Marquis asked around and couldn't find any from the bartenders, but later on to my surprise he was able to find a few and found me to give them to me! This is over and above service and he deserves recognition for his kindness leaving a great impression. They had a food truck outside that served delicious food and there was plenty of space in a DJ. I have to say I'd be happy to go here again. There was parking right across the street. And unlike the SF Mortified event I attended last month where most seats were reserved, this one seemed to offer ample seating first come first served, as well as a lovely outdoor courtyard with even more seating. Sound and lighting were ideal. The guest band, Hot and Dangerous, were hilarious and used lots of unconventional instruments along with catchy and comical lyrics, in between journal readings. They did amazing on stage, even though I missed the house band I saw at the previous show. There were bars on both levels, and just a small line at the downstairs bar before the event started. An hour in, there was no line or waiting at all. I tried one of their cocktail specials, the new parish punch, and absolutely loved it, strong and fruity with just a hint of spice, seems like they make good drinks here. Also, we arrived when the doors opened, an hour before showtime, and there was plenty of parking available just a block away.

The bartenders are decently friendly and move pretty efficiently between simple pints to fancier cocktails. The bathroom situation could be better though. Overall still a decent night out to be had.
