We got Blueberry this time (sparkly ring leader) and last time we got Shadow (mermaid). Both of them are fantastic and i dont think i made a review last time so i'll make a review for both. Blueberry: She's very helpful, very fun, and lovely with the kids! There was no down time with her. Things at a kid's birthday party can be unpredictable and she was very flexible. All of the kids at the party had fun with her and the parents have all positive response. I love how she acknowledged that Shadow (previous host) said hi to my first born and she also gave my 1st born a gift (blueberry plush, so thoughtful!) Shadow: She was very lovely with the kids! Very patient too! We had some guests that are bigger kids and they were being cheeky and she has her ways to manage them very nicely. She made the most of the space we had, and it turned out beautifully. The kids had fun and most importantly my daughter had a great time! I found Johana's web site and decided to reach out to her. We worked out the details and I booked her. A little surprising there was no agreement or any type of deposit. This seems to be the norm in the face paint industry, but I still think it's nice piece of mind to have something in writing, if anything for the protection of the vendor. Johana showed up on this nice Sunday afternoon and got right to work. She was very nice and patient with the kids. Not sure how to keep my cool with 30 little kids yelling at you for painting. But she got through them all in about 2 hours. I'll say this...the quality of her work is amazing. I told her she under charges for what she puts out. Especially with my daughter's face, she added some beads and glitter. I'll try and post a pic here when I get the chance. Even my little one had a little cupcake artwork on her arm, and that was insanely nice. If you need someone, reach out to Johana.

My best friend hired Boswick to perform at her daughter's 3rd birthday party at Dolores Park, and…read morehe was fantastic! First, Boswick is a true professional. It was a very hot day, and all the kids were originally seated facing the sun, before starting his show, he had the parents turn the children around so they wouldn't be staring into the sunlight. That spoke volumes about his experience. Boswick had so many tricks up his sleeve and kept the kids engaged and laughing throughout. The birthday girl (as is perfectly appropriate for her age!) wandered off midway through, but the older kids were totally captivated the entire time. When the balloon-making began, she came right back, a perfect ending to the performance. Even the adults were entertained! Boswick effortlessly switches between engaging 3-year-olds, 7-year-olds, and adults alike with his humor and charm. As a teacher, I really appreciated his ability to manage a crowd and keep everyone entertained. Other nearby parties had a jump house and a traveling petting zoo with a runaway turtle, but Boswick was by far the highlight of the park. Overall, we were impressed. I would recommend Boswick for any kids' event.
