Tonkatsu Ramen

30-50% off select rolls on mondays and tuesdays is a STEAL! Everything is soo fresh - we love the sushi here. Also tried the lobster pizza this time and it was amazing. They had a ramen on special too which made my boyfriend extremely happy Always a clean restaurant, food is always made quickly. This is one of our go to spots.

Crab Rangoon

Have eaten at Fujiyama twice. Enjoyed the food both times. Really liked the Crab Ragoons and the sushi was very good. Hibachi was pretty average and the service seemed a bit unorganized each time we visited. One time they missed one of our rolls and during our next visit we had a tough time finding our waitress to get refills of beverages and napkins. Overall I liked the food and the lapses in service were minor. Would recommend.

Spider roll

I've been here several times and this was honestly the first time I didn't like what I got. As always, my spicy crab roll was delicious. However, this time I tried their spider roll and it was horrible. The crab tastes old, looked off as well. They saturated it with so much of their special sauce it made it inedible. It was to the point where I ate one piece and had to spit it out. It's a shame because I like spider rolls from other sushi places, but I couldn't stomach this one.

Went on a Sunday for a lunch with my boy. Nice place. Got some miso soup, pineapple juice, philly roll, crazy jaguar roll and a yellowtail roll. All very tasty, service was awesome very friendly. Very much enjoyed all around will definitely be back

This was the new restaurant of the week and I was wanting some raw fish. The place is nice and I don't know if it's a modern theme decor with all the dark colors of black, dark grey and dark woods. They have a nice little bar next to the sushi kitchen. Service started good with quick seating, water and the menus. But as the meal progressed my server parked me on ignore and never came back until I waved her down for the check. I have a hand injury from a couple years ago so using chop sticks is next to impossible because the main finger doesn't work correctly so I needed a fork and after 5 minutes with my food sitting on the table I just got up and grabbed one myself. I would have the bbq calamari, spicy crab meat roll and the dynamite roll with yellow fin tuna. The presentation of the bbq calamari was spectacular because it was sliced and left whole whole with a sweet soy sauce thick glaze, how it's bbq I don't know. The rolls were average but the crab meat was the better one. The lack of attention by my server was a shame and they weren't very busy but she still got a 35% tip which was very generous for my experience.

(D)Hibachi Filet Mignon(9oz) and the hibachi shrimp. Also the Green Katana Cocktail.

Amazing experience! The crab rangoons were amazing and some of the best I've ever tried! We ordered the steak hibachi and shrimp hibachi and everything was great, wasn't the biggest fan of the rice but still everything was great and would go back! Also ordered the green katana cocktail and it was one of the best crafted cocktails I've had, id recommend trying one of their cocktails for sure!

Used to love this place but haven't had a chance to go since covid. I was a little disappointed. Having had been pretty much favorite sushi place in town, I brought a friend, hoping to show off great sushi in the greater Milwaukee area. Unfortunately she was under wowed, as was I. Hibachi steak - the lunch special hibachi was good and with good portions. But for a hibachi, I was hoping for a little less sweet - it felt a bit more like teriyaki than hibachi. Combination box - teriyaki shrimp was ok. 7 shrimp pieces atop a bed of what looked like canned or frozen vegetable medley. Gyoza prices looked more steamed than pan fried; they really need to be browned more. Spicy California rolls were great! I miss their old bento box, though, with tempura shrimp and better rolls. Soup - what used to be a miso soup, traditional and good, turned into an unidentifiable clear soup with green onions and mushroom. house salad - what I remember used to be delicious with hints of ginger became a very typical janapese house salad. Sooo... a bit disppointed.

The food and drinks were really good! The atmosphere was cool. The service was fast and friendly. Would go back.

Steak Teriyaki
Kim H.

Unfortunately the food was extremely bland. The steak and salmon had no seasoning it was just cooked in oil with a bland teriyaki sauce on top. The vegetables reminded us of just a steamed bag of veggies served under. Maybe we just had a bad experience but the manager was very insistent that people love the teriyaki and was shocked we didn't. It was a bit aggressive so we do not plan to return.

Tonight we celibate our daughter's 14th birthday, a ritual we have been doing for the past 10 years since moving to Brookfield. We have tried the other two sushi restaurants in the area, but this is by far the absolute best. Can't say anything but "we love it"

Danica V.

Fujiyama is a great go-to sushi spot that my friends and I particularly enjoy. The pricing isn't bad at all, and the sushi is huge! I particularly like their sashimi dinners as well! Also on birthdays they turn on the cute disco lights and bring out icecream!

