Excellent food and atmosphere. We went for Sunday lunch (yes they are open on Sunday after church) and ate from the lunch menu. About $25-30 per person including soup/salad and soft drinks. My wife took home leftovers. Very light crowd so our server was always available. Cool looking place. It is very expensive at night but it's a high end restaurant.

This is how the food comes and in the center is where you cooking it and it was loads of fun

Food service and ambience was amazing. The food was delicious and what a unique way of doing it. Highly recommend for families that don't have conversations at their tables. This will give your 10-year-old on the way up to older to actually have a conversation while they're cooking dinner and having fun. You can have it cooked for you ahead of time but seriously family ties are broken because nobody talks to the table they're at their phones. I just spent entire two hours with my two granddaughters not once were they on their phones. We talked we laughed. We talked about cooking the food. We talked about sharing it and how delicious it was. We talked about their lives. It was family time. Just telling you if you have a family that sits down to dinner and nobody talks you need to try this at least once to see if you see the difference. The food is amazing the Services 110% absolutely wonderful and the ambience is just relaxing for a family environment. The flavor is amazing. And you're eating slower because you're cooking it and it's awesome.

    Great presentation!

My husband and I went there for lunch and we were very impressed with the decor and the ambience. Our waiter, Joel, was quick and attentive. He checked on us frequently and make sure my husband's ice tea glass was filled at all time. I ordered Japenese Omelette and it came with salad or Soup. I choice salad, and it was fresh crispy and the Sea Toast dressing was so delicious! We have the calamari appetizer, which you have to cut it up your self with a scissor, it's kinda corky, but it was so good, I can eat the whole thing all by myself. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful. We would definitely go back again.

Fun night! Everything was fresh and delicious, we had fun "cooking" the meat ourselves, makes for a super fun experience ! A little pricey, but in our opinion worth it.

Fine-dining prices with fast-food execution -- except slower. $22 for 6 pieces of beef tongue and $32 for 8 thin slices of short rib, then over one hour of waiting for food this basic. Impressive. Small portions, slow service, and zero justification for the prices. If overpaying and waiting endlessly is your idea of a good meal, this place might be for you. Otherwise, avoid.

Not too many options on Christmas Eve but Kanji was opened and I figured why not? Totally normal, fast sushi/hibachi place in Summerville. It's not premium sushi but it's not a premium price either, service was friendly, my sushi (Maki Combo) was made very fast, it tasted fine, and it was reasonably priced. What more could I ask for? My husband got the spring rolls, I got the crispy wontons & pot stickers all of which were very good. My husband got the steak & shrimp combo and I got the steak. When it got to our house my husband started eating and he said, I'm still amazed that when you say medium rare on the steak it's always medium rare. I mean it's impressive bc you would think after being in a closed container and then having to travel around 15 mins to our house it's still medium rare. They are always so pleasant on the phone too. The only complaint I have is their app (and I'm not sure this is their fault). When you order on the app there is no place to make substitutions. The hibachi is normally served with fried rice but I like white rice with my hibachi & on the app there is no where to change it. So I always have to call it in. Which isn't a big deal but using the app would be nice but bc I can't make a change on the app I'll continue to call in my order. But they are always so nice it's a pleasure talking to them. When I forgot to tell them I wanted my steak medium rare, I called back to tell them. And they said no problem. Then a couple of minutes later they called me back and asked if the shrimp & steak combo was medium rare also. I thought that was great! She said she thought it was probably the same but she didn't want to assume. I appreciate attention to details like that.

We sat at the sushi bar, which I highly recommend, and from the moment we sat down it was clear we were in good hands. We were surprised right away with a complimentary amuse‑bouche--crab stick rolled with salmon--which was a thoughtful and delicious touch. To start, I ordered the seaweed salad while Justin went with the ginger salad; both were fresh, balanced, and a perfect lead‑in to the sushi. For the main event, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and eel nigiri, and this is where Zen really shined. The spicy tuna roll was exactly what sushi lovers hope for--very light on rice and heavy on fish, something that's surprisingly hard to find around Charleston. The eel nigiri was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Justin ordered several pieces of sashimi and was equally impressed. We asked about albacore tuna (unfortunately unavailable), but were told the salmon was excellent--and moments later, we were unexpectedly served two additional pieces of sushi each. Completely unexpected and incredibly appreciated, especially for a birthday celebration. Between the quality of the fish, attention to detail, and warm hospitality, Zen Asian Fusion absolutely won us over. We've officially found our new sushi spot and can't wait to come back.

You definitely might need to cut it down or maybe half it for a bite but I still loved it. They brought it with a fork and knife, so it's kind of expected. I also ordered the Sambal or yellow curry with chicken. It was pretty good too. It came with a house salad. The dressing on the salad was delicious. The samba curry was really good too. I liked that everything came out hot. I also ordered the SC rainbow. It was good too. I pretty much liked everything I ordered. Id probably order all of those again. Service and ambiance was good. It seemed busier than I expected.

The soups were quite tasty and the vegetables were all bright and appetizing. I'd go back again happily, but not as a group. If you have more than 4 people, consider an alternative location.

We ordered beef and broccoli, sweet-and-sour chicken, pan-fried noodles with beef, egg drop soup and sticky buns. The service itself was good: we were seated quickly, drinks came right away, and our server checked on us multiple times. No complaints there. That said, the food was where things fell short. The portions were noticeably smaller than the Savannah location. The beef in both the beef and broccoli and the pan-fried noodles was very chewy, which took away from the overall experience. The sweet-and-sour chicken was a bit overcooked and crunchy--still edible, but not great. The pan-fried noodles had good flavor, but again, the chewy beef was an issue. Initially, they brought me the wrong soup kind of debated me for a moment telling me it was the right one, but it wasn't. They correct the right one though after a longer conversation. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and clean. Lots of cherry blossom decorations on the ceiling make it feel warm. It was clean and did not smell bad. Our total came out to about $86 with tip, which isn't bad price-wise, but for the quality and portion size, it didn't feel worth it compared to the other location. Overall, it's okay, but definitely a step down. If I'm craving E Tang, I'd skip this Pooler spot and go back to the original Savannah location instead.
