My son loved Korene so much that he asked to have her back again this year. High praise from the little guy.

I had the best experience working with Korene to design a special balloon arrangement for a birthday. It was short notice, but Korene came through with an amazing design and right on time. She was a joy to work with, and I look forward to working together again. Also, her arrangements were amazing and so fun! read more

Her face painting was beautiful and creative, and the balloon twisting had the kids excited and smiling. She was so friendly, patient, and great with the kids. Everyone had a blast -- highly recommend her for any party! Thank you so much Korene for being apart of my daughter's big day! read more

Korene was great! We hired her last minute for my nephews baptism/birthday party and she was able to squeeze us in last minute to make the kiddos balloons! She was very friendly, punctual, and patient with the kids. The balloons were adorable and she made sure every kid got a balloon before she left. Everyone was happy! Thank you Korene! read more

I just had my son's 5th birthday today so I'm still on a high from how much fun the party was and it was in huge part to Korene and Fortune Kookie Fun! Korene joined us for 2 hours and performed face painting and balloon twisting. She is a PRO with these kids' birthday parties. She is SO organized! Amongst the chaos, she never once lost her cool. She has her system DOWN! We had 26 three to five year olds running around with 5 - 10 of them hovering around the balloon/face painting station at any given time perusing the awesome menu of popular face painting styles and balloon characters which made it easy for the kids to choose exactly what they wanted and to move through the waitlist quickly! Most of the kids opted to do the face painting so I didn't get to see all the epic balloon characters that others have written about, however Korene made an INSANE Thomas the train balloon for my son before the party and presented it to him when she arrived. It was truly a piece of art! I hope it last a very long time. :) I received a ton of texts from the parents after the party telling me how fun the party was and how much their kids LOVED the face painting and balloon twisting. I'm so grateful to Korene for adding so much wonderful energy to our party and entertaining all of our guests. Lastly, I want to thank Korene for her responsiveness and flexibility with the last minute location and time change to the weather! read more

Korene is amazing! We hired her for three separate family festival events for the nonprofit I work for which provides services to families of children with special healthcare needs, and Korene was wonderful at each. She was on-time, professional, kind, calm in very busy settings, and provided great balloon twisting, a Lion King-themed balloon show, and bubble magic for the kiddos. We love working with her and the families have had such fun with the positive and inclusive activities she brings. read more

Korene is amazing. I'm 90% sure there is nothing she can't do. I have used Fortune Kookie Fun for entertainment at two children's parties now. Korene's face painting and balloon art are on a whole other level. She is a talented artist. And yesterday she held ninja training for my 5 year old's birthday. It was a hit for the kids participating and the adults to watch. Today at another party all the kids and parents were still talking about how amazing ninja training (as well as the balloon artistry and face painting) was at my son's party yesterday. I would use and recommend Korene and Fortune Kookie Fun again and again for every special event for kids. And if I ever have enough friends for a birthday I would love her for adult casino style entertainment (but I'm not that popular). read more

Korene is very responsive and pleasant to work with. We hired FKF for our 3 yo's birthday party and Korene made a very cool red dinasaur on birthday child's cheek and also did some lovely colorful patterns on her hands.. my daughter doesn't warm up to people easily but felt quite comfortable with Korene.. the balloon twisting was fun too, all the kids loved Korene and we did too!! Her setup is very impressive! Self sufficient and compact! 10/10 would hire Korene again! read more

We were so impressed by Korene at a different birthday party we attended that we booked her for our birthday. My daughter took one of her business cards from that party and used clear packing tape to tape it to her shirt after the event, and wouldn't let us take it off. That was good though because it meant I could find her again. Korene is easy to work with, communicative, and friendly. She reached out to confirm a few days before our event, and arrived at the location of the party before we did. She is great with kids and her face painting and balloon twisting delighted all of the kids (ages 2-7) at our party. She even corralled the kids during the cake cutting to make sure we got a photo with all of the kids there, and, the kids all listened to her! I would definitely book Korene again! read more

We celebrated my son's 3rd birthday at the daycare with Korene and Fortune Kookie Fun! Korene joined us for an hour dressed as a lion and performed the lion king for 12 kids.. Korene was very responsive to my inquiry to provide her services to create twisted balloon creations for my children's birthdays (Sonic & Unicorn). Since we are in the middle of a pandemic and not doing a huge birthday party I still wanted to do something for my children to make them feel special on their birthdays. Korene is so talented and creative, she did a wonderful job and met the vision I had. Thank you for all you do Korene, keep bringing smiles to faces with the wonderful work that you do! read more

