Solid escape room experience in Savannah! I was visiting with a bachelorette party and we were looking for something to do before dinner. I called them to see if they had last minute availability and luckily they had a room and could also accommodate our group of 9 people. Other rooms in the area were booked and could also only fit up to 6 people, so we appreciated that we could have our whole group in one room. We did the art heist room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pros: availability day-of, great service, unlimited hints from the staff Cons: I'd say the room was on the easier side. We did the Art Heist escape room and had a fantastic time! I went with my two kids (both under 10), and it was the perfect mix of challenge and fun for all of us. The storyline was engaging, the puzzles were well thought out, and the whole experience was very entertaining. The staff member we interacted with was super friendly and gave great hints that kept the game moving without giving too much away. Street parking may be tough to find. Come early. Smaller place than most escape room businesses. The room we did was Zeta Eta Zeta: The Cursed Bridal Veil This room is poorly planned. First off you have no idea where to start your clues. And to figure out one thing leading to another is very difficult. Would have never gotten it if we didn't ask for help. I hate doing that. Puzzles were medium difficulty with hints available. A good variety of puzzles. Set design was not as immersive as "top tier" games. I booked this for my Girl Scout when we were visiting. The girls loved it so much that they were begging to come back the second night. Unfortunately we had other plans for the next night, but we would have loved to. We did Hellevator for some of the group and another part of the group did the Museum mystery. The puzzles were challenging, but solvable. It was satisfying to find the clues and match numbers, even with hints. There was also a good element of excitement since the lights dimmed as the clock counted down! Fun at the Lights Out room even though they kept giving us hints. Alex and I did Lights Out at the Museum with a friend while he was in town. I've never done an escape room, but with two computer engineers and myself I figured we could get out... And we did! With 8:30 to spare. We booked a reservation online. Lights Out was the middle level difficulty. It entails trying to figure out who stole a painting from a museum. We were told after that the ZEZ room is the hardest so I'm glad we went with the mid-level option to start. We never officially used any of our clues, but one of the staff members did keep talking to us and giving hints throughout the two rooms. I like the range of puzzles. The Lights Out rooms are big enough for maybe 4-5 people. I would not recommend a group over that size. Next time: we're going for ZEZ. read more

My husband and I have done two escape rooms here. We did the pirate theme room which was decent. We were able to finish it with about 15 minutes left. We also recently completed the Zeta Eta Zeta? Room. The instructor stated this was their hardest room and I completely agree. There's hardly really any way to get started without asking for a clue. The room itself is lacking in structure. The storyline is not well developed. It's hard to determine what exactly you're supposed to do without consistently asking for clues. The instructor states that no one has ever solve the room without asking for a clue before. I think this lends to the fact that there really is no ability to start the game without asking for a clue. Highly disappointing in this room and would recommend revamping of this room/storyline. I would recommend doing one of their other rooms as this is just a frustration read more

We did the Lights out room which was really cool and unique. With two people, we were able to escape with ten minutes left but it would be a good room for 3-5 people. This room was a little more low budget than other rooms we've done but the puzzles were cool. We love escape rooms and making it a habit to visit in any town we go. This one was fun but super difficult. We were pair with another family but kids were too young so we wasted time trying to explain the kids to be more methodical. We did the Lights Out at the museum" - as the time passes lights were dimmed. To crack it, we needed at least 30 more minutes. Some of the clues made absolutely no sense, others were given in such a way - not even Einstein will solve. After we ran out of time, and room was dark, the lady came and told us what we missed. There was not way we could have solve the next cue to get a key out to open something else that would have had the key to open the room. If you are doing the room for the first time, I don't see how you could solve. Those that posted that had, I bet they have done it before. Overall, we love it even if we failed. We laughed so hard, they unexperience kids had tons of fun. We will do it again even if it is to finish it with some experience, although I can't remember how I solved some of the clues. read more

We tried out the Shanghai Savannah room today. First time doing this company's escape room. The staff was friendly. The room was well done. I very much appreciated that clues were clear and if an object wasn't a clue that was also very clear. We played as a group of two (both adults who have done other escape rooms) and we were able to escape without using all our clues. We will definitely be back to try the harder rooms. Pretty awesome experience. We came here on a Sunday as a spare of the moment decision. (FYI if you're looking to begin at a certain time your best bet is to reserve online) Anyways it was me, my 6 year old daughter and a friend of mines. We were the last group for the evening and we decided to do the easiest one on their books which is the pirate one AKA shanghai savannah. It was a bit frustrating being that we had a 6 year old tagging along that can't really give her input other than touch everything thing that she sees in the room. So I can sadly say we did not make it out in the hour that was allocated to us. But the experience in it self was great. Even though this room was categorizad as the easiest escape room we still stumbled upon challenges we did not expect to face. It definitely is a game that makes you think outside of the box. All in all we had a great time. The ladies that were assisting were super helpful and resourceful during times of extreme struggle. 4 starts because even though it's meant for ages 5 and up I don't really recommend you bringing someone under the age of 8 or 9. My family and I just finished doing the Shanghai Savannah room! We loved it. It was us three an another couple. The room had great clues and the scene of the room was spot on with the theme to allow you to immerse yourself into the story. The room was very neat and laid out. The "do not touch" labels and glued down props help you stay focus on the clues and props that matter and you don't have a tons of things just around for no reason. The employees was very knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel right at home. I definitely will be doing the other rooms they have there. read more

We did two rooms at this location. Our group does rooms frequently so we can be kind of picky. The first room we did was the pirate one. I think Shanghai savannah? That one was really fun. There was a lot to do but it wasn't likely he clues were waaay out there. The other one was the sorority wedding one but none of us liked that one as much. You had to say stuff out loud and it was a little awkward. Also, for the first room we had a younger guy help us and he was great! And then for the sorority room, it was an older woman and she came off quite rude a few times so that could have also factored into why we liked the first room more. I definitely recommend the first (pirate) room though! It's a great thing to do while you're visiting on a rainy day.
