A few months ago I needed a forklift repair and saw a repair truck at another business so i stopped…read moreand got the number of the repair person. He came by later and fixed my forklift. these guys were very professional. BUT from day one we encountered their administrative person Ruth M. Martinez, this person is one of the most despicable persons ive ever encountered. I decided that ill tolerate her crap because the technicians were professional. Then we had a major breakdown of our forklifts, and this persons unprofessionalism exploded. she gave me a quote which in hindsight tells me they never examined the machine just gave me a quote for 8000, said it would take 8 weeks. at 6 weeks after telling me that the quote was to overhaul the engine, and now i need to buy a new shaft as that wasnt quoted in the original quote, know i was being ripped off, and she had the forklift i was in a tough spot. bottom line that added almost 2000 to the original quote. called to discuss this and was told how much other work was done on my forklift and basically i should be thankful. once again after almost two months i still have not had the use of my forklift. finally the forklift was fixed and delivered to my ship. as soon as one of my crewmembers started the forklift it was leaking oil and the braked wouldnt work. i messaged her This was Thursday 13th March 2025. she couldnt care less and pushed responsibility for this on some person in the heavens, but it was not their fault, but she would pick up the forklift and see what was the issue. today is wendsday and they have not picked up the forklift. if you need a forklift repair in Fort Lauderdale i suggest you go to Worldwide they may be a little more expensive but they are very customer friendly and try to get you your forklift in a reasonable time and follow up with you. this is the nonsense this person gets away with in speaking with the customers of this business. STAY AWAY if you dont want to loose your hard earned money. admin tropicallift.com Mar 13, 2025, 3:56PM (6 days ago) Robert Again I am here to make money if there WAS an issue with the brakes I would of email you an estimate trust me Then it would be your decision to repair or not You are correct I am the professional I WOULD NOT have delivered the forklift with the brake issue The forklift was here for a major overhauled of the motor. Which was done We also change the transmission fluid and filter that was not part of the estimate I am not here to go back in forth. I will have the tow truck pick up the forklift Once in in my shop I will diagnose the issue and email you an estimate Thank you NOTE: Our prices may change without prior notice Tropical New Logo Ruth M. Dernisha please coordinate to move the Forkift to Logistec before the ship leaves. This forklift was there for weeks it needed a major overhaul but you guys didn't check to make sure there was other things wrong with the forklift? You are the professionals I depended on you to advise me what was wrong with the forklift and not having to discover that the brakes are leaking after it was returned to me and after spending over 10000 dollars to fix it. This is very disappointing. Robert Millington. On Thu, Mar 13, 2025 at 1:52PM wrote: Good afternoon I don't know what happen. We did not touch the brake. All we work on is on the motor. This business from the beginning called me to verify the time I was going to be home and asked what time is best for me. On the agreed day they were punctual and courteous. I had to take my child to daycare and they agreed to wait till I got back to perform the assessment which I was extremely thankful. Once inside they explained everything as to what they were doing and the reasoning behind it. I wanted a pice of wood cut out but he explained it was better to keep the original treated wood and that they will decon my wood and paint over the entire areas of concern. Overall their professionalism, communication, and friendliness was above what I was expecting. They were very nice and clean. They use legit equipment to even air out the house, vacuum after themselves and wiped the floor after they were done. I highly recommend these folks.
