The mini golf course and cart itself were ok. But the arcade was dated. There wasn't much as far as games went. And some of the games that were there didn't work to well. So if your going for the old Coney Island feel in that place that not it. read more

I love this place. They have a playground to amuse the kids between rides on the go karts. The staff seem happy to be there. They have this cool armband deal that lets you ride as much as you want for a fixed price (for 3 hours I think). They also have mini golf. The kids love this place. read more

We really enjoyed hosting our daughters 13th Birthday party at Fun Zone...Ms Shay communicated excellently several of the packages that are offered...After deciding, placing a deposit to hold the date & time, we negotiated a reverse of usual sequence of parties, as ours was in the evening. It was great, our daughter's party guest were able to enjoy 3 hours of -go carts & mini golf, afterwards, we went inside to the party room, had our food, cake, & general merriment. Finishing out the party with the Arcade play. ( arcade game cards were included with the package we bought) They stayed inside the arcade area, hang out in the party room...and parents coming to pick up their kids , were easily spotted & connected, collected their personal items from the party room & left happy. There is a requirement that Drinks must be purchased there... but it is understandable. You could order a $5 pitcher of soda/ tea/ or ice water(no cost) .. Ms Shay was kind enough to House our coolers that had sandwich trays, fruit & veggie platters, and our cake...in their cooler until it was the time we had booked party room. It was fabulous that some of the parents & siblings for our daughter's guest were able to purchase at a lower price the go cart/ mini golf because they were affiliated with our booked party. So it was great to meet / talk with and hand out with parents who wanted to. Fun Zone also offers a package where they provide food & drink, too. If you want show up & it's ALL handled in house. They have a go cart track for a variety of driving abilities... & also the ride along ( driver with passenger go cart experience) being 13, not all invitees felt comfortable driving... I would highly recommend Fun Zone for a variety of celebratory reasons... just make sure you go in prior to your event to pick your package, check the facility out & confirm your details. Ms Shay & coworkers represented Fun Zone with a professionalism that I would be ecstatic if I was an owner/manger. ,They were inspired by the spirit of service, desiring each party to be its best , and communicating clearly what the party expectations were Fun Zone's responsibilities & knowing what we were expecting to bring. Had read the reviews and taken them under consideration more then we did. We had a choice, drive from the pooled area to Hilton head to try a themed mini golf course or save an hour and try Fun Zone. Should have made the drive! Our thought "hey 36 holes for 8$ it's worth a shot"....yeah well here's the kicker, every hole is almost EXACTLY the same. I swear when they designed this place (mini golf) it's like they took a page out of the first min golf course every built in the early 1900's. every hole but 2 was nothing more then a 20 foot put with bricks as borders either left,right or zig zagged. It's not like they didn't have room to be more creative they just didn't use the room they instead filled it with chunk rock. So if you not standing on the green itself your standing in chunk rock(don't take anybody with bad ankles, knees or hips and wear shoes not flip flops. Mini golf years ago at least had some props to hit a ball through, not at fun zone, the props are bricks. Hole after hole after hole of bricks. The kids were bored and done by the sixth hole, grandma took them to the swing set and the rest of the adults played through to the ninth hole just to feel like we kind of got our money's worth. Should have went to HHI or a movie this was a waste of 80$ to say the least. To the fun zone owners...hire a local carpenter for a scad student to build you a few props of sort, make it look like you at least tried. I've been going to "Fun Zone" for as long as I can remember. It's generally always a fun place, but lately I've noticed how poor the service is. Bathrooms are gross. Employees are incredibly rude, and lazy. Counters are usually sticky. Most of the arcade games are a rip off. Go karts were pretty fun, except when we tried to get tickets no one was there...so we waited a few min for somebody to come and no one came. We knocked on the window and eventually somebody came to the window. The lady who came seemed agitated we were there for some reason but quickly gave us our tickets. When I ordered some food they got my drink wrong and dropped one of my chicken nuggets. That's right. They DROPPED one of my chicken nuggets. I was very disappointed. read more

Had a wonderful time with my grown children and their boyfriends. We did the miniature golf and the go karts for the 16 and older. They only had 5 go karts out and we asked if they had 6 since we all wanted to race with each other and the manager came out and got the other one from back and was really nice about it. This place is fun but the service is terrible and all the workers are super rude. They sit around or walk around with terrible attitudes and aren't helpful. We had questions about the golf and the workers just looked at us like we were from a different planet. Finally a woman stepped up and was nice enough to help. Get it together fun zone and maybe tell your staff to smile more. read more

This business needs to look at its employees. The employees we encountered did not care about their own appearance and did not display any enjoyment in their jobs. When going to a place called 5 star family fun I expect smiles from employees, not a single one! Also, we rode the go karts, they only had a bull horn for directions, which is fine but had no flags for directing for crashes or when it was time to return to the pit.
