corn bread also was unsurprisingly not good. Overall didn't finish up our plates even with the pricing too, which shows just how lackluster our lunch was. Maybe it's better in the actual establishment, but that means the food truck needs to be consistent. The staff was friendly however. read more

I saw someone review this on TikTok and could not believe that this was in my backyard and I had no clue. It's relatively easy to find. I went on Sunday at around 11:30/Noon. It was pretty busy for it to be so early. The weight staff was very friendly and very warm and welcoming. Every single person we encountered. We ordered takeout. We had the caveman's platter and the links platter. As sides we had brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, cowboy beans and the plates came with cornbread. I was bummed they did not have collard greens and they did not have potato salad. Apparently collard greens are no longer being served. They've not yet updated their menu. And the potato salad we were advised that a large party had come before us, so there was no more. Which is crazy sad it was only noon and I think they open like at nine or 10 AM. So I kind of felt like we had to resort to what was left and based on how much food we ordered, we had six sides we had to select. Brisket vs Tri Tip- I'm a fatty meat kind of girl. So I definitely preferred the tri-tip. Which had more flavor than the brisket. Now, do not give me wrong by that statement. Because both meats are very good. You can taste that smoke for sure. But the one that you could eat without any sauce would be the tri-tip. The ribs were excellent. The barbecue links were good too. You only get two in the plate and they cut them up in little pieces. But they're good. They weren't overly spicy and they still had some good snap to them. Meats: 9.5/10 The barbecue sauce is a no. It is heavy on the vinegar so bring your own barbecue sauce. The brussels sprouts were I'd say 7/10. They weren't anything too fancy there's kind of like a balsamic on it. They're good but they're not amazing. It could've probably used like some bacon bits or something in it. I don't know. The mac & cheese is a no. It's literally large mushy noodles and watery cheese sauce.. and the cheese sauce is bland. 3/10 The cowboy beans were OK. It's more like a chili for sure. There's a lot going on in them but again they're pretty good. They lean more on the tangy side. When I say tangy, it's probably vinegar and ketchupy if I had to pinpoint the tastes. 6/10. The cornbread is a no. It's more flour based than corn. It falls apart pretty easy. It's kind of dense. At any rate, I'd prefer Jiffy over whatever they're using. 4/10 read more

River's End Barbecue may be located inside an RV campground, but don't let that fool you--the barbecue is definitely worth the visit. The restaurant has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, especially if you choose the outdoor seating. They sometimes even have live music, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The barbecue was delicious. The slow-smoked meats were tender and full of flavor, and the sausages were also quite good. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We went on Father's Day, so the restaurant was very busy, but they handled the crowd well and kept everything running smoothly. Overall, it's a great spot for tasty barbecue in a unique setting, and I'd happily come back again. read more

River's End - Bbq meats are tasty - Pubs Near Me - Santa Clarita, California

Well I just can't get on board with River's End after our experience. If you look at my history of Yelp reviews, it is apparent I work hard at supporting businesses and giving honest feedback. In terms of River's End, I did have high hopes. The Good: Easy to make reservations. The hostess was very welcoming. The bus boys were helpful and pleasant. Out server, Sky was very friendly and accomodating. She offered to give us separate checks which was appreciated. We were a party of 5 in need of 3 checks. The Menu has a great assortment of offerings. The Not So Good: Memorial Day Weekend and short staffed. We came for the brisket and they were low on brisket. It was only available as a sandwich or 50/50 plate. All of our meals came out COLD. Not only was the mac & cheese cold but it was underseasoned. The trip-tip was over done and very dry and tasteless. The cornbread was doughy and undercooked. The woman who brought out our food was not our server, Sky. That woman was somewhat of a smarty pants complaining we did not know our own orders. However the problem was that NONE of the plates had the right sides. One of the 50/50 plates supposedly had brisket and tri-tip but the brisket was a pile of shredded meat of some sort and we could not tell what it was. She was down right rude. They ran out of onion rings but failed to tell the servers and substituted fries without asking what we wanted in place of the onion rings. They didn't even hold back some onion rings for the Bear Burger which includes an onion ring, an enticing reason to order the Bear Burger. I have no problem paying for a good meal, but these meals were not worth the money. It is very likely this could have been just an off day. What I can tell you is that regardless of the situation, I am always courteous and appreciative of all workers in the restaurant world. Since there are many positive reviews, give them a try and hopefully you will have a different experience than we did. read more

