I was referred to #1 Cochran Hyundai of South Hills by a business associate in November 2010…read more I was looking to purchase a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo SE. Upon arriving, I found that they had only one of these cars on the lot (they had just come out). The salesman told me that they had two more on the way, a white one, and a black one. I give a $500 deposit on the black one, and a week later my car arrived. As someone who used to sell cars, let me tell you that #1 Cochran is an honest dealership. Everything is 100% above board, no surprises, no tricks. In my case. I was purchasing a brand new model, one of the first ones made. In fact, the salesman later confirmed that I owned just the 2nd car of this type in Pittsburgh. Due to the demand, I was told that they could offer me a $500 "courtesy discount" but that was it. However, they offered me a $2,000 trade in allowance on a car that, in all honesty, was worth just $1,000. I am very pleased with the pricing and customer service offered by this dealership, and would be happy to recommend them to friends.

I started the process online, I knew exactly what I wanted..down to year, miles, model. I looked around at several dealerships and #1 Cochran had the best price, biggest selection, and I knew their customer service couldn't be beat. I started the process online and ran my credit application so I didn't have to wait up at the dealership all day long with a toddler. Alan was super attentive to what I wanted, he got my requests down all the way from miles, model, color, and features. When it was time to actually buy the car we were there maybe two hours signing everything with the trade- in and new purchase. Highly recommend! Alan was great with communication, I loved that they text with simple questions and concerns.

Grossly Deceptive Practices…read more Beware of the despicable deceptive practices employed at this business. I called about a newly listed used car and was led to believe by the salesperson Clark that I was first in line. As the car's time of availability changed, he called me to let me know so that I wouldn't miss the opportunity, and so I adjusted my schedule accordingly. I arrived before the agreed upon time, met with Clark, got the carfax and inspection report to read while I waited for the car to be finished at the shop, or so Clark claimed was happening. About 45 minutes later, another person entered the showroom, was shown the car unbeknownst to me (I hadn't even been told it was ready), and was allowed to purchase it. Only after that was concluded, about 1 hr of waiting, did Clark tell me "I am sorry, but someone else has bought it." Clearly I was just brought in just as backup and deceived as to my prospects of getting the car. The entire time, Clark was apologizing for the delay and explaining it as the car being finished when in reality he was waiting for another buyer and stringing me along. Disgusting. Even worse, the manager washed his hands of Clark's actions, indicating that this was in fact a tactic they employ. I strongly advise avoiding this disreputable dealership.

Over the past month I had been on the fence about purchasing a new vehicle. I had narrowed my…read moreoptions down to Toyota, Subaru, or a Mazda. I started reaching out to a few dealers about Subaru Ascents, and Mazda CX-9s. Jay from Rochrich replied to an email at 6:30 in the morning. His communication was flawless, frequent, but not overbearing. He also asked what my preferred method of communication was. Appreciated! Pricing was clear cut as he listed the sticker, MSRP, and what my final price would be. I made two visits, one to test drive, and a second to inevitably purchase my new car. Jon assisted with my purchase too. Jay and Jon were very attentive and thorough both during the test drive and addressing any questions I had. Everyone I encountered at the dealership was friendly and professional. They even provide free oil changes during the lifetime you own the vehicle. Buying a car can be stressful but I enjoyed my experience at Rohrich. I felt they were professional and will be back. Looking forward to driving my CX-9 for a long time.

I own three Mazdas. If I can even get an appointment, they are always saying they can't do my inspection for another 4-5 months (I'm not planning that far ahead for an annual inspection appointment). I have been refused an appointment because they didn't want to do a 60,000 mile service that included a timing belt. Multiple calls and leaving messages and voicemails never get returned. When I did have my last service they signed me up for some CarFax thing that I didn't ask for, and then didn't report the work that they did so I just get notices from CarFax that my car is overdue for an oil change that I had them do. Mazdas are great cars, this area sucks for service on them though and other areas of the country I have had way better experiences. It's a shame.
