A shellfish food allergy was made known to the staff numerous times by numerous individuals. When the food was brought out we tried to confirm that there was no shrimp and the server said no shrimp, but that wasn't the case. The shrimp was mixed with the chicken and we really didn't see the difference between the two. The individual that has the allergy mistakenly ate the shrimp and started to go into anaphylactic shock and went to the hospital to be treated. The management denied that we had said anything about the allergy. They did however give a discount for the total bill. After the individual was released from the hospital he went back to talk to the management. He was met with them continuing to deny that they did anything wrong. If you have a food allergy of any kind I would avoid this establishment. read more

Amazing food! Not typical Chinese food that makes you feel disgusting afterward and then hungry again soon after. This has Chinese, Thai, and Japanese so it's more of an Asian fusion place. It's a little pricier than regular Chinese food, but worth it. Everything I've had here is good and being from MA near Boston where there are many good restaurants available all the time, this is a great find up near my parents' place in Campton. I recommend the following: house rice, udon noodles, pad Thai, crab rangoon, chicken wings (not a fan of salt and pepper ones but I do like spicy version of regular), peking ravioli, spring rolls, and beef teriyaki. I'm sure everything else is great but these are my go to faves for any Asian food I order out. I've always had respectful and kind people take my order here whether it's in the restaurant or on the phone. We've passed by so many times and finally did takeout on our way home. Never again. Egg rolls were "meh", beef teriyaki was "meh", the shrimp In the shrimp pad Thai were minuscule and there wasn't any sauce or flavor on the noodles (and I requested spicy). The Kung Pao Chicken had about three peanuts in the entire dish and again... it took a lot of soy sauce to give it flavor - lame. read more

Far more tasty than anything in the area, and the mai tais are FANTASTIC, but don't ask for their recipe, they keep that a secret! I want to point out that the Chinese food and sushi here is in my top 2 favorite Asian restaurants. I rarely ever have any complaints about the food. The occasional comment is normal which I simply won't take any stars away for that. My issues lie between the service and the pricing. The service isn't necessarily bad, just uncomfortable. They aren't mean or snappy, but they aren't bubbly or talkative. They ask you questions you need to answer about your order, drinks and if you are done eating and that's that. Visiting Fugaky is in my opinion a "night out" treat because unless you are eating by yourself, or grabbing a quick appetizer, you easily will spend at least 100$. The portions are great, don't get me wrong. The pricing conversation can be controversial because of the portions, it really just depends on your opinion at the end of your visit. I essentially don't have any comments on the atmosphere. The restaurant looks like it can seat many people, but I don't think I personally have ever seen it packed inside. The atmosphere is comfortable, nothing fancy, not lame, kind of just mediocre. Nothing to bother looking at or be bothered by type of deal. read more

We have eaten at this restaurant before and would typically give it four stars. We ordered takeout for six people and don't remember ever having such awful Chinese food. The beef teriyaki was so over cooked and dry - like chewing on a piece of leather, flavorless egg rolls, the rice could have been minute rice and everything else was just awful. Tried this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. In three short words, "IT WAS AWFUL!" The hot and sour soup was like dish water, tasteless and didn't have any hot at all, crab rangoon was as the soup, tasteless and hardly any filling, all wonton. As for the main meal, house fried rice was dry and tasteless, not much for ingredients, tasted like white minute rice and a few "things" thrown in. The sesame chicken was dry and tough as shoe leather. The only thing good was the one mai tai, and that too sucked, weak and tasteless. And to make this experience truly awful, a couple entered the bar to eat with their little ankle biter dog. Obviously they were frequent flyers to the restaurant, actually wanted to call the local health department, wasn't sure if it was a pet or menu item. read more

