My dad raved about this bread he ate when he went to Colombia many years ago. It's made with cassava starch, egg and cheese. Each one costed $1.75. It was flavorful; slightly sweet and soft. It was different. I wouldn't mind buying it again. The bakery had other pastries and savories as well. There were a few tables for dining.

Everything was so tasty and authentic. The serving size was perfect, and the food came out hot and fast. Highly recommend this place, which the worker said had just opened 2 months ago. A few days ago The Food Truck Operator for Zoelily had posted a video of one of his regular customers going off on a verbal assault towards him after a dispute of how many "free" hot sauce containers should be "free" Apparently the customer bought 2 Empanadas so he received 2 "free" hot sauces, but when he wanted more than 2 that's when Zoelily told him "I will have to charge you for the extras" and that's when it seems the customer replied with a $100 bill which our Empanada Truck Operator couldn't make change for sending the customer into a derogatory filled rant which Zoelily captured on video and posted on his Facebook account. Now, unfortunately due to the Covid-19 related revenue losses the Empanada Mobile had been behind on It's payments and the bank had repossessed the Truck after learning of it's whereabouts from the posted video which has made it's way to the local TV News. My understanding is that a GoFundMe account is presently in the works to bring back the beloved Empanada Mobile. I'll keep You Posted!!

Stop for some fresh fish, beef, chicken, etc and I have a perfect summer meal. The Denville market is a bit smaller than the Morristown one, but they still have great vendors a number of which are not over at Morristown. The location for this market is very convenient with lots of parking-and it's an easy in and out. Can't wait til June!

While I was driving through Dover looking to have a full breakfast at a Colombian restaurant, I…read morenoted that the mix of restaurants has shifted from being dominated by Colombian cuisine to a mix of Latin places including, Peruvian, Salvadorian, Mexican and other assorted Latin choices. Of note, there seems to be few breakfast joints. The places that open early and offer breakfasts are either not Colombian or are simply Colombian bakeries, not full service restaurants. In search of huevos pericos, pan con queso, an empanada and, naturally, cafe con leche, I found myself disappointed. So I stopped in to the oddly named Pizza Pan...Colombian pizza... wtf... I found myself in a simple bakery where one can but coffe and food and eat at a stool and narrow table in the windows or at their small shared table tops. The baked goods looked good. The place was clean and the one employee ( or owner, yo ne se) worked the fron counter and register. First of all, this is a Colombian joint so, of course the coffee is going to be good ( as long as you have Colombians working there). So, I got to the counter and was ready to to spit out my best Regala me un empanada de carne con un caffe con leche, por favor. No need..the lady already marked me as a gringo and said can I help you honey.... Pretty funny to me and I continued to get great friendly service from a great person. So, I had a coffee, one beef empanada and a croissant like pastry which was filled with ham and cheese.. I think the damages were about 5 bucks. I confidently walked over to one of the shared tables and asked if the person already there, a Colombian guy, minded if I sat down to eat. Very friendly and gracious, he replied in English, sure have a seat as you wish. Why do I talk about the languages....because, do not assume one can not speak English because of appearances or location. Just be your self and things work out. I am lucky as I can handle myself in a couple of languages ( I am not fluent but I can be understood) Back to the empanadas...Traditional Colombian empanadas are made from a dough which is a yellow - orangish color due to the use of annotte but recipes due vary. Here, they use a brisket cut of beef that is cooked till tender and is pulled. Cheaper versions use ground beef. All the items were fresh and well made and I really enjoyed. I still want my pericos !

Located in a strip mall on route 46, it has plentiful parking. The grill in back is something of a hidden gem -- if I hadn't read about it in a Yelp review I wouldn't have looked for it. I'm delighted I did: had a chicken shawarma wrap for lunch, and it was remarkably good. Flavors bursting. Juicy, not at all dry. Great value. Very friendly service: I was there at 2.30 and suddenly there was a rush and the store manager stepped behind the grill to fill orders. This is not fast food; it's real food. The store is a mini supermarket with a fruit and vegetable section, several aisles of canned and jarred goods, packages; there is also a butcher shop with adjacent shelves offering whole chickens, sliced beef and different cuts of lamb. I felt as if I was in a toy store: I couldn't stop admiring things. The wrap was superb; I ordered a platter and another shawarma to take home for dinner (and the manager comped me a soda and talked me into ordering a special platter). What a gem of a place with great ambiance. Highly recommended. It is now on my A list.

I've been here a few times and I think it's good. The grocery store itself has really good prices…read moreand doesn't hike them up like other stores in the area do. The restaurant in the back is really good as well. I have highly recommended it to many of my friends. I knocked it down a star because the restaurant has really long wait times and is on the more expensive side. If it was larger portions, or they were able to move it along a bit quicker I think the prices could be a bit more justified, but having wraps and sandwiches be around $10 when they're on the smaller scale for the area was definitely surprising. It's a pretty clean store overall and it's easy to navigate except for the front doors lol it has multiple different signs telling you what door to go into but only one of those doors works, which was very weird. So I do think they need to clarify that. But overall, I would probably go here again only if they made their restaurant price is a bit more reasonable. But they're butcher section and the other grocery areas definitely are a good price.
