Pina loca in a cup
Jasmine M.

A perfect treat for a hot summer day. Visited Frutazo when they were in woodland. Even though a long line it moved surprisingly fast. The hardest part was trying to figure out what to get! I got the pina loca usually it cost $12 bust they ran out of the pineapple shell. So they gave me the pina loca in a big cup and only charged $6. Not bad at all. The pina loca has pineapple, cucumber, mango and strawberries plus chamoy. The only thing that was missing was the straw covered in candy. After we got our orders they gave us an extra cup to pour extra chamoy and tajin to take back to the office.

The best freaking fruit cup my lips have ever tasted! Awesome customer service. Highly recommend for you all to try. Yum!

Talk about the perfect refreshing treat for a hot summer day! Backstory: I was driving down Del Paso and found this gem (the bright colors of the food truck definitely caught my attention) and decided since it was only 98 degrees in lovely Sacramento, I'd give it a try. I've previously only had fruit cups from the flea market (also very refreshing and tasty) but ohh my jesus, this was the best...hands down. What I ordered: Pinãda - This is quite a simple drink combo that contain sliced pineapples (my fave), gunthers pinepple freeze (yum), tajin (a must for fruit), and chimoy (I hope I spelled that right). So refreshing. I will say that I love the fact that they leave tajin and chimoy on the counter in case you'd like to add more (I love chimoy!) Experience: Mike (the owner) was honestly a super nice dude. Super helpful as far as explaining the experience and how to order (tons of options). The Frutazo stand does have ready to order drink (Pinãda, Mangonada, etc) but they also have a "Create Your Own" type of experience that allows for you to get real creative. So many options I wouldn't know where to start but I'm sure some people would have fun with that. Cons: Umm as far as the quality and experience I truly have zero complaints. After talking with Mike and checking out there Instagram page (@frutazo_stands), they're schedule can vary depending on local events. That can be frustrating for some but they do have a fairly consistent schedule on 921 Del Paso Ave. And final mention is that location parking is a tad tight (you basically pull off to side of road). There's plenty of space for up to 4 cars but on a busy day it could get tricky. Wrapping It Up: Its going to blow you away and you will basically walk away smiling! That same smile will not return until you return to Frutazo Stands for another delicious summer treat.

I love this place. My new go-to in Sac for mangonadas and fruit freeze. I've been on a search for some good mangonadas and have been very disappointed with some of the ones I've been to in town. (I usually go to Stockton for good mangonadas.) There's another place I went to that also uses Gunther's freeze but whatever they had put in there did not taste good. I like that their menu is simple and not overwhelming. Fruits/freezes are fresh and tasty. They make it easy to pick and choose what you want. Price is decent and not as expensive as other places. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Fyi, if you're looking for this place, don't Google the address on here. Follow them on Instagram for location since this is more of a food truck type. We got lost looking for them but the owner responded quick.

First time trying it and it was very good, also refreshing! Went with a champagne berry freeze, strawberries & mango with everything mixed, no holding back lol.

I love this food truck. I have gotten fruit many times at events. It's so fresh and they spice it to your need and taste. I love the mangos and how they all mix well. Everyone who works there is super friendly and always happy to see you even when they are swamped. If you see them I always grab them as my desert it's so refreshing.

Mmmm... ¡Sábado! Just in time for Summer. Quick, easy and delicious. The fruit is fresh and you can build your Frutazo any way you like.

Holy shhhhhhhhh. Aaaaamazing! Just ate the Pinada and I was completely blown away. Just the right amount of chili and fruit flavor. Seriously so good. Highly recommend.

So good. I frequently go on my lunch break and only have that haha they have all the fixings and are always super nice

Cucumber Piña with lime and spices. So delicious!!

This is my new favorite dessert. It was sweet, refreshing, and delicious. Deep down I want to tell myself it was healthy. At least healthier than a Sunday :) I was really impressed, the owner was kind, the service was great, and the concept is cool and exactly what Sacramento needs. I highly recommend you find out where this truck will be and enjoy at least one of their deliciooous treats, once you have one you're going to want more so bring friends so you can try a few. I know I will next time. It was a great experience to try out with my girlfriend. We spent quite a while talking about how delicious and fun this desert was. It even gave us something to talk about all night at a family party.

