Amazing food! Especially the bbq Mac n cheese! Just the right smoke and sauce. Four cheeses on the Mac n cheese.

I was so excited to try this pop up at Amerasia in Covington I even made a reservation a month in…read moreadvance which turned out to be unnecessary because when we arrived and throughout our dining experience the place never really reached full capacity. We were greeted enthusiastically by a server when we entered and immediately ordered Mimosas, she forgot one of them and needed to be reminded that we ordered two. Since we had been looking at the menu on Instagram for a few days we knew what we wanted to order and ended up with the French toast and Korean breakfast. The food came out in an average amount of time and was a huge portion of food! In addition it was all so beautifully presented with lots of color, texture and edible flowers on top. Taste wise the food was just okay. The French toast didn't taste like captain crunch at all and there was so much mango sauce on top that it was slightly overwhelming. I would ask for sauce on the side next time. My boyfriend loved his Korean breakfast and only wished that the kimchi was cut up a little bit smaller so he could mix it in a bit easier with his rice. Brunch didn't wow me but I would like to return for a dinner. The last thing to note is that the chef was walking around the dining room greeting people but he never stopped at our table. So, idk if he only does it to people he knows or what but that was disappointing.

They make very creative courses based on traditional dishes. Their food is not only super…read moredelicious, but also gorgeous to look at. I hopped on the dessert too fast and forgot to take a photo, but that was one of my favorite tonight (taro custard, Thai milk tea flan, etc). I also love to hear the chef explaining all the dishes. That's a treat you don't get everywhere. I'm sure I'll come again.

As soon as I see Taqueria Aguila is popping up at one of my go-to spots, I mark my calendar (yes, I…read morehave an actual paper calendar, very retro.) I love the food, but shout out to the service. Anytime I have a question about a menu item, they excitedly explain. A few times now, based on what I like, I got a suggested combination of plates. The person at the window recently turned me on to their hot chili oil. I thought it would be delicious, of course, but typical to hot oils I've had in the past-nope! It was very spicy, but with a rich nuttiness. Delish. The way they slow cook the meat with love is obvious in the tender, developed flavor. But for me, it's about the sides! I tried the onion, grilled on open flame and seasoned to perfection. I felt like a little rabbit gnawing on goodies straight from the garden. Wild. So good. Definitely give them a follow on Instagram so you can check them out as they travel from kitchen to kitchen across the Lou. (I know adding drinks to y'alls menu might add a wrench into your very well-oiled machine, but if I ever see horchata added to your menu, I will lose my MIND with excitement to try it.)

These tacos have truly blown me away. The tacos are not huge, the portions are just perfect which allow you to eat a couple and feel normal. The chorizo is some of the most fresh chorizo I have encountered in all of Louisville. The way the blue corn hand made tortilla carries this dish just makes each bite better than the last. It's hard to talk about one thing that really did it with this taco, every ingredient just melodically meshes with the next for an experience only tasting can justify. All the ingredients are just fresh and you can tell, the flavor wouldn't be the way it is if these tacos were made with anything lower quality. I recommend anything from this menu. Definitely a gem to have at MW.
