Menu solid. Wings and BBQ delectable…read more Portion size - more than enough! Service was excellent - friendly. Ambiance - quant. Short on dining area but long on flavor and portion size.

I live near Louie's so decided to check it out…read more The Place: Inside is setup for take-out mostly, two stools only but theres 4 picnic tables outside. Parking is limited and a little inconvenient, right along side a road with moderate traffic. That said, the service was impressively fast and I waited less than 10 minutes for my food. Food: The Hot Chicken Sandwich meal $12.99 - Comes with two sides and served on a bun with pickles and coleslaw. I got the Hot heat level. The chicken was juicy inside, you get two large tenders on a bun. The chicken is nicely breaded and the louis sauce on top was great. Even though the flavors were were on point, the bun was disappointingly cold, just a plain hamburger bun straight from the bag. Potato salad - extremely creamy looking but pretty standard flavorwise. I liked how it was sort of a mix between mashed potatoes and potato salad but the flavor was average. Coleslaw - pretty standard with a part vinegar and mayo base, leaned more toward the vinegar. Not bad The Louie sauce - very unique, like a chipotle ranch thousand island style blend, was a nice sweet and peppery combo. I liked it a lot. Smoked Wings - $1.75 each - decent size, but lots of flavor. Dry rub only, but these were incredibly smoky and sweet, never seen them done that way. The flat i had was a little dry but the drumstick was nice and juicy, I guess its a gamble. Tennesee Wings- breaded, deep fried, then sauced. These were massice, maybe twice the size of the smoked wings. I got Hot heat level again and these were making me sweat. Super juicy inside with a nice crispy outer crust though. WAY better than a spot like Indi's thats for sure. Overall pretty good spot, I'd recommend just skipping the sides and getting both types of wings.

As soon as I see Taqueria Aguila is popping up at one of my go-to spots, I mark my calendar (yes, I…read morehave an actual paper calendar, very retro.) I love the food, but shout out to the service. Anytime I have a question about a menu item, they excitedly explain. A few times now, based on what I like, I got a suggested combination of plates. The person at the window recently turned me on to their hot chili oil. I thought it would be delicious, of course, but typical to hot oils I've had in the past-nope! It was very spicy, but with a rich nuttiness. Delish. The way they slow cook the meat with love is obvious in the tender, developed flavor. But for me, it's about the sides! I tried the onion, grilled on open flame and seasoned to perfection. I felt like a little rabbit gnawing on goodies straight from the garden. Wild. So good. Definitely give them a follow on Instagram so you can check them out as they travel from kitchen to kitchen across the Lou. (I know adding drinks to y'alls menu might add a wrench into your very well-oiled machine, but if I ever see horchata added to your menu, I will lose my MIND with excitement to try it.)

These tacos have truly blown me away. The tacos are not huge, the portions are just perfect which allow you to eat a couple and feel normal. The chorizo is some of the most fresh chorizo I have encountered in all of Louisville. The way the blue corn hand made tortilla carries this dish just makes each bite better than the last. It's hard to talk about one thing that really did it with this taco, every ingredient just melodically meshes with the next for an experience only tasting can justify. All the ingredients are just fresh and you can tell, the flavor wouldn't be the way it is if these tacos were made with anything lower quality. I recommend anything from this menu. Definitely a gem to have at MW.

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. The chef from the hibachi vendor came to check on us adter we were eating to see of we were satisfied. That was kind. Both days they were out of egg rolls. Street parking and a lot off of third street behind the building

It feels like someone tried to make a ghost kitchen into a tourist attraction. Not a good combo. To steal from another review: who is this for? One positive though: I love that they provide sanitary wipes at each table to wipe it down yourself. Some could argue that should be the server's job- and it definitely should be, but it's nice to be able to do it to my standards.

For those with ADHD and won't read past the first sentence...this place is a 9.5/10!!!…read more For those who read more than the first sentence...this is a service counter restaurant with no servers. You order at the window, take a buzzer, get your drinks and find somewhere to sit. We (a party of 4) showed up around 11 on a Sunday morning and the line was already out the door. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything we saw coming out before us looked just as delicious as the last. After the owner greeted us and gave a run down while in line, we settled on the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, bread pudding french toast with a side of bacon, and a chicken and bacon croissant sandwich. (I wanted to order the biscuits and gravy weekend feature but they were already sold out.) The girl at the register was polite but very soft spoken so we had trouble hearing what she said. The coffee was the perfect temperature for drinking immediately without scalding yourself, and the different flavorings and types of milk/cream to choose from was a major plus! There were no complaints about any of our food except the steak was a bit under seasoned. I had the french toast, and, in my opinion, is enough for 2 people. There was a bit too much whipped buttercream for me but I was able to rake off majority, and the fruit that came on top was so fresh! The bacon was thick sliced and 3 of my 4 pieces were cooked perfectly to my liking - not too crispy, not too soft! We all were part of the clean plate club after eating because the food was that good! I wished now we would have taken pics of our food before eating! It's a shame it came up as #16 on my Yelp search because it wasn't even the least bit on my radar for our breakfast spot. But luckily, the tag line, "The second best thing you can do in the morning", caught the attention of one our male guests Definitely will be back when the chance arises!