This is the best fruit truck I have ever had! They serve real Gunther's freeze and I love there freezes but then these guys make it into the most delicious thing I ever had. Gunthers Mexican style which is awesome! But if you just want a regular fruit cup they do that also. They have a big selection of freeze flavors but I'll probably just stick to my lime and lemon. Since I discovered this truck I been going a couple times a week and plan on going many more times in the future. I recommend everyone try this! Every time I leave I always say, "MAN I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN TWO" lol. The owner is also a nice friendly guy so that is a plus! Hey guys keep up the good work! Much success to you!!!

My eye was first drawn to the churro, I haven't been able to have one in years, I was so excited. It was everything I ever wanted in a churro. I grew up loving apple fritters and since having to go GF, it is my most missed donut-adjacent treat. This one was smaller than a normal one, but that was fine because I could actually enjoy it without it being too big. Perfectly fluffy with apple pieces and spiced just right, it was delicious. The cruellers were nice and crispy on the outside and just sweet enough. Glazed with chocolate or regular icing, they are a perfect donut. I have recommended this spot to others that are GF, they need to experience the joy of a prefect GF donut!

Both tasted very good but slightly different without dairy. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the flavor and textures. My friend ended up with the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie which was also great. I love a crunch or different texture mixed in. She did mention that the Rocky Road tasted a bit off because of the lack of dairy and the texture was a bit unusual. The staff were polite and patient and the place didn't seem that crowded for a Thursday around dinner time. I suppose with Ginger Elizabeth's and Rick's Dessert Diner all on the same strip, there is a lot of competition for dessert places here. We were happy to try something new. Everything was fairly clean and there was plenty of bar seating as well as a few tables. I believe there were also tables outside.

I only intended on grabbing one but everything looked absolutely beautiful so I couldn't make up my mind. The cherry pastry was a stunner and delicious as well with great flavor and a nice balance of sweetness. My husband wanted the Estelle Noisette and although it was good, it was my least favorite of the three. It had pleasant nutty flavors but it was a little too rich for me. In the end, the real standout was the Blueberry Choux. The cream was light and fluffy and it had just the right amount of blueberry flavor. I really liked the texture of the pastry too and how it complimented the fluffy cream. I would definitely order that one again and highly recommend it. The pastries are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation justify the cost. The interior of the shop was nice and definitely reminded me of patisseries in France. There was plenty of seating available inside but I took my order to go. I'm really glad I finally got to give them a try and while not every item was a home run for me, the Blueberry Choux alone made the visit worthwhile. I will definitely be back to explore more of their offerings very soon.

They've apparently been serving Sacramento for over 37 years! - Hot Fudge Sundae -- made with Gunther's vanilla & chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream, pralines, and a candied cherry; beautifully presented with warm hot fudge drizzled all over - Lemon Raspberry Cake -- moist sponge cake layered with lemon, raspberry, and whipped cream; balanced sweetness with buttercream-coated sides The red booth seating and vintage Americana decor really complete the nostalgic vibe. I was right next to them sitting at a table with my brother so of course I heard, and I got up and I said what's up with this grandma stuff, and he said that he answered her question and told her that he thought I was her grandmother. Honestly, I felt completely insulted like you're not supposed to say things like that to your customers or even about your customers. I felt myself getting ready to go completely off on him, so I walked away and went to sit back down. He had the audacity to tell my niece some people can't handle the truth. It's so baffling to me that a manager would say something like that. I know employees sometimes say inappropriate things, but he should know better!! This was supposed to be a nice family outing and he ruined my night. Luckily I have confidence in myself and his comment didn't give me a complex or make me like I look old. It was also disappointing because I went in there specifically to get an eclair, which is normally a decent size. For some reason, it was the half of the size and the same price.

Café de Olla is a classic Mexican coffee that offers a well-balanced blend of coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar, often served with heavy cream to give you a comforting and energizing boost. Traditionally, it's even served at funerals as families celebrate the passing of a loved one into a better life. It's meant to be warm, rich, and meaningful. However, the café's version was far from that. The counter staff overpromised their Café de Olla, but it tasted terrible. When I asked to switch to a mocha because of how bad the coffee was, their friendly smile quickly disappeared. They didn't offer a replacement or try to make it right. Instead, I had to pay again for the mocha just to finish the coffee break with my wife. Very disappointing experience. It was an easy decision not to come back.