The barbecue was very tender, and the cornbread was delicious. We also ordered the pork ribs, but the outside was charred completely black and tasted overcooked. The meat itself was decent, but I didn't feel comfortable eating the burnt parts. The fries were pretty average. Good service. read more

I have been here twice. The first time I had the brisket sandwich which was decent, but the brisket seemed reheated or like they put it on the flat top. Just went here again on a Saturday and had the brisket plate with the chili beans. The chili beans are fantastic different than anything I've had and the brisket was pretty legit. I would say best you can get anywhere close. You could taste the smoke it seemed like it wasn't reheated. We also had the tri-tip which is not your typical tri-tip. It's a smoked tri-tip so it's kind of fall apart like brisket, but still good as well. Sorry I didn't grab any pictures as we had the dogs and there was a bunch of yellow jackets on the patio and we ended up leaving and getting it to go in a hurry. read more

So cute. Great find tucked away off the 14 near Agua Dulce Canyon. Indoor outdoor seating. Yes it's an RV park and a cool one! For kids: they had a bouncy jumper for Easter. They have swings and a small gymnasium. There's space for the kiddos to ride bikes. No grass though and didn't see any dogs. Ambience: At night they have lighting across the parking lot and outdoors super cute. Indoor is bright and casual bar feel. Service: slow but good and expected. They need more laborers. Food: Mac n cheese are shells and thick and the cheese is a white creamy cheese but it was served cold. Probably great when hot. Cornbread is fantastic if you like very dense dulce de leche kind of moist cornbread that's cake like. Really great with the cowboy beans and spicy sausage. Spicy sausage is juice and spicy. A little thin though. Garlic butter wings are good but I asked for them to be fried well done and they were not. Cowboy beans are a little tart with the vinegar but good and hearty. Draft beers are good. Lucky Luke blonde was solid. Good for large groups. If sit outside be ready for mosquitos, wind blowing, they have portable heaters if needed. Very cute spot and food was flavorful just cold. I'll be back. read more

other than the chili and mac and cheese being a miss, everything else was a HIT and made up for it! the 3 meats were perfectly seasoned and tasted fantastic and i'm not a BBQ fan. The pork belly was my favorite but the star of the show was the turtle pie. very decadent and rich but was perfect, I had to have another. the seatac was nice and professional and there were lots of people enjoying their meals. only bummer is I have to wait until Wednesday until they open. read more

This place is fantastic and we found it by chance after striking out on several locations we wanted to try. Not only is this location located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by mountains, train sounds in the distance, water flowing from the nearby river; they even have an RV park where you can stay at. All this is before you even talk about the food. The food is delicious, BBQ in front of you, amazing outdoor communal dining, on the weekends they even have live music to enjoy. This place was amazing and just the kind of place we were looking to enjoy on Valentine's Day Weekend. Amazing food, super friendly staff, great beer selection, great live music, honestly what else could you ask for?! They made it truly enjoyable and we'll be looking forward to coming back and enjoying some brisket and delicious Mac and cheese, cornbread, and honey butter. Thank y'all for an amazing time! read more

Alright I have been going to rivers end for years now and I'm quite disappointed in my last visit. I have notice they have been changing the recipe on some items they may seem small but to me I really wish they would bring back the homemade ranch and fry's! I literally would stop on my way home from work just for a snack of the ranch, fry's and a beer. Another is the Mac n cheese is not creamy like it use to be (could be the noodles they use now) but it was literally soupy at the bottom of the bowl... taste was good it is more Smokey but it needs to be more creamy. read more

River's End is one unassuming but fantastic BBQ spot that is worth making your way out to! Although I wanted to try the Tri-Tip, Brisket, and Pulled Pork, the special of the day was a huge Beef Short Rib (~1LB) with two sides that my wife and I shared. Meat was seasoned and smoked well, fall of the bone tender, and fat was rendered through. One of the better short ribs I've had in a long time, and while the spicy bbq sauce wasn't needed, it was tangy enough to help even out the richness of the meat. The side of sprouts are smoked, then deep fried and hit with a balsamic glaze, and were quite good. Fries were seasoned well and crispy, I could have had a ton of them. I did get to try some brisket and onion rings from another person in our party and the brisket was decent considering it was pretty close to closing and the onion rings were tasty. Food came out in a timely fashion and service was extremely friendly. We felt like we were regulars even though we had never been. Extra point for having a good local beer on draft (I wish they had more local options, but at least they had Lucky Luke!). Wind your way through Soledad Canyon and pop in to River's End for a cold beer and good BBQ! You might even get lucky and find live music or comedy on their outdoor stage or inside the pub, but one thing's for sure, you're guaranteed to get a good plate of BBQ! read more

