Fun night! Everything was fresh and delicious, we had fun "cooking" the meat ourselves, makes for a super fun experience ! A little pricey, but in our opinion worth it.

Went for the first time and had the best experience. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible food, friendly service, and great drink selection.. can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

Fine-dining prices with fast-food execution -- except slower. $22 for 6 pieces of beef tongue and $32 for 8 thin slices of short rib, then over one hour of waiting for food this basic. Impressive. Small portions, slow service, and zero justification for the prices. If overpaying and waiting endlessly is your idea of a good meal, this place might be for you. Otherwise, avoid.

Great food, nice service. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. My favorite was the calamari.

Ambience is 5 out of 5. Meat quality was good unlike other Korean or Japanese bbq buffet (not comparable). Our server was very attentive and ensured she changed the grill multiple times to control the smoke from the grill. The food was good, just a little on the pricey side but you're paying for the experience as well. Make sure to look at the Shareable Combo on the menu instead of ordering by plate. We did A1 and it was filling for 2 plus hot sake.

This is how the food comes and in the center is where you cooking it and it was loads of fun

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me. So rich and full of Umami Ribeye We finished the meal off with a plate of Beef Yaki-Udon. The depth of flavor was incredible and again the Umami took center stage. Interesting fact: They have been at this location for 31 years opening first as an Italian restaurant! Myles has been in Charleston for 40 years and is an icon in the Food and Bev industry. She was most recently recognized by Congress for her impact on the Charleston food scene. We were greeted with a smile and left with a hug. We sat at the sushi bar, which I highly recommend, and from the moment we sat down it was clear we were in good hands. We were surprised right away with a complimentary amuse‑bouche--crab stick rolled with salmon--which was a thoughtful and delicious touch. To start, I ordered the seaweed salad while Justin went with the ginger salad; both were fresh, balanced, and a perfect lead‑in to the sushi. For the main event, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and eel nigiri, and this is where Zen really shined. The spicy tuna roll was exactly what sushi lovers hope for--very light on rice and heavy on fish, something that's surprisingly hard to find around Charleston. The eel nigiri was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Justin ordered several pieces of sashimi and was equally impressed. We asked about albacore tuna (unfortunately unavailable), but were told the salmon was excellent--and moments later, we were unexpectedly served two additional pieces of sushi each. Completely unexpected and incredibly appreciated, especially for a birthday celebration. Between the quality of the fish, attention to detail, and warm hospitality, Zen Asian Fusion absolutely won us over. We've officially found our new sushi spot and can't wait to come back.

I had been looking forward to trying the beef stew, and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. It was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and order it again. I would definitely return to try more dishes because everything was well-seasoned and full of flavor. My meal was delicious, and every bite was packed with meat, which I really appreciated. The service could have been a little better, as my daughter's meal was forgotten even though she's a child. However, aside from that, we had a great time and truly enjoyed the experience. I look forward to coming back to try even more items on the menu.

Appetizers are good and come out quickly. For two people, I'd opt for more than a single appetizer if you are peckish. I had a tofu eggplant dish they said was spicy and it WAS. So believe them when you see the chili pepper on the menu. Service was fine; not lightning quick nor did I feel ignored. Parking is shared with other stores in a private lot so not a concern at all. The soups were quite tasty and the vegetables were all bright and appetizing. I'd go back again happily, but not as a group. If you have more than 4 people, consider an alternative location.
