Happy Family and general Gaos lunch special (on fork and in background)

Great food with large portions. We tried the House Rice, General Gaos, the crab rangoons, and pork fired rice. All have been consistently great. They also had our food out in probably 10 minutes. Will be returning again soon!

Tentative staff, food delivered fast. Pad Thai was good, Udon noodle dish was under par. Great for big groups. Sushi was good.

The food was great, but the buffet is very limited.. I would eat there again when in the area.

The sushi is good. The pad thai is ... meh. The service is eager, and the drinks are fair. They do large groups and functions well, though.

It's the perfect stop about two hours into our three-hour drive from Massachusetts to our mountain home. The Korean Beef is outstanding (we ordered it spicy and highly recommend it). The flavors are bold and so satisfying. The waitstaff is incredibly sweet and accommodating, which makes the experience even better. Don't let the simple appearance fool you....this place delivers seriously delicious food. We'll absolutely keep stopping every time we're passing through.

What we got: * Pork dumplings (3/5): The menu advertised these as large but they were actually pretty small. You do get eight of them though. The dipping sauce was a bit disappointing tasted like bottle sweet and sour sauce but the dumplings themselves had good flavor. * Pad kra pow with ground pork (4/5): My first bite was a letdown. Once I added some prik nam pla it fixed the dish and kicked the flavor up a lot. I would definitely come back to try the lunch specials they serve Tuesday through Friday. Bathroom Review: Single stall setup. Clean enough. They stock real paper towels not those weak air dryers.

Apparently out of food that other people I witnessed already had ordered... they drove there just to find out they were out... saw one employee VAPING INSIDE of the establishment which was already enough for me to question a lot... very uncomfortable environment waiting to pick up food.. will review food if and when we receive it. Ordered our food Over an hour ago at about 4:10 , I understand NYE is usually busy, but no one's even here waiting for their food after previous guy cancelled order due to the hat they ordered being "out" . People have come in waves for their food who seemed just as much frustrated and surprised at the price for the total. It's now been an hour and a half - we were told to pick up at 5pm **update** Food was fairly good / decent, will bring up stars to reflect

As soon as we walked in, this super friendly guy greeted us and took our order--really welcoming vibe right from the start. I got the "O" dinner plate with Gao's chicken, and wow, the chicken was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside, juicy inside, just how it should be. The fried rice was good too--not dry at all, and the pork in it had great flavor and texture. I also had crab rangoons that came with it, and they were spot-on: crunchy, creamy, everything you want in a rangoon. The environment was clean, with decent lighting. I will very much be coming back here. The food was worth the 15 minute wait and I'd highly recommend coming to sit down and eating here verse doing take out if you have the time!

Just up the road in Campton, we discovered Covered Bridge Farm Table--and what an amazing place. The food is incredibly fresh and truly farm-to-table. The staff was super friendly, and our waitress was fantastic. We both ordered the clam chowder, which is gluten free and absolutely delicious--exactly what we needed to warm up. We also ordered the Cowboy Chips, and fair warning: they disappear fast. They were amazing, with the smoked Gouda being the perfect finishing touch. Definitely not your average nachos. As an added bonus, the restaurant overlooks a covered bridge and a river, making for a wonderful view while enjoying our afternoon snack. The menu overall looks fantastic, and we'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

There was live music in the bar but we wanted to sit for dinner so we sat in the dining room. The water was really great. Brought water to us as soon as we sat down and took our drink order. They had an okay selection of beers on draft but nothing that u really loved. Espresso martini that one of us got was good, not great but good. The ahi tuna bowl was amazing. Our son had it and said that everything was great. My wife had the Cape Cod Rueben, which is her favorite go to and said it was phenomenal. Our daughter got the chicken fingers and fries and said the fries were her favorite. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the breast seemed a bit cookie cutter and not really fresh. The apples in my sandwich were more like a jar jam and wasn't very good. The brioche bun was okay but overall the sandwich was a disappointment. I will say the basket of fries was the highlight for my meal. I ordered the key lime pie to go and it wasn't very good. The menu said it was world famous and won competitions but in my travels, this was about a 3 out of 10 of all the key lime pies I have had. Overall, our visit was good and they deserve 5 stars for service. If we ever go back, I will try something different. I'd recommend giving it a try.

First-time customer here -- and I'm so glad I found this place!…read more I placed a sizable takeout order on New Year's Eve day, arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and everything was already packed and ready to go. The staff at the front desk were kind, welcoming, and incredibly organized. They handed me perfectly packed, piping-hot food, offered me chopsticks, and I was on my way in minutes. Somehow, the food even stayed warm for hours -- the first servings didn't need reheating at all! The quality was outstanding. Everything we ordered was easily the best Chinese food we've had in the region. Even though it's about a half-hour drive from home, it will be well worth the trip, and we'll definitely be repeat customers. I also want to highlight how vegetarian- and vegan-friendly the menu is. There are lots of tofu options, and when I requested vegetarian sauce for the mixed vegetable dinner, they thoughtfully accommodated it. I really appreciated that attention to detail. The vegetarian egg rolls were a rare treat, and the crab rangoon was reportedly fresh and house-made. I'm looking forward to dining in sometime -- the restaurant is spacious yet cozy, with soft lighting and a relaxed feel. Based on my experience, the customer care here is genuinely thoughtful, and the food is fantastic. I'll be sure to upload photos on a future visit! Highly recommended.
