I walked in and was surprised at the prices and the freshness of its produce. I highly recommend shopping here. The staff and customers here are super nice as well. The parking can be a bit chaotic. It is a one way traffic with limited parking spots. I recommend either walking here or parking somewhere else and walk to the store. I am coming back for sure.

Not to mention, cold food suddenly sounds more appetizing than hot food when battling the summer heat. With all of this in mind, I decided to head to Sungiven Foods and grab a couple of those onigiris that I'd had my eye on for awhile. I bought a Cooked Salmon Onigiri for my daughter and a Cream Cheese Unagi Onigiri for myself. They had some boxes of interesting ramen noodles on display. Vegetable Ramen noodles and they appeared to be in all sorts of different colours. I was so intrigued by this. I gotta say, they do carry some interesting selection at Sungiven Foods. Couldn't resist so I bought a box and brought it home. The Onigiri was pretty good. I didn't really taste much cream cheese but that was a plus for me as it was really the Unagi filling that I was more interested in, and I could taste plenty of Unagi in my Onigiri. Oh, and I stopped by the Suntea stall to grab a Milk Tea because on the first and last day of each month, Suntea members can buy a large Milk Tea for $3.99 and it happened to be the first day of the month. Got mine with less ice and 50% sweetness. Very impressed. I think they are more known for their fleshy fruit drinks but their milk tea is very impressive as well.

The place is split into a large deli/produce section and a conventional (shelf) section. They also have random perky things such as an ice cream and popcorn section. I had their butter chicken (hot food) and it was pretty decent. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point. Great pit stop if in the area.

They will check on items when asked and not give a typical response like other places that everything is out there. I don't usually get staples here as I prefer to get stuff you don't see in the usual big chain grocery stores. On my last visit, I was looking for Arborio rice and saw that the prices for Thai jasmine rice and Kokuho rose rice were very fair and were even lower than the other stores. Same for the original popular Huy Fong sriracha sauce. The prices for both big and small bottles were not jacked up insanely with the current shortage. I like getting the frozen pies here. They stock Aussie Pie Guy which I love. Occasionally I will get Ernest ice cream here too. The price is the same as the ice cream shop itself. There is also a coffee shop inside (Caffe Artigiano) with seating. There is a good variety of artisan bread here and the grab and go meals are pretty good. If you like to shop local, this is a good place.

Free 2 hour underground parking is available. Limited parking spots. Most park on the side streets which are also free. A bus stop is also nearby.

Some doorways between the sections would be nice. With that out of the way, there are 3 sections. Product, meat/aquarium (yes, aquarium), and dried goods. Pricing is in line with other places. The place is quite popular with locals, which tells you everything you need to know. As with other similar businesses, there is a hot food section as well. I picked up some takeout and it was mediocre. Does the job, but nothing special. I imagine this place serves the local market quite well. It's in a strip mall in the middle of a residential neighbouhood right off a busy highway. The strip mall is deserted. Literally. One cashier is all that was needed on a Sunday afternoon. It's not busy in here. You can get the basics. Prices are OK, but of course Stupidstore will be lower in pricing, but you have to put up with the massive crowds.
