The "massage" felt like they were deliberately trying to rub lotion in every nook and cranny. They finished with a face and hair (not head) massage and I was mortified and internally screaming because there was so much force and tugging. Definitely not zen and I'm pretty sure they gave me more wrinkles and clogged pores than I walked in with. No hands were washed before touching our faces and oil and lotion was applied over our makeup without warning. I'm pretty sure we got scammed lol. Save your time and money.

I went on their website and saw they have 1 hour foot massage with head and shoulder massage, so I called to make a same day booking. The receptionist was very helpful and made the booking for me. She also informed me that there was free parking across the street. The location is great too, it's just 5 mins walk away from the Gilmore sky train station. As soon as I walked in the receptionist, her little white poodle, my therapist Huma came out to greet me and asked what I need and why I needed to come in. I was seated on a comfy lazy boy chair. The rooms are clean and with dim lighting and spa music. Huma prepared a bowl of warm water to soak my feet to start. The massage was great to the point that I almost fell asleep. Huma was very knowledgeable on which area to press on the foot to release body stress. After massaging my feet, she targeted on my leg cramps area. She was able to relief my leg cramps and wrapped a hot towel after the massage. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick massage.

I went to Amy today for a mole removal service. She has a little room in the back of a hair salon,…read morethe atmosphere is very clean which is great. She had me lie down on a bed and gave me sort of a mini facial to clean my face first. Then she shone a big white light in my face (much like the ones at a dentist office) and dabbed my moles in what I assumed was antiseptic. I closed my eyes at this point since it's my first time and I am a little nervous. The whole process just felt like a little needle pricking you, it was a little painful but nothing significant. I think I was bleeding the entire time as she kept on wiping the spots after each time. The process is very fast, about 5 minutes for the whole pricking sensation. I am giving 3 stars for now because my moles look like little angry red dots at this moment, and I can't tell if the treatment worked. I will come back in 10 days (the number of days I'm supposed to wait for the wound to scab over and peel off by itself) and edit this post to tell you all about how it went! ==================== 8 days later: All my wounds scabbed over and peeled off by itself. One of them is completely gone while the two other ones are faint, but still there. I went back to Amy for a free touch-up on the two dots that are still there. She was great! Booked a same day appointment, same procedures (the facial + removal). I am editing my rating to 5 stars. :) For everyone who's wondering what the price is, it was $85 for 3 moles, not very large, just a dot, but very dark in colour. I think her price is decent. Sure you could get moles removed for $10/mole at beauty salons, but I'd prefer someone who's registered, after all, it's your face, right?

For my first visit to Enhance Arts, I booked a deep tissue massage with Andy. Their website booking…read moresystem was straightforward and I received an email confirmation. The spa is small but the layout is smart, comfortable, and feels luxurious when you walk in. The private massage room was quite small and sparsely decorated, tho what they did have in the room was nice quality and thoughtful. The robes and slippers are of very good quality and the complimentary tea and chocolates after my massage really elevated the experience. Andy is a knowledgeable masseuse with training in Eastern techniques so my relaxation massage also incorporated light stretching. He was respectful and I felt great afterwards. So why not 5 stars? Enhance Arts is great and I will return, tho it lacked a couple important touches that knocked off a star. First, the staff could be more welcoming. Introducing themselves, using my name, and giving instructions would relax me instead of leaving me to wonder what comes next. Second, the "back room" could be hidden better. I was in the second massage room and when I opened the door, I could see all of the staff equipment. Finally, there are "special request" items (like a lavender pillow or a jewelry stand) that you can ask for, but I didn't know that until after my service.

I've also had regular massages here and they're amazing. I recommend making reservations in advance. I'm definitely going back. My friend says she gets foot massages regularly and they help her feet. The staff are really friendly as well . There are 2 locations as far as I know. One is in Yaletown and the other is at Olympic Village

this popped up on my feed a while ago, and i'd been curious to try it ever since…read more face wash yvr is located on the third floor of aberdeen square, not to be confused with the more famous and much larger aberdeen centre, though the two are connected. located next to the aberdeen station. this was my first time trying a head spa combined with a facial, and it leans more toward a relaxation focused, sensory experience rather than a results driven treatment. cari, the esthetician, guided the entire session with a calm, gentle approach. she wore a mask and gloves throughout, which i appreciated, and was careful to avoid getting water around my ears. the treatment began with a scalp analysis to check for oils or dryness, and she regularly checked in on water temperature and pressure, which made the whole experience feel attentive and considered. the setting itself feels more like a cocoon than a typical treatment room. the lighting is low and washed in deep blue tones, giving everything a calming, almost underwater feel. the treatment bed is a large, curved unit with a glossy finish, softly lit from below with a glowing strip of light along its side. beside it, a small cart holds neatly arranged tools and products, adding to the clean, controlled feel of the space. once you're settled in, the outside world kind of fades out. cari gently removed my makeup but left my eye makeup on. they don't double cleanse here, explaining that it can strip away the skin's essential oils. she also mentioned that using very hot water when washing your hair at home can have a similar effect, and suggested keeping it warm rather than hot. the facial and head spa portions were fairly involved with a body massage that happened simultaneously. as my face and scalp were worked, a gentle vibration from the bed's built in massager ran underneath, creating a layered, full body experience. i asked to have the pressure a little gentler. at one stage, a dome shaped fixture was positioned over my head, releasing gentle streams of warm water from above. the water arced downward in thin, steady streams, almost like a soft rain shower, rinsing through my hair while cari continued working along my scalp with slow scratching and massaging motions. it created a calming contrast between the steady warmth of the water and the more focused, methodical pressure through the scalp and neck. my hair was washed and rinsed several times with careful attention along the scalp and hairline. i wasn't told exactly what products were used for either the hair or the face, which might matter if you're ingredient conscious, though there was no push to promote or sell anything afterward. the focus felt very much on the treatment itself. during the facial, a warmed double jade roller was used across the face, followed by a hot face towel draped over my entire face. it felt very relaxing at first, though at one point i noticed a strong lemongrass or eucalyptus scent, with a faint underlying musty note that didn't quite match the otherwise clean feel of the treatment. i was told the towels were infused with essential oils. afterward, a cold mask was applied for contrast. smooth glass balls, about the size of harmony balls, were also used during part of the massage, gliding across the skin in slow, cooling movements and pressure points. at one point my hair was zipped up inside part of the treatment device and i could see steam drifting upward in the blue light, giving it a slightly futuristic, almost sci fi feel. there was no smell of singed hair or anything concerning. it appeared to simply be part of the steaming process. my hair was blow dried at the end, though it didn't come out as silky or soft as i had imagined, so manage expectations on that front. i went during a limited time promo, priced at $75 plus gratuity. there was a slight mix up with the total at the end, but it was rectified without much fuss. overall, a unique first experience combining a facial and head spa, lasting about 75 minutes. lots of massage elements, attentive care from cari, and an immersive, almost otherworldly setup. best suited for those looking to relax and enjoy the sensory experience rather than expecting dramatic before and after skincare or hair results, tucked away on the third floor of aberdeen square.