Patrick R.

Didn't eat in but decided to order online and pick up my food. This Brookfield location has an easy way to order online using my iPhone. After placing the order I received 2 emails and a text message that the order was received, including an estimate time the order would be ready. I waited for another text or email to notify that my order was ready, which I didn't get, so a few minutes after the estimate time the order was ready I walked in and picked up my order. The spicy tuna included a salad and medium miso soup. Both soup and salad were good, not any different than at other sushi restaurants. The sushi has a large amount of wasabi and ginger. The sushi is alright, not bad, but not great. By ordering online I was charged and extra $0.99. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. It takes about 30 minutes for an order to be ready.

We weren't really happy with the sushi that we ordered (take out). Not a lot of flavor so it wasn't all that impressive.

I didn't get a good look at the interior because I was just picking up the food but there was plenty of parking and the individual I interacted with briefly was friendly and my order was accurate. I started with the gyoza. They were decent/average. I wasn't super blown away but they also weren't bad. I also ordered the Red Tonkatsu. It was kinda spicy which I wasn't mad about. The pork chasu had good flavor and texture. The noodles were a little thicker than I'm used to. The broth was heavy and rich. I've eaten a lot of ramen in KC and had several Ramen pop ups from Tokyo so I'm a little biased. This was definitely solid ramen but it wasn't the best I've ever had either. The price point is fairly cheap compared to KC prices so overall I was happy with my meal. I probably wouldn't seek it out if I'm back in the area, but if you live here, then definitely check it out because it was good and was a good value for the price.

The restaurant itself is small, bright, clean, and easy to park at, and the staff were all very friendly. Service was also fast for a Saturday lunch. We started with the chicken karaage, which honestly tasted more like regular fried chicken than the super juicy, flavorful Japanese karaage style we usually look for. Not bad, just not something we'd specifically order again. The ramen, though, was solid. We tried both the Tonkotsu and the Bonito Yuzu ramen, and both had rich, comforting broth and really impressive pork chashu. The pork was incredibly soft and flavorful -- definitely tasted like it had been slow-cooked for hours. Between the two, I personally preferred the Bonito Yuzu because the citrusy yuzu flavor made the broth lighter, brighter, and more unique compared to the heavier Tonkotsu. Overall, a dependable local ramen place with friendly service and satisfying bowls when the ramen craving hits.

The sushi is available as sashimi style, maki roll, or there is a giant menu of different rolls and sauces to choose from. My wife loves the Sunshine Roll (tempura Lobster), and my daughter loves the plain tuna roll. I dig the Angry Spider Roll or a Volcano Roll. Crispy oysters are hearty, with a plum dipping sauce. I honestly haven't had anything I wouldn't try again! The sushi appetizer menu itself has a collection of unique presentations that have all been amazing! Before she braved the sushi my daughter often ordered off the menu, her choices ranging from chicken tempura to the Sesame Chicken or Lo mein, and always tasty with large portions. I was happy to finish later what she could not, lol. Service is good, sometimes the weekend nights get a little hectic but they make mean drinks! Get the Zombie rum mixer, it'll get ya there. My daughter always enjoys the Japanese soda they offer, nice little treat. Saki of course and Sapporo beer, there's not much you could ask for they don't have! Great place. To start off, I ordered plum wine, which of course was delicious. For our appetizer we ordered the pan fried gyoza. It was so light and airy absolutely delicious. Now for the main course, I went with the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I have to say this is the best pineapple fried rice I have had from any Thai restaurant. The curry powder is strong here, which is my favorite. It came with a side of Thai chili sauce which was definitely a unique surprise, but I absolutely loved it. It complimented the dish very well. My boyfriend went with the pad Thai. It was also absolutely delicious. He ate the whole thing. Now I will say I didn't finish my dish and took the rest home however it seems the waiter took offense and asked me if there was something wrong with the fried rice! I was definitely shocked and I said no it was absolutely delicious, but I just can't finish it. It was definitely a awkward moment to be asked that especially in front of other people in the restaurant. I certainly was not complaining about anything. I was thoroughly enjoying my meal. So yes, I was a little disappointed by that interaction and hoping if other people don't finish their meals that they're going to be questioned. If I didn't like my meal, I wouldn't be asking for her to go box that's for sure. I'm not knocking any stars for that of course.... I had a great time. We enjoyed our food and drinks. The waiter was working very hard. It started getting really busy and he was apologizing for the delay because it did take a while for our food to come out.
