Best ice cream anywhere. It's worth a trip and stroll down Main Street. Just a reminder set, they only take cash.

Best ice cream ever. Great service as well. Not from the area but relatives brought us there. Will return.

There are few things in life which would be able to ruin my joy at spotting a Dairy Queen, but this…read moredid it. Stopped our road trip so we (and the dog) could pee, and DQ was right next to the field. This DQ shares a location with a gas station and a Stuckey's store (hooray for log rolls!) but the differences between them are vast and wide. My day would have been better if I had stayed outside... The Stuckey's was pretty typical for a highway gas station, with the accompanying alligator feet back scratchers and ice cold beer, sold by a smiling cashier. The DQ on the other hand was manned by a surly woman standing behind and leaning on the counter. When asked if the unmoving line was to order or pick up, I was told none of the 5 people in front of me had even ordered yet. Got in line only to be told "y'all have to wait til I mop the floor" which would have been fine if she was mopping, or even about to start mopping, but nope. That had to wait too. Bad food, crappy service, and a disgusting bathroom helped me get back on the road much earlier than I had planned.

After visiting two times, back-to-back days, I think I can give a decently fair review for this…read morerare DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant. Fueled by nostalgia of how delicious DQ's desserts were, I was hoping for a complete meal, which includes a main course and side, and the dessert drink/shake would suffice. What I got was adeqeute, decent at most, but would this DQ be a restaurant I would go out of the way to eat at? Probably not. Let's start with the ambiance and service. First and foremost, DQ is located inside of a gas station. That doesn't necessarily make it bad, but DQ's organization of their space was very lacking. They used boxes and displays to block off areas and some of the tables were outdated and dirty. The staff were decent in general as some hit basic manners up to actually being quite nice. With the exception of some who went above average with their attitude, being average in fast food hospitality should be an average at least and many of the staff were under that. The food needs to be divided up on what was great and what was average too. The chicken sandwich and cheese curds were okay. Delicious but a flavor that is found in many gas stations and burger joints. Where DQ stands out is their desserts. I had the Orea Brookie Blizzard and the Peanut Butter Paws (I can't remember the name) Blizzard and both were amazingly delicious. I will admit I did not use the restrooms because the gas station was sub-par as well as the dining area of DQ. I equate both to the restrooms being a tragedy most likely. Overall, I would only get DQ if I really wanted DQ and most likely, it will be for their desserts. However, I will never drive out of the way to eat there. It has to be on the way, I have to want DQ to the point that any better alternatives are just not wanted on my end too. I will be nice and give this restaurant a three star review. However, if I could do partial stars, this place is easily 2.25 or 2.5 stars tops.

YUMMERS! We have been coming here for like 2 years and cannot believe we never shared about this…read moreawesome place. It is located in Fellsmere, which if you don't know is bumfuck Florida. However, this place is worth the drive. 2 minutes off of I-95 at exit 156. This is an old cow town and many farms still exist. It's 10 minutes from Lake Garcia which has awesome airboat rides. Airboat and Marsh breakfast is a great day. The place is an old bank I believe. Like from a zillion years ago. The interior is so cool. It is adorned with many taxidermy wildlife, historic pictures, and fun quotes. Fun. This is the place locals go to. Now let's talk food. We generally go For breakfast. Big portions, good prices, and ton of variety. So many southern specialties and freshly made. Their chicken fried steak is always a treat. Very down home country feel and menu. Today we went for lunch. My wife had shrimp and grits. YUMMERs! So good. The flavors coming out of this dish were as good, if not better than any we've had in the Carolinas. I had their chicken salad sandwich. They add bacon and love to this sandwich. I also think they use some dark meat which gives the whole thing a more chickeny taste. So good. And as if I was 5-years old, they serve it with ruffle potato chips and they were awesome. Especially when you dip them in the shrimp and grits sauce. The glazed carrots were as perfect as a glazed carrot can be. Slight hint of sweetness, so the carrot flavor was perfect. The only negative was the Mac N Cheese. That was a train wreck. The cheese had hardened throughout the dish making it not a smooth dish as one would expect. No issue. Oh, the applesauce was cinnimony awesomeness. Love this place and you will too. The service is not fast, so be patient. Great people, just a bit slow. M

If you expect white tablecloths and candles then keep looking. Some say expensive but everything is expensive these days. I'd rather pay here where the service (our server was Nanci) is great the food is very good for the price. Well worth the bit of a drive to get here. Oh and there is live bluegrass on Thursdays. Be sure to make a reservation. Bon appetite