My parents have been raving about this place so of course when I came to visit they had to take my husband and I for some good BBQ. Growing up in Acton, I was definitely hesitant about a BBQ place in an old RV Park I used to drive by whenever I took the scenic drive home from SCV, but dang this place far exceeded my expectations. First of all, huge shoutout to our waitress, Lorna, as well as the hostess. They were both super friendly and offered exceptional service. The restaurant was pretty big. There was a fairly large indoor dining area, a separate bar, a covered patio, and picnic tables outside. We chose to sit outside since the weather was so nice. We loved the string lights as it added to the cozy atmosphere. They also have live music, but we came later in the evening and missed it (hoping to catch the music next time we come). Now let's talk BBQ. There are a ton of amazing BBQ joints in the State & City I now live, but River's End was some of the best we've had in a long time. My husband and I split the Sunday Special, the beef short rib, which was MASSIVE! It looked like a dinosaur bone. The meat was so tender that we never needed a knife and it had great flavor. We had fries and Brussel sprouts for our sides; fries were standard but good, the Brussels were sooooo delicious. My mom got the 50/50 plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both meats were super tender and juicy, but we all enjoyed the pulled pork slightly more than the brisket. My dad had a mad craving for a burger and said it was pretty good. Going in with low expectations, I was certainly blown away and I'm looking forward to the next time we visit my folks so we can come back for dinner. read more

We heard about this place on Instagram. Decided to give them a try. Its a short 10 min drive up Soledad from Sierra hwy/Soledad intersection. We drove into the RV park and found parking right away. We could hear the band and considered sitting outside but decided to sit indoors instead. My friend and I decided to split a brisket plate and share their pulled pork fries . Our server's name was Janet or Janice. I don't remember. (Sorry girl) She had a warm smile and provided great service. My friend and I decided to split a brisket plate. The brisket plate comes with two sides. We decided on mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. We also ordered pulled pork fries and an extra side of cornbread. The fries came out first. The flavor was well balanced and very delicious. Our brisket platter came shortly after. The Brisket was very good with great flavor, a little dry for my taste but I assume it because we came towards the end of the night. Very good nonetheless. The indoor dining experience was great. We were able to catch some of the dodger game and still have time to go outside and enjoy the band. My friend and I really enjoyed this place. We will definitely come back and bring her husbands. read more

This was my first time here to eat. All I can say is Wow. The service was immediately welcoming and amazing. The waitress was quick and attentive. The food comes out fast. We started with wings , which were crispy but moist on the inside. Pork belly bites holy smokes ! So Good. We then had the jalapeños popper which was so flavorful and delish. We were already almost full but still ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and tri tip. Both were exactly what we were craving ! The side dishes were so good. Fries, beans , coleslaw, corn bread. I'm super sad that I only now ate there. This will be the new go to spot. Weather and vibes were perfect. There was a band. Thanks for the great food and the great service . Came here to celebrate my son's birthday after he kept telling us we had to try this place--and I'm glad we listened. This spot is truly a hidden gem in Santa Clarita for American BBQ. The food was excellent and the service made the experience even better. Ray, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. The vibe in the evening is really nice too--relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for a casual dinner. I was a little worried my wife might not enjoy it since she's not usually a big fan of American BBQ, but to our surprise she loved it. If you're coming here, the brisket is a must-try--tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. For appetizers, the jalapeño poppers and the loaded fries were both standout items and definitely worth ordering. Overall, great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. read more

