This is one of the best Chinese food places in the Capital region. I got Sesame tofu and it was cooked perfectly, nice crispy bite to it. The sauce is excellent. My boyfriend always gets the bourbon chicken here and he says it's the best. Some places also do not have this dish which leaves him disappointed so we make the 40 minute drive to Fu Sing sometimes so he can get his favorite dish. They also cook tofu properly which makes me happy. Well worth it. If you are in the area, I recommend grabbing a bite here. We ate in the restaurant because we didn't want to have it sit in the car for 40 mins on the way home. Tables and everything were nice and clean, which is sometimes not the case for a takeout place that doesn't very often have people stay to eat on the premises. I'm super happy they made it through the pandemic and are here to stay. Parking can be tricky but not anything that would stop us from visiting. Their food is worth it! I stopped at Fu Sing for takeout lunch recently, which is located at the busy 4 corners intersection (Curry Rd & Guilderland Ave) in Rotterdam. The access in and out of here can be tricky since it's so close to the busy intersection and queued (stopped) vehicles can block the driveway. Fu Sing serves up standard Chinese fare including Hunan, Szechuan, and Cantonese style cuisine. Healthy dishes are offered. They also offer 29 Lunch Specials ($4.80-$4.90) served with rice and choice of soup or soda, and 24 Special Combination Dinners ($6.35-$7.30) served with pork fried rice & egg roll. Family size containers of duck sauce are for sale here, and the sauce packets and hot tea are complementary. The restaurant itself is order at the counter with the kitchen in view of the open waiting and dining area (tables/seats). The "skill crane" prize machine was out of order, so no wining stuffed toys & dvds for the kids. The place was steady (around 2:30PM on a Saturday) with a few customers arriving to pick-up phone-in orders and the delivery person rushing in and back out with shopping bags of hot food. I ordered the L7 Shrimp Lo Mein ($4.80 plus tax) with pork fried rice and hot & sour soup, which was ready to go in about 10 minutes. The portion of hot food (served in a round foil container) was good for the price. The Shrimp Lo Mein was tasty which had tender shrimp, cabbage, Chinese vegetable, mushrooms tossed in firm noodles. The pork fried rice had chunks of chewy roast pork and onions in firm yellow rice, pretty decent tasting. The pint of hot and sour soup had egg, mushrooms, roots, bamboo shoots, bean curd, pork, pepper flakes, a good mix of ingredients, but the broth had a weird sweet flavor and not too spicy with a bit of an aftertaste. Quite pleased with my delivery order from Fu Sing. There are a couple negative reviews on Google, so I was a bit hesitant to order. However - it's a Sunday evening and I am starving and not in the mood to cook, so I gave it a go. From the time I called in my order to the time my food arrived was less than 30 minutes. I ordered crab rangoon, hot & sour soup, and orange chicken (wanted to try something new - not that I order Chinese a ton, but I rarely stray from my lo mein). The rangoons were good (my favorite are Yummy Yummy and these are right on par) and I actually preferred the sweet & sour red sauce that Fu Sing included. The hot & sour soup was also very good - heartier than I expected with quite a few mushrooms and even some chicken. The orange chicken was ok - I enjoyed the sauce but it's just not my thing. I was so looking forward to the reopening of Chinese American restaurants. I only ordered pork fried rice and it was almost completely inedible. Half of the pork was all fat and the other half was so tough it couldn't even be chewed. Once I picked out all the pork, the rest was just okay. We ordered from here for the first time jan 28 after living in the area for many years. A few of our friends recommended this place. We ordered take out for 6 people, ordering 4 dishes to share. The beef and broccoli was not very good at all. The sauce had a strange taste and the beef was really chewy. The pork lo mien was also not good either, again a strange taste and very dry. The chicken and garlic was decent, but occasionally could be very spicy. Finally the sweet and sour chicken was good, but tough to mess that up. We called in an attempt to see if they would rectify the bad orders, but they were short on the phone and refused to redo the bad dishes. Here's the thing: order from the healthy delight menu options. Get steamed veggies - with chicken or shrimp or tofu. Garlic sauce on the side. Add the most delicious spring rolls in the world - and crab Rangoon. That is the ticket to an incredible - pretty healthy dinner. AND DELICIOUS. Every bite. Yum. And consistent - the same for 20+ years. I have been meaning to Yelp about this place for a while. I don't like typical Chinese takeout because you don't know what you are really eating... but this is my standard order spelled out above. This is really great American-Chinese Takeout food. The Pork Lo mien I have had on multiple occasions over the years taste really good and the shrimp with fried rice also is great. The flavors are not over powered like some Chinese take out I have had as the flavors all blend in to create a good balanced meal. They have some green tea in the front as you wait which is nice and doesn't take that long to get your food as they cook it pretty fast. The Sweet and Sour soup may have been the best I have ever had, Also the Egg drop and Wonton soup are great to. One of the best Chinese Take out in the Capital Region as I have tried others and always come back to this one as they have decent prices for good food especially the lunch which is cheap and filling and better than going to McDonalds down the road. This was by far the worst chinese food i've ever had. Granted all chinese food places have their packaged food but this was exceptionally flavorless across the board. Including the watered down sweet and sour sauce for crab Rangoon's which were equally as bad. Bland dough, filling not sweet or even tasting like anything. Egg Rolls and noodles for soup were so greasy they were mushy. Rice was mushy and even the Sesame Chicken tasted soggy like it was fried and still sopping with oil.
