It's a fun course but unfortunately, the greens had been sanded recently. Regardless, they rolled ok and the fairways were in decent shape. It was a very convenient location as we were heading back to Florida after our round. It's very close to I-95.

My buddy and I played as a twosome until we joined up with another twosome at hole 12. The course was in very good shape. The fairways were well groomed and overseeded. The greens were very true and fast. I was told there are some similarities to Irish courses. The carts don't have GPS so it's best to bring a rangefinder or other GPS device. The scorecards also don't show the true layout of the holes. We were advised to club up 2 clubs on hole 15 which is a par three due to the strong ocean winds. This hole backs right up to the ocean. They have a nice pro shop and clubhouse (Fraser's Tavern). The cart girl Lauryn was very friendly and made the rounds quickly.

This track has seaside beachfront borders which provide pleasant views along with native pines and live oaks along the fairways. For those that are interested, the course is 7010 yards from the back tees, ratings of 74.3, a Par 72, and slope is 143. I found this course playable providing you do not penalize yourself with mediocre shots that are meant to penalize you. We planned to play Atlantic Dunes as a tune up prior to playing Harbour Town Golf course which we found quite challenging in comparison. Overall, the course is fun and well maintained.

The golf carts all have GPS which delivers accurate yardage to the pin as well as can track your score. It also limits where you can drive on the course. The beverage cart person came around frequently which was great. Cart path only on all par 3s as well as hole 6 which is a par 4. The staff was very helpful and friendly. While we had to wait for the group ahead of us for most of the round, we still finished in 4.5 hrs. As a Gary Player course, it's not very long, but does have some nice undulations and perfectly placed hazards. The fairways are quite open. I think the only ball I lost was when I hit into the water. Otherwise the course plays very true and would be a great course for someone just learning to play golf.

The most beautiful course I've ever played…read more Diverse wildlife, huge fairways, no cheap tricks, gorgeous design. The 18th hole is such a cool L shaped design and a perfect ending. The price is insane ($285 for a single) and the bugs in the shade will eat you alive. There's decent service, a hot dog stand near the turn, decent amount of trash cans and bathrooms, plenty of water jugs, you will want for nothing. I would recommend for decent players. You will feel very satisfied even hitting 90-100.

The design of the course was not too challenging. I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the greens and the cart paths. There are a couple of wooden bridges that are pieced together so much, they should just put down a rubber mat. For this time of year, the fairways should be a bit more plush. The greens were aerated and sanded which made putting much more challenging. Very nice staff and pro shop. You don't need a gate pass to play. The course is separate from the private community.

The club house is not even located at the end of nine holes, it's a 5 minute drive to get there and 5 minute drive back. We didn't even stop at the turn. We were so delayed at 10, we were able to drive back between 9 & 8 to go back to the bathrooms. When we returned the group in front of us were just finishing up their second shots. Please explain how we were behind pace. Just arrived at 15 and he thanked us for picking up the pace, "I told him we were playing any different", I think he realized he was wrong. BUT, my group will never play here again. PS, if you play here bring bug spray, the mosquitoes are rampant.

I wanted to play Harbour Town bc the pros play a PGA Tournament here. However, the price ($552 b4…read moretaxes), and a mandatory $40 tip for a fore caddie is a real downer. In addition, I rented clubs ($75 plus tax), plus the resort fee ($9 plus tax), and there was a $9 entrance fee to the resort. My all in was over $700! I have played the nicest courses in CA (Pebble & Spyglass), as well as the nicest courses in Hawai'i where the pros play (Kapalua, Hualalai, et al), and I don't recall those courses costing as much as HT. Positives: Ian, our caddie was excellent. He knew the course well, gave good distance info and read putts well. I had a few opps for birdie bc of his accurate distance. On me tho, I only converted one birdie. Negatives: In addition to the sky high price, HT is not that special of a course. The sig holes are nice, but not that nice IMHO; Cart path only for the whole course, so you will get your steps in! I enjoyed my day bc my playing partners were nice and Ian was a great caddie. However, I would not play here again.