River's End RV Park: The Place That Ended My Search Five stars isn't enough. I've stayed at some incredible RV parks. I've stayed in places with breathtaking ocean views, beautiful beaches, mountain scenery, and every amenity you could ask for. River's End is different. This isn't a restaurant review. This is an RV park review. And after everything I've experienced since starting RV life, I honestly don't know how anything else is supposed to compete with this place. I thought RV life was going to be about traveling up and down the California coast, constantly searching for the next great destination. Then I found River's End. The first thing that struck me was that people don't come here because they're passing through. They come here because they want to be here. The restaurant is packed. The patio is packed. There are classic cars, motorcycles, families, dogs, live music, and people sitting around enjoying themselves. It feels less like a business and more like a gathering place. You can feel it the moment you arrive. Everyone is happy. That sounds simple, but it's surprisingly rare. Most RV parks are places where people park. River's End is a place where people gather. People stay longer than they planned. Conversations start between strangers. People laugh. They relax. They enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is impossible to fake. The food is outstanding, but if the food were the only attraction, people wouldn't drive all the way out here just to spend an afternoon. They're coming for the experience. And what an experience it is. The property itself is beautiful. Mature trees, open space, rolling hills, a creek running through the grounds, and one of the most unique environments I've ever encountered. But what makes River's End special isn't the scenery. It's the feeling. For someone living the RV life, spending long stretches of time on the road, you notice the difference immediately. Some places are beautiful but feel empty. Some places are convenient but forgettable. River's End feels alive. It's one of those rare places where you look around and realize nobody wants to leave. One thing that may help future visitors: If you're looking for RV reservations, don't stop at the restaurant information. That's what almost happened to me. The restaurant gets plenty of attention online, but the RV park deserves just as much. For RV reservations: 661-888-4272 RiversEndRVPark.com I've traveled to a lot of places. I've stayed in some beautiful places. I've stayed on the ocean. I've stayed in the mountains. I've stayed at places people dream about visiting. But I've never found anything quite like River's End. I thought I was going to spend years searching for my favorite RV destination. Instead, I found it. For me, this isn't just another stop on the journey. It's the destination. read more

Delicious food. A little bit out-of-the-way but certainly worth it. The ribs reminded me of the old trader Vic's restaurant at the Beverly Hilton. We will likely return. Amazing food and great ambiance! Went on a Sunday and sat outside so I was able to watch the live music they offer on weekends. The blues band was great and food was equally as good! To start we each got a jalepeno popper and some here things are huge! Well worth the 7$ each. Huge pieces of brisket on top and very good stuffing. For our mains, the lady got an ipa and the 50/50 platter and I got the vanilla stout with the cave man platter. VERY Very tasty. Didn't get a pic of the cave man platter but the tri tip, brisket, pulled pork, and pork ribs were all great and pair very well with their homemade bbq sauces. Also every cut of meat had a nice color smoke ring on it! I don't think I've ever seen pulled pork with a smoke ring, all very tender and tasty. Nick the pitmaster does a great job and it shows! Will definitely be returning. Also their beans were too notch I don't think I've ever tasted chili like that before but such a unique jalapeño vinegar flavor. I loved everything about this meal. read more

Nestled in the Soledad canyon, this isolated place is a sweet find. If you want to get away from the city and take in a more rustic ambiance, this is a great spot to grab some grub and a drink. Price - $$$ Quality - 5 Ambiance - 4 Portions - 3 Cleanliness - 5 Although mixed cocktails are not available, variations of great beers and seltzers are and I would recommend them. The BBQ is well smoked but portions are a tad small for the cost. The smash burgers rock and deserts are nice touches to end the meal. The band this evening was a gem and better then 98% of live band acts. Recommend visiting this establishment read more

Best bbq in town- no sauce needed! Smoke ring speaks for itself! Meat pulls apart easily. Unique menu options!

Was it worth it? The drive to this location made our group question if it really existed. When we arrived it looked like a dirt lot with RV's. Fortunately there is plenty of parking. Service was efficient and the inside a bit compact but luckily there was outdoor seating. It's summer now so I'd recommend to go inside. The pork belly bites were a bit dry and under portioned for 10 bucks. Had the caveman platter which had pulled pork ( pretty dry) , 4 spare ribs brisket( a bit dry) and Tri tip( a tad tough) . Side of Mac and baked beans. Both sides were fantastic. Creamy rich Mac, and a fresh and perfectly textured chew on the pasta choice, the beans were NOT overly sweet and had the right amount of meat and beans in it with peppers as well. The Bronto Rib was delicious. Did it fall off the bone? No but soft enough for it to come right off with a butter knife. One thing that had me question this place was the bbq sauces. The cornbread was tasty but too crumbly, the butter helps but it needs work nonetheless. The sweet sauce was overly sweet and the spicy barely had heat. I would recommend they have a Tennessee mustard bbq sauce or have a couple options. They tasted a bit rough due to the heavy vinegar. Was it worth it? Eh, ‍ I'll come back next time for a round 2. read more