I just want to say want an awesome job everyone did at Fugaky New Years Eve! They were so organized and they kept the line moving! I ordered my meal around noon (it took quite awhile to get through because they were so busy), for pickup at 4:45. I was nervous they would prepare it early because of the rush, but they did not. You gave them the last 4 of your phone number, they gave you a number, I waited maybe 5 minutes and there was my hot, delicious dinner. We got the Bobo platter, fried rice & fried wontons. However, this is the best Chinese food I have found in the Plymouth/Holderness/Campton/Thornton area. I encountered a terrible customer experience picking up take-out yesterday, so will never return again. I requested picking up our order at 7pm, showed up on time, paid, and noted that my bag was waiting marked 6:30pm. I raised my concern that food may be not be warm due to sitting out too long, so the manager was brought over. Here's where things went off the rails. The manager ripped opened my bag and told me to check whether items were still warm, and I explained I wasn't going to open every container but was simply concerned that they would require reheating when I got home. The manager then took away my bag and asked me for my credit card so he could refund my meal! I had five people at home awaiting dinner, so asked him to please return my bag and I will just not return to Fugaki in the future. The manager then began yelling at me to give him my credit card. I raised my voice enough so that patrons now became aware of the altercation "You've let my take out sit for 30 minutes, and now want to take away our dinner because I raised concern?". He finally handed me back my bag, and I responded I will not be back. The receptionists then yelled "Do not come back! We don't want you.". The scallion pancakes were cold and inedible because they were at the top of the bag the manager opened. Unbelievable... read more

We will no longer frequent this restaurant (prior semi-regular's) due to the rude bartender tonight (Kelsey?-shorter woman w/ a long black ponytail.) TWICE to had to wait until she was done chatting w/ friends to get service. We over-looked that since we had plenty of time tonight. Then: when she asked us how our food was I quietly replied: "It's delicious but you may want to know that this one dish is barely warm." She replied 'thank u for telling me", then disappeared for a full 5 minutes from the bar! Upon her return she ignored us, then printed our bill & handed it to us as we ate the last bite! We still tipped her 15% (we typically tip 25%)....THEN: as we exited we actually overheard her telling other patrons "I can't believe they complained that their food was barely warm". Seriously?!!! Sorry we tipped at all, & we will NEVER return, & tell others of this bad experience for years to come. Perhaps Kelsey should've learned from my shirt which read 'bee kind' (it's a bee-keeper shirt). I am sorry, but this had to have been my worst experience at a Japanese restaurant ever, maybe my worst experience at a restaurant ever. This may sound overly dramatic, but seriously everything that could've gone wrong did. First, the beer I ordered came to the table unopened and with a glass that had lipstick on it. Second, I ordered a sushi sashimi combination meal which reported to have three rolls included with it. The meal that I received came with two rolls. When I questioned the waiter about this they reported to me that this meal only included two rolls. I checked their menu and pointed out to the waiter that in fact their menu said the meal included three rolls. The waiter's response was that the menu was written poorly and inaccurately and that there was nothing he could do about it. I let the waiter know that I would like him to let management know that I was not pleased (I learned later that he did not bother). When our sushi sashimi platter arrived several pieces of sashimi and sushi were cooked. This was not the eel or shrimp which are always cooked. I believe the fish that was cooked was a type of tuna, but I can't be positive. When I asked the waiter what type of fish it was and why was it cooked. The waiter informed me that sashimi is always served raw and that I must be mistaken that the fish was not cooked. I showed him the piece more closely and he said he would ask the chef. When he returned he came back with a rather poor explanation that the fish indeed was cooked and that is how it's always served. When I informed the waiter at the end of the evening about how disappointed I was in our meal and service and how disappointed I was that the manager never came to my table to address our concerns, this is when I learned that the waiter either never told the manager that I was concerned about my service or the manager didn't care. In the end I believe the manager was aware of my dissatisfaction and truly didn't care. I will most certainly never eat at this restaurant again, and I highly recommend if you're reading this that you do not as well. read more

This was disappointing because we really wanted sushi and there was no indication until we arrived or reason to expect it being closed. - Hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour, literally had no flavor. They did not remove it from the bill - Wonton soup was OK - Crab Rangoons had great wrappers, filling tasted like cream cheese straight out of the package - Chicken wings were as expected - Salt and pepper wings turned out to be their take on spicy wings, and were actually pretty good, despite my son not meaning to order spicy wings - Pad Thai was bland and not authentic at all. Snotty texture and chicken was too gummy Service was meh. Water sat empty for awhile. Staff seemed disinterested. Probably wouldn't return. For Japanese, I'd drive to Yama or Koto in West Lebanon if I really wanted Japanese food. For Chinese there are plenty of fine other options within a reasonable drive. For Thai I'd go to Thai9 in Lincoln. Skip this place. read more

