Their admission process is awful for their infant program…read more They had me join a wait list and kept telling me that they would have spots available. I even met the teacher, who said she was excited to have my baby in her class!!! I was told not to worry by multiple staff and I kept in continuous contact as they instructed me to do. At one point a staff member told me that the wait list didn't even matter, it was who could actually enroll ASAP (infants have to be four months old). This was their actual admissions person they hired to sit in an empty classroom full of unused toys. How about give her an office and open up the classroom???? I called another time and spoke to the actual director, who tried to tell me that people had been on the wait list longer than me which was literally impossible because 1) Early in my pregnancy I called to go on a wait list. They told me they wouldn't put me on a waitlist until I was further along. 2) Called in 2nd trimester. Told I was on a wait list but told to call back when she was born 3) Child born. Called again. Confirmed on wait list and given optimism, told to call back monthly to check in 4) Child old enough to enroll. No spots now or in foreseeable future apparently. All of that optimism vanished. I was now coldly told that they had nothing available. It was a really shocking change, honestly.

They constantly having huge meetings which make it extremely hard for parents to drop off our children in the morning since all the parking in front of the school and the surrounding neighborhood are taken. This morning I had to park all the way at the beginning Temple Street, dragged my toddler for 15 minutes to get to the school and then was told we are not allowed to go through the front door and need to use the side gate and walk all around the back of the school to get to the classroom to drop my child off. It seems like serving families is not the first priority at Land anymore!!! I'm a single working mom, because of this ordeal I was written up as work for getting to work late after getting on the 405 20 minutes later than my usual schedule. Please take in consideration all the families attending Land and find a more suitable revenue for all these meetings

Educationally I would rate this school 4. I would rate it 100/5 if the staff smiles more often and…read moreacts more affectionately. Emotionally I would give it 1. They forget that this is still an elementary school with preschool, transitional kidergarten, and kindergarten,... Kids these ages are still very week physically, and emotionally and still need to be active and cherished and sensed that they are in a warm welcoming environment. Weather starts to be cold, they still have the kids eat outside. Other schools already have kids eat year round in the warm cozy MPR. Fruit is not cut into pieces, how can you expect small kids peel off oranges by themselves. Even they have meal staff that is willing to help the kids but it is also too much if the staff have to peel 10 or 20 oranges in 15 minutes while still have to run around helping so many other needs. Kids get unmotivated from hard to handle fruit and they just throw the fruit into the trash. If kids try to peel off oranges, they may break their nail, have the juice flies into their eye and burns their eyes. Even we as the adults go out to picnic or any catering, the fruit at least the oranges are cut into pieces. Only the principal and the office manager and a few number of good hearted professional teachers smile often and sweetly communicate with parents and kids. Mostly it has a very cold feeling with no smiles and stressful faces, and cold voices. Kids beside good education still need to feel cared, loved, paid attention, talked to sweetly and proffesioanally so their brain can be nurtured with good manners and they can trust that they are in a good place. We have to related this school to robot school since we feel no love and the environment is so stressful. There are staff that don't even initiate hello, goodbye and worse even ignore when parents say hello or goodbye to them. We just give them a benefit of doubt that they don't have good listening or communication skills. It will be much better if the wordfs "hi, thank you, goodbye, sorry we can't do this but thanks for your advice,..." accompanied with smiling faces. If these can change we would rate this school 100/5. We just feel bad that this school has super good educational tools but still lacks of that warm heart feeling and cared for the kids.

Yeah don't see your kids here. This is gonna sound petty but I remember being a student here when I…read morewas around 6. These teachers are far from christian as they will let your kids get bullied and picked up. I got chased and pushed to the ground by my entire class while the teachers just sat on the chair and watched. Your kids will get bullied here and they will not care. I stand on that.

Ms. Hill worked so good with him, implementing different tools for behavior and communicating with us daily. We have seen such a tremendous difference from when he started Kindergarten, to graduation. Now he is in 1st grade and is doing really good. Miss Leal, the 1st grade teacher is super awesome as well and has different strategies for my son like open seating in his desk or on the floor. Now our daughter is in Kindergarten and has struggled a bit with the transition from preschool to Kinder, but Ms. Hill has helped her, and we are seeing the same progress as our son. One of the most amazing things besides the teachers is the Christian education that these children are getting. They are coming home and praying for each other, learning Bible verses, and knowing how many books of the Bible there are! The "special" classes that they have are also so amazing: music, art, computers and PE. They are teaching amazing concepts and my kids are learning so much. I HIGHLY recommend Bethany Christian Academy as a school for your children. They will learn about God, biblical principles, have a high quality education with teachers who are godly and loving, and the price is the lowest in Orange County! Not to mention many extra curricular activities, events, chapel, and awards for each child.
