We dropped in on Oaks night and even though it was pretty busy we were able to grab two seats at the bar. The only downfall of this was the time of day and the position of the Sun blaring through the garage door windows blasting me in the face however that cannot be helped or avoided, just a heads up for anyone who is super sensitive to the sun and arrives around sunset. I started with a Sunset Spritz and looked over the menu, there are so many great options to choose from and I was really torn on what to get but decided on the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich (you can also get grilled or fried, but the bartender recommended blackened) and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries come with a side of a smoky pineapple chutney of some sort and even though I'm not a huge fan of anything that's really smoky it was absolutely delicious and a great combo. Seriously 10/10 recommend. The sandwich was also fire! I am extremely picky about sea food, especially since I used to live near the cost so it was always fresh and it definitely did not disappoint. I was so full when we left lol My husband got the beef sliders as his entrée with a side of regular fries tossed in roasted garlic pepper. I tried them and they were just OK. The sweet potato fries are definitely where it's at! I am really looking forward to going back and trying out some new items like the Cheeseburger Hand pies, Chicken tenders or one of their boozy milkshakes ... it sounds delicious doesn't it!

Bourbon and Burger's menu is at least 50% identical to Mussel and Burger Bar and has some overlap with Havana as well (both currently or previously owned by Ole Restaurant Group/Martinez/Lorenzo). If you like Mussel and Burger, you'll like this. And pay about $10 more per meal. The burgers are mainly in the $15-$18 range. For JUST a burger. Add an extra $5-$7 for fries and you're looking at a BURGER meal topping out around $25. That's more than you'll pay for a burger at any fine steakhouse. Shakes are $9-$15! $1 extra for ranch! We just spent $120 for 3 people. For BURGERS. I'm not sure who decided on this price point but it doesn't fit. The vibe of the place is very casual. The food itself tasted fine. I don't recommend the zucchini fries. Burgers are too tall - with 2 patties on them. We had to eat them in sections with forks and knives (no thanks). Service was very slow. I don't think our server actually ever checked on us the entire time we had our food. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed the server had taken my soda away. And never brought a new one. I have no idea why. The grass bull outside makes for a fun pic. The restaurant has a great ambiance and offers outdoor seating as well. We won't be back.

Since I live in Germantown, I sometimes default to the many bars and restaurants on Baxter, Barret, Goss, or in Shelby Park. But this was the opening day of the NCAA tournament, and I wanted to try something new. My friend, Austin, who grew up here, mentioned that he wanted to try Kern's Korner, so off we went. We found a table toward the back right away and ordered a pitcher with some pretzels and beer cheese. That amount was perfect over the first 90 minutes we were inside. When it was time to order a meal, I knew I was getting a cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint. For the price, the meal definitely punched above its weight. Despite ordering three pitchers, beer cheese, and two meals, we walked out with a tab under $60. I don't remember the last time that happened. What put this place over the top was the service. It was top notch. There were only two people working in front that we saw between the grill and the bar, and they worked efficiently, while also finding time for conversation and to fill up drinks. I highly recommend stopping in...but don't forget to bring cash!

I ordered the chili, and the options were noodles, cheese, and onions. I said, "Yes." The burger was well done. I saw the meat beforehand, and it was a freshly rolled ball of ground round. I would have preferred medium, but no one asked. The prices are good, and the drinks are cold. Lunch does a good business, and on Fridays, the lunch crowd seems to morph into the after-work crowd.

Imagine a comfy local dive serving artisan cocktails and top-notch food and that's 21st in…read moreGermantown to a "T." My dinner buddy and I wandered in on a late Sunday afternoon and, based on the online menu, weren't at all sure we were in the right place. I was expecting a restaurant with a bar and was standing, somewhat befuddled in a bar that I wasn't even sure was open. Finally, I sheepishly asked the bartender if they were open and serving food, to which he responded by handing us two menus with a resounding "Yes!" And we were off and running! The menu was definitely abbreviated compared to what we viewed online, but it did not disappoint. My friend had the ribs, fries, and smoked Gouda mac 'n' cheese while I enjoyed a BLT and onion rings. The ribs, dry rubbed and smoked to perfection, were absolutely on point while my sandwich, a simple standard, was anything but plain - stacked high with bacon, fresh tomatoes, and wonderfully thick-sliced bread. But the star of the show was by far the mac 'n' cheese. I love smoked Gouda but nearly every time I've tried it in mac 'n' cheese, the delicate flavor is lost and the result has been nothing but a sad, sad bowl of beige, sticky noodles. Offering a generous portion, they definitely upped the game here by throwing in a bit of spice, the heat from which really accentuated the smoke and flavor of the cheese and my friend and I were nearly fighting over the last bites. At the end, my sandwich, onion rings, and three ciders put me just over $20 and my friend's bill (which included a coke instead) was around the same, leaving us both food happy and overwhelmingly money happy. So, overall, be prepared for a changing but solid-quality menu. The atmosphere is very casual, so it might not be the prime choice for an important occasion. But even if the ambience is a little less swank, you can still very much enjoy quality food and bev at very reasonable prices. And bonus: they offer off-street parking and various events throughout the week! We will be returning very soon! Enjoy!

I had to double check that we were in the correct place when presented with the menu with only 3 items on it (burger, wings or tenders). We forged ahead as we had the place to ourselves and it was peaceful. Unfortunately the food we got was run of the mill frozen Sysco food that would barely be passable at a high school stadium, and all at gourmet food prices. The menu may have been limited because of Louder Than Life, but that wasn't stated anywhere, nor does it alter the quality. We also got charged for alcohol we didn't order. Despite that, the saving grace was our server Ashley, who was delightful.

When I saw they were hosting a Love Island season premiere party, I knew it was the perfect time to finally check it out. Parking was easy - we found street parking right across the street, and there's also a reasonably price parking lot directly across from the entrance for after hours parking. What surprised me the most was the size of this place. It's HUGE! There are so many outdoor seating areas that it never felt crowded, even during a special event. Inside, there were two rooms with large TVs showing Love Island, plus themed decorations and drink specials that made the watch party that much more special. There were 8 of us and it was not difficult to find a table of us all on a Tuesday night. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. I was told the quesadillas were good too! (I had dinner beforehand but my friends ordered some food). The restroom I used was small but clean. Overall, Hauck's Corner lived up to the hype and then some. Great patio spaces, fun events, good food, and excellent service. I can't wait to go back!