I'd heard about Fugaky from co-workers and we finally made our way for a dinner over Memorial Day Weekend. Though busy, we were greeted and seated quickly. It took a few minutes to be greeted by our server, but after that initial delay, service was timely and attentive. We're new to the NE, so for us, a restaurant that is truly Asian, offering all kinds of food is strange. For this meal we opted to have a Japanese food meal. Unfortunately they were out of Miso soup (odd) so we had egg drop which was flavorful but was thicker than I would expect. We ordered Vegetable Tempura and a selection of sushi. The Vegetable Tempura arrived quickly and was, generous and different. The tempura batter was thicker than usual and the cuts of vegetables were smaller than usual. It was a large plate served with three sauces, 1 a sweet and sour (tasted of apple cider vinegar), Chinese hot mustard, and a small dish of typical dipping sauce. The sushi took a bit of time to arrive but was very good. I was impressed. The sushi pieces were nicely sized with perfectly-sized cuts of fish. The California Roll was a little different. It contained sashimi in addition to cucumber and didn't really stay together. it was also rolled with rice on the outside (a style choice I suppose) and rolled in roe (also unusual). Our server was busy and seemed a bit harried, but he provided good service and nothing was wrong or forgotten. We'll come back again to try other parts of the menu. read more

First bad experience was after they first opened. Waiter tried to tell me I was ordering wrong drink for my meal. Was pretty rude. I know what "I" wanted. I was eating with a number of people who were not family, just friends. I had a dish that had veggies in it. When one of my friends mother had ordered a chicken dish that she assumed came with veggies and it didn't , she commented about it. They proceeded to grab MY FOOD dish and start serving to her. This might fly in another country, but you NEVER ASSUME to take a persons food and give to another WITHOUT ASKING. Was so rude. I couldn't believe they did that. The buffet on some occasions was ok. Other times hardly anything in them, but your still charged full price. Disappointing. A few weeks back I was eating with a friend and the fried rice with chicken was excellent. The chicken was very tender. And for some reason I thought there was veggies in it, like onions. I mentioned to my son when we got out of work on Christmas that I wanted to get some again. We went there for dinner. It was crowded on Christmas, so I understand why it took a little bit before taking our order, no biggie. But the rice this time was horrible. Do not go here. I would give negative stars if I could. I was on a long road trip and looking for some Thai/Asian food because I am vegetarian. This place had decent yelp reviews, but do not believe them. The staff was the RUDEST staff I have ever encountered. When I realized there were no options for vegetarians on the buffet, I asked for a regular menu. The waitress were seriously rude, and I ordered pad Thai. It took quite a while. When it finally came out, it was a pile of white noodles ( have you ever seen pad Thai - it should be orange or reddish) and it smelled like feet. I seriously couldn't eat one bite. This is the best Chinese that you are going to find in the local area's surrounding Plymouth, NH. It is a must eat kind of place. They have wonderful Sushi, amazing Chinese food and a great buffet which is only offered during the week days, not on the weekend which is a down fall, but the food is worth the prices that they charge, for the quality that is offers a little extra money is worth it. The restaurant is not usually very busy, unless you go for the buffet or in the evening for dinner, which makes for a very enjoyable meal. Although there is not a great view, and the restaurant is pretty plain, it still offers the little things that one enjoys in the restaurant setting. A must eat! read more

I called to order takeout from Fugaky, and being that this is in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, I asked if I could pay over the phone, and then when I arrive if I could call them and they give me the food at the door so that I do not have to come in. They refused. I explained that this is unacceptable behavior during a health crisis and they are losing my business. This did not persuade them, but they rather just told me to go somewhere else. Every time I come up to Ashland NH I have to take a drive to eat here. The food is honestly the best Chinese food I've EVER had and I live down near Boston. The Mongolian beef is my favorite it's fantastic! Also the eggplant in garlic sauce is delicious. The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming. Place is kept well and very clean.