We hired Fortunate Kookie for my daughter's birthday party the past weekend and it was a big hit! We had the combo of face painting and balloon twisting for two hours. Korene did a great job with both. Parents complimented on such a detailed job that Korene did with face painting. She didn't rush through the process but really spend time on each kid, making each and everyone of them feel special. We ended the party with bubble play that Korene prepared and all the kids had a blast! My daughter was extremely happy and she felt so special. We hired Fortune Kookie Fun for our daughter's first birthday. Korene was a big hit at the party, and she made sure every kid got a custom balloon design. Her designs were elaborate, often using multiple balloons in different colors. She even arrived with a 3-foot panda to match the theme of the party. She used high quality balloons that even looked great the next day. We were very happy with the service and would definitely use her again. Korene and Magicdale duo came for my child's birthday party, and it was amazing, exceeding all of our expectations. Korene's birthday balloon gift was truly impressive and I already considered the party a huge success. Magicdale's magic show mesmerized the whole group of six-year-olds. They stomped their feet, shouted, gasped in amazement, and laughed. Korene's balloons for each child were beautiful and thoughtful. They were kind individuals who did everything possible to make the event successful. Thank you very much! read more

Thank you Korene (Fortune Kookie) for a fantastic party. Planning was my daughter's 6th birthday was easy, especially on only 2 weeks notice. Korene was flexible and professional, and responded to all my questions and requests promptly. The party was outside at the Alta Plaza Playground in Pacific Heights, and despite it being a surprisingly cold windy day Korene delighted and entertained the kids. She performed a funny magic act that the kids loved and happily made ballon animals, light sabres and flowers. She also did a great job with makeup faces that the 5/6 year old girls loved. I highly recommend Korene. read more

We first saw Korene as Mrs. Claus at the Embarcadero Building Lighting in November. It was POURING rain, a lot of the festivities were cancelled, and Korene was right near the skating rink and was beseiged by kids and parents who were determined to save something from the evening, which meant she was inundated with requests for balloon animals. She handled all this with great grace under pressure. When it came time to hold my son's 8th birthday party, we thought of Korene for the entertainment. We hired her to do a 20 minute magic show for 25+ kids, followed by an hour of balloon twisting (making animals, crowns, etc) and we were delighted with the result. Korene took all the noisy kids in stride and entertained them well. We whole heartedly recommend Korene and her coworker Dale to entertain a group of any size! read more

I had the joy of seeing Korene at a birthday party and thought it would be great to get her for my daughter's bday. The prices are pretty comparable to other artists, based on my other research. She was so patient and loving to all the preschoolers around! The princess balloon she made for my daughter was amazing! She did a great job with the kids and talking with them while working. The teachers and parents raved about her for the rest of the week. I would definitely recommend her above all the others because she was so professional and amazing at what she does! read more

I hired Korene last October, 2020, to entertain at my five year old granddaughter's birthday party. I paid Korene her $100 deposit. Because of Covid, we needed to cancel. Korene told me I had 6 months to rebook. In October of 2020, I attempted to book Korene for my grandson's third birthday. He lives in Santa Rosa and Korene doesn't travel that far. Also, Korene told me six months had passed and after October, my $100 deposit would no longer be valid. I was disappointed because Covid interfered with my original birthday plans for my granddaughter and now I would lose my deposit. So now we are a year later and I wanted to hire Korene to entertain at my granddaughter's sixth birthday party. I was hoping she would honor the $100 she's held onto for one year and I would happily pay her whatever additional fee she charges. I would also have written Korene a wonderful review and referred her to many friends who have grandchildren: I reached out to Korene twice via email and she hasn't even responded with a yes or a no. We have all been affected by Covid and this has been a challenging year. I am disheartened by Korene's failure to get back to me, I'm disheartened that she wouldn't want to work with me and make good on the deposit I gave her in good faith. And I'm disheartened that she not only let me down but this would have been a lovely surprise for my granddaughter after so many months of Covid restrictions. BUYER BEWARE! read more

Korene, and her coworker Dale, recently designed and executed a lifesize "Stevie Wonder" balloon for our company's expo booth. Not only did she deliver a balloon person that stood alone and was true to life (without being offensive), she was also extremely creative in adding a floating keyboard and braided hair etc. At the best, attendees walking by wanted to stop, talk, and take a photo at our booth (great advertising), and at the very least they walked by and smiled commenting on how much they loved it. Our booth was called "best in show" and was featured in the top 10 of the HUNDREDS of booths on the floor: http://blog.eloqua.com/dreamforce-sideshow-the-best-booth-attractions/ Great experience overall! read more
