I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Charles. He's fantastic! He will sit with you and discuss…read moreany questions or issues you have, and he doesn't try to rush you through a visit, like most doctors I've seen. He helped me diagnose my food allergies and has been a huge help with any question I've brought him, and he actually listens and remembers his patients. Dr. Charles is also exceptional in that he won't just jump to prescription medicines to fix symptoms; he wants to find the root problem and treat that, instead of symptoms. He will also recommend herbal remedies and dietary changes when he thinks that will work better than prescription drugs, which is rare for western doctors. The whole staff is very kind, and as someone else mentioned, there is never a long wait. My husband and I both recommend Dr. Charles and his nurse practitioner very highly.

I had a very bad experience with this Doctor, after been scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Joel…read moreonce I'm at the office on the day of my appointment I'm told that I need a Doctors referral, as where on my insurance state's NO REFERRAL REQUIRED. They do not take any new patients with out one, I wasn't told that the day I personally made the appointment at his office. Besides that, his office do not follow the COVID-19 guidelines. Too many patients inside on a small waiting section without proper ventilation, too hot that I had to takeoff my overcoat. Patients not wearing a mask and seating too close to each other. I left and happy that that I did, thinking if this is the outside his office I'm wondering how are his inpatients rooms?? I wrote him a personal letter in which I never received a reply. There's plenty of other doctors that are more professional and do follow guidelines especially during Covid-19.

As far as people calling him a "quack" on here... farthest from it. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field. He will suggest trying homeopathic remedies, but I welcomed that after my experience. I have never ever been one for acupuncture, pressure points, tapping etc. But after going to MULTIPLE specialists, having test after test after test and drug after drug to try and diagnose my issue, Dr. Truong suggested I try acupuncture with him. What did I have to lose, I don't buy into it, but literally nothing was giving me relief from other specialists or medication. 2 days post-first session, I felt the first (albeit marginal) genuine relief from terrible discomfort in over a year. Great doctor. The one downside: reviews are correct, they never answer the phone. Like ever. Or texts. Thankfully I live down the block, and I'll overlook that to continue seeing him.
