Since Mom's nails grow quickly, Helen trims them, and though it's not her favorite part, Helen's skill and gentle touch put her at ease. Mom usually picks the same nail color, and Helen always has it ready. The appointments are never rushed, creating a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Helen is warm and attentive, and the salon is spotless, with chairs wiped down and bowls thoroughly cleaned. The spa mani-pedi is about $65 plus tip, and although we've tried other great local salons, this one is our favorite. Mom's nails always look beautiful and perfectly done. This was another flawed experience as I treated my mom and myself to basic pedicures-right away they tried to recommend gel polish and we declined then the lady doing my mom's pedicure told my tech to add an upcharge of $5 for gel removal -yet nowhere on the price sheet does it say that is an added charge-nor any signs in the salon to advertise this and I'm pretty sure most people do gel today. It is very typical for nail salons here to tell you after the fact that things are extra so I was already annoyed starting off with it but trying to give it a chance and not ruin the experience for my mom. I sat right next to my mom who had regular polish on arrival and the time and process was the exact same and when I questioned the charge the women just went back and forth in their language and then asked if I still wanted it! Well you kind of put me in a pickle at this point as you already started my mom's pedicure and then started soaking my feet until my tech was ready so I just figured let's see how the rest of the service goes. They literally used the same little sander/drummel for both of our pedicures to remove the polish yet I was still charged the added $5 at the end. The tech did a good job on the pedicure overall but nothing that would have me drive out of my way again for it. There is a common theme here that every salon tries to sell you extra and I get that but you as a nail salon will not get repeat customers when you deceive them just to try and pad the bill. I do not recommend this salon despite the positive reviews. I would have been pleased had they done something extra for the charge -maybe an extra minute of massage since that was lackluster .

I had put my soda pop on the drink carrier spot in the chair and he accidentally lifted the carrier up and dumped my drink all over. No worries, they had a mop. A lady did my pedicure and did a nice job. They don't serve wine with a pedicure here, which surprised me. Supposedly it's against the law here in Florida. I had no idea since I'm from North Carolina just visiting a friend. My normal salon in North Carolina has served me 3 glasses by the time I leave. Haha. Oh well. I went back today to get a nail gel dip. They were the worst nails I have ever seen. I went next-door to tradition for breakfast and showed the girls that work there and they agreed they said it was absolutely horrible. The nails were thick. There was polish. All on the side securities were not done and then he had the audacity to put cream in my hands at the end and expect me to rub it together. What happened to them giving you a massage on your hands also. I asked for a refund and they would not give it so I had to trust my hands in one of the women that work there, and she did improve them, but they still are not totally up to par. I will never go there again, nor would I recommend anyone else going there. When you're spending that much money to have your nails and your toes done, it should be worth it not a total nightmare.
