Interesting little store off the beaten path. Thankfully GPS is great for finding fun stores. There is a sign on the door regarding service dogs, but I opted to leave said dog with SO in the car with the air running. There are so many choices for fudge. Prices are a bit high, but that happens in tourist areas. After a few days of tasting this fudge, I am happy I did get some. Purchased 4 different flavors. Also purchased some salt water taffy and found that to be tasty as well. There are many "penny" candy options along the wall if you don't want taffy or fudge. My friends and family members (35 in total) went into fudge and stuff during our Montauk vacation. The ice cream is good, however, the customer service is among the worst I've ever seen. Here are some examples: my daughter asked one of the woman for a sample and she stated, "come back tomorrow when you know what you want and when we don't have a long line." A rude response? Of course. Especially when the 30 people behind her were from our family! My nephew a short time later came up to counter and asked about the ice cream and his peanut allergy. The lady responded with the regular flavors are no problem. He received his ice cream but, asked for a clean spoon. She stated, "a clean spoon won't help you with your allergies." I believe that comment is even more obnoxious than the previous and it came from two different employees. Besides the extremely small serving in a cup for $5.50, how do you treat kids and kids with allergies and special needs like this. This is unacceptable treatment and we will not be back to Fudge and Stuff on our next visit. read more

Unfortunately I had a very discriminatory experience at Fudge n Stuff. I was told by the owner that my trained service animal was not allowed to enter the store. She did not ask me: * Is this animal required because of a disability? * What work or task has this animal been trained to perform? Instead, she proceeded to yell at me in a hostile voice that my dog (a trained service animal) could bite someone and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. As a person with a disability this is not the way myself or anyone in my situation should be treated. This establishment should be seriously investigated for this form of misconduct. read more

In a town not known for modest prices on anything, this place delivers with a $2.25 kids sized ice cream cone, a gazillion packaged candies, and chocolates by the pound (or fraction thereof). But clearly, the coup de grace is the cotton candy. Not just cotton candy... cotton candy made to order. I can't even get cotton candy made to order at most carnivals, circuses or fairs. They are all pre-made these days and shoved into bags, hours before you buy them. Can't blame the vendors per se, because making the stuff is such a mad sticky mess. BUT, Fudge N Stuff sells the real deal. And you can pick red or blue. Granted, the blue isn't terribly blue... but that's probably for the best. When you go, just be prepared to wait. The fudge here is OUTRAGEOUS!! Better than the Jersey Shore (location not the show), Cape May and Atlantic City. The almond joy fudge was my favorite and the chocolate mint was my husband's. My friends had been wanting to stop in here since we arrived in Montauk and I do LOVE fudge, however, regular fudge with a ton of sugar always makes me sick. We went in here and I expected not to find anything I could eat but then I saw a sugar-free section. The flavors are limited but all the basics are there. I went with the amaretto and yes, it did taste like amaretto fudge with sugar. Nothing was lacking and it didn't taste like cardboard. They also have a selection of ice cream, which one of my friends told me was tasty. There's also a wall full of different kinds of candy. Tons and tons of stuff for anyone with a sweet tooth. Many ice cream flavors to choose from, though portions are fairly small and the ice cream was melting before it even reached my hands. I really enjoyed the flavors I had but I had to eat it faster than I'd like to avoid the drip down the cone and onto my hand. They had too many people behind the counter when we stopped in - it was confusing - the person taking the order yells the order to the person at the register and different people behind the counter are taking different parties' orders so there is a lot of cross yelling. You guys were a bunch of pricks to my 4 year old ( one old lady and 3 younger workers). We were in to buy ice cream with our masks on. My daughters mask slipped down and one of your staff yelled at her to pull up her mask. Your rough delivery scared my 4 and 5 year old children. No reaction on our part but then as we are leaving the old lady throws out the old comment of make sure she doesn't eat it until your outside. Wow, a fudge shop open late in Montauk! My friend and I stumbled upon this place after dinner Friday night and was surprised it was still open past 10pm. They have decadent array of fudges such as mud pie (which consists of caramel, oreo cookies, chocolate) to mint chocolate. I'm a glutton when it comes to desserts and I picked up this sucker the next day at 11am on my way to the beach. For 1/4 a lb, (which is about $4) one of the girls behind the counters slices you a an amazing piece of fudge wrapped in their cute Fudge N Stuff packaging. It comes with a little knife for you to slice into tinier pieces for you to share with your friends. Everything looked delicious and on the lower counter, they have sugar free sweets for your more health conscious friends. On the left side of the candy store, they have ice cream and on the shelves, they have little candy knick-knacks to satisfy your sweet tooth. All fudges are made in their own kitchen so you know it's good and made with love. However, make sure you have cash as it's cash only. read more

The fudge and ice cream at Fudge N Stuff is delicious. My only concerns with this place is the employees can be a little rude. For example, one time I asked for a new piece of fudge because my boyfriend who is severely allergic to gluten ordered plain chocolate and since they didn't wipe off the knife there was oreo from another type of fudge all over his piece. The woman seemed really annoyed and I basically had to fight her to give me a new piece with no cross-contamination. There's actually a law in New York that makes it unlawful for her to say no to a new piece, which she was completely unaware of. Also, one time while getting ice cream I asked for a cup of tap water and they tried to charge me $1.50. I'm pretty sure there's law against charging people for tap water as well. So they were definitely trying to rip me off. In conclusion, don't ask them for water and be careful if you have allergies but otherwise the food is tasty. read more

I was there over the weekend and it was cool to find a shop open until 11 in Montauk! Although we didn't try the fudge, we did have the ice cream. Peanut Butter and vanilla was so decadent and delicious. Cake Batter and Cotton Candy was also better than I've tasted in other ice cream shoppes. This store is an adorable fudge, candy and ice cream spot located slightly off the main downtown street in Montauk. The store is the definition of a mom-and-pop store - most all of its treats are homemade and the staff is delightfully friendly. The birthday cake ice cream was the best type of ice cream. It contained chunks of actual cake, gobs of icing and a scattering of real rainbow sprinkles. Almost all of the other ice creams did not taste sweet - the taste of cream and ice overpowered any other sort of flavoring or sweetness (which is why this place gets 3/5 stars). While ice cream might be most appealing, especially on a hot summer beach day, the real gem at this place is the selection of fudge. Above all, the birthday cake fudge was the best treat in the whole place. Like the birthday cake ice cream, the fudge contained pieces of cake and sprinkles. The mint chocolate fudge was a second best. I would recommend this place if you are craving fudge, chocolate covered goodies and/or candy or if you want to get an edible gift/souvenir for someone. You know the texture and taste of ice cream when it melts and gets refrozen and there's this weird ice false sweetness?
