Dave Carney truly saved our road trip vacation last month. We were hundreds of miles away from…read morehome when our engine light came on. We checked in at our Uniontown hotel and drove over to Carney's. Dave came out and took at least 20 minutes to run a diagnostics on the engine and gave us the peace of mind that it was not a serious issue -- probably a bad tank of gas -- and we could drive it. Dave did not want to charge us for his time and told us to pay it forward. He promised that if the engine light came on again he would work on the car the next day. We did not have any more problems and were able to enjoy Fallingwater the next day. What a great guy!!

OK, so I usually hate getting my car fixed, or maintained, because I never feel like I can trust…read morethe mechanics. But getting my Volkswagon fixed at Sam's was literally the best car repair experience of my life. I just had to write a review because it's SO RARE to find a quality, honest mechanic like Sam! We were due for our 100,000 mile maintenance and needed some preventative service done. We were visiting Uniontown had to leave in a few days -- but Sam was generous in fitting us in during a busy week. He did a lot of research to find the parts we needed, fast (and cheaply) and gave us a solid quote (which was much cheaper than anything we would have found where we live). When we came to pick the car up, Sam was thorough and walked us through everything he did to the car. He showed us the parts he replaced and told us about some additional issues the car had that he simply took care of for us. He had checked our previous maintenance records and left us with some great tips and pointers for how to best take care of our particular type of engine. He told us how one prior mechanic messed something (small) up on the car and told us the cheapest way to fix it once we were back home. The total matched his quote exactly and we were so impressed with the whole experience. He was careful, efficient, polite, professional, totally honest -- and very, VERY reasonably priced! If you ever need a mechanic in the Uniontown area, this is the guy.

I was told by the dealership that I needed a new engine. they quoted me a price of 8.5 K for the repair. I called two other area Ford dealerships and was given quotes of 9.3 K and 10.2 K. I started checking around for an auto repair shop to see if I could get a more reasonable price than the ones I had received from the dealerships. I called Vince's auto repair. and made an appointment to bring my car in to get it checked out. Vince called me the day after I dropped my car off and told me he didn't believe the noise was coming from my engine. He asked for my permission to do some diagnostics on my car to determine the possible cause. Vince found the source of the problem and repaired it for less than 2.5 K. (It wasn't the engine). If you're having problems with your vehicle, I suggest you take it to Vince, you won't regret it. He is knowledgeable and honest. Thank you Vince.

We could not drive all the way home on the donut spare, so we needed a tire shop. After several recommendations to try G & S (including from the local Ford dealership), we called to see if G & S had our tire in stock. They had options, and we talked about which one to buy. When we arrived to get the new tire, they looked at the old one and were able to fix it for us. The fix has worked great ! We were ready to buy, and they "had us over a barrel" but they treated us honestly and fairly, and got us in without an appointment. This is exactly the kind of shop I want near my house, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for any car care needs.
