After visiting two times, back-to-back days, I think I can give a decently fair review for this…read morerare DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant. Fueled by nostalgia of how delicious DQ's desserts were, I was hoping for a complete meal, which includes a main course and side, and the dessert drink/shake would suffice. What I got was adeqeute, decent at most, but would this DQ be a restaurant I would go out of the way to eat at? Probably not. Let's start with the ambiance and service. First and foremost, DQ is located inside of a gas station. That doesn't necessarily make it bad, but DQ's organization of their space was very lacking. They used boxes and displays to block off areas and some of the tables were outdated and dirty. The staff were decent in general as some hit basic manners up to actually being quite nice. With the exception of some who went above average with their attitude, being average in fast food hospitality should be an average at least and many of the staff were under that. The food needs to be divided up on what was great and what was average too. The chicken sandwich and cheese curds were okay. Delicious but a flavor that is found in many gas stations and burger joints. Where DQ stands out is their desserts. I had the Orea Brookie Blizzard and the Peanut Butter Paws (I can't remember the name) Blizzard and both were amazingly delicious. I will admit I did not use the restrooms because the gas station was sub-par as well as the dining area of DQ. I equate both to the restrooms being a tragedy most likely. Overall, I would only get DQ if I really wanted DQ and most likely, it will be for their desserts. However, I will never drive out of the way to eat there. It has to be on the way, I have to want DQ to the point that any better alternatives are just not wanted on my end too. I will be nice and give this restaurant a three star review. However, if I could do partial stars, this place is easily 2.25 or 2.5 stars tops.

Guiseppe's Fellsmere is one of those restaurants I have wanted to try for quite a while but as it…read moreis 25 + miles away I just never made the trip. Yesterday my daughter and I were taking my cousin and her husband out for a late lunch and as Guiseppe's is about 10 miles from them we all thought we would give it a try. Now 3 of us are 100% Italian and my daughter is 50% Italian, so we know our way around an Italian cucina. That also makes us a bit picky when it comes to Italian food. We got there around 3 so the place wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Server came immediately and was very pleasant and jovial. Drink order was served immediately as was some hot, homemade Italian bread. We ordered spaghetti, lasagna, meat tortellini and I had the meat ravioli with a side of sausages. Everyone stated what they had was excellent. Portions were large but not huge. Sauces ... meat, alfredo and marinara .., all tasty. Sausages were among the best I have had in my 44 years in Florida. We finished it off with coffee and in-house made cannolis and they too were good. Prices were reasonable as well. Unfortunately, they have lost 2 cooks that were with them for more than 30 years and are having trouble finding suitable replacements so temporarily they are closing their dining room right now at 4. The pick-up window is open until 10. I will 100% be going back and now am eve willing to make the 25-mile drive! CALL FOR HOURS AS HOURS POSTED HERE ARE INCORRECT

I was third in line to order and one of the employee step from behind the counter to expedite my order. Wow, I was impressed at the attention to customer service. I ordered my salad and waited about 10 minutes and my food was delivered to me in the waiting area. The salad was fresh, very tasty and filling, a true Greek salad with all the proper ingredients, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onion, hot yellow peppers, tomatoes with a fantastic Greek salad dressing. Generous amount of delicious chicken topped the salad. I speculate that the pizza must be good as many were picking up pizzas to go, so definitely something to try next time. Highly recommended!

YUMMERS! We have been coming here for like 2 years and cannot believe we never shared about this…read moreawesome place. It is located in Fellsmere, which if you don't know is bumfuck Florida. However, this place is worth the drive. 2 minutes off of I-95 at exit 156. This is an old cow town and many farms still exist. It's 10 minutes from Lake Garcia which has awesome airboat rides. Airboat and Marsh breakfast is a great day. The place is an old bank I believe. Like from a zillion years ago. The interior is so cool. It is adorned with many taxidermy wildlife, historic pictures, and fun quotes. Fun. This is the place locals go to. Now let's talk food. We generally go For breakfast. Big portions, good prices, and ton of variety. So many southern specialties and freshly made. Their chicken fried steak is always a treat. Very down home country feel and menu. Today we went for lunch. My wife had shrimp and grits. YUMMERs! So good. The flavors coming out of this dish were as good, if not better than any we've had in the Carolinas. I had their chicken salad sandwich. They add bacon and love to this sandwich. I also think they use some dark meat which gives the whole thing a more chickeny taste. So good. And as if I was 5-years old, they serve it with ruffle potato chips and they were awesome. Especially when you dip them in the shrimp and grits sauce. The glazed carrots were as perfect as a glazed carrot can be. Slight hint of sweetness, so the carrot flavor was perfect. The only negative was the Mac N Cheese. That was a train wreck. The cheese had hardened throughout the dish making it not a smooth dish as one would expect. No issue. Oh, the applesauce was cinnimony awesomeness. Love this place and you will too. The service is not fast, so be patient. Great people, just a bit slow. M

Service was friendly, and our drinks came out quickly. I ordered the fried gator tail nuggets. The breading was good, but the meat itself was chewy, which made them disappointing. Several people in my group also felt their meals were overcooked, from the eggs to some of the breakfast meats. It's not a bad place, and I can see why it's popular with locals, but based on this visit the food didn't quite match the atmosphere. I'd be willing to give it another try someday and hope this was just an off morning.
