7/29/26 Servers: MEAGAN & WHITNEY…read more Tonight we went to Double Dogs and it was so relaxing, and the the food was really good. We both had the BREAKFAST BURRITO-BACON and it just hit the spot. Our server was fairly new, but she was so excellent. She was so sweet and checked on us so many times. As we were getting up from our chairs, Whitney came by to say "Hi". She told Meghan that we had been her customers several times & that we had been so nice. She would loves us. That meant alot to us. Whitney had been so sweet and still remembered us. The ambiance is sports bar with (unless I miscounted) 33 large TVs, the bar, garage doors that open to the outside patio where 4-legged friends are welcome, friendly and efficient service, and best of all, they support the Kentucky Humane Society. Oh, and that tagline though- "Sit. Stay. Eat." Despite the sports bar ambiance, it is definitely child/family friendly. On both my visits (lunch time) there were many families enjoying their lunch. The menu is expansive with the burgers and hot dogs being the main call, but also includes, wings, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. I opted for the 'breakfast burger' which included the burger, cheese, onions, bacon, and a fried egg. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This stray dog will definitely return, and I may get a microchip that reads "return to Double Dogs if found."

After our first couple bites my friend said she would drive 5hrs LoL It was exactly what we expected, plus more! The owners were so friendly & welcoming. The hot dogs are made in house & smoked. There's a whole process. Their TikTok page shows how they're made & it's pretty awesome. Definitely recommend 100/10. The menu has a lot to choose from & has something for everyone. Oh & they have T-shirts for sale. I bought a pack of 6 Porgie's hotdogs to cook at another time. They were sealed perfectly. They happily suggested how to cook them & how long they'd last in the refrigerator vs. freezer. We were sure to get one of Porgie's shirts to represent bc this place is special. That's how I found out about them! One of the staff came over and explained the menu to us. Super helpful and friendly! My friend and I started off with los jugos naturales. Mango and passion fruit. Delicious! Sometimes drinking something sweet compliments eating something savory. We shared all the food: buñuelos, patacón ( it looked like tostones topped with guacamole and different meats), arepa de carne, and sides of frijoles and rice. The sides were large too! They offer a build you own hot dog based on what they have on the truck. You have to try Matilda mash on which ever hotdog you choose. The Pretezal dog is the best! First hotdog from this truck was during the Somerset Food Stock. The mascot hotdog person for this place was a true delight, so much postive engery and she was working hard to promote the business.
