I got my order to go but the gentleman who took my order was kind enough to offer me a cup for some water. The spot was happening. Music, good vibes, the decor was fun. I couldn't decide which meal I was trying so I'm definitely going to make another trip sometime soon. I got the tenders with mac but added a side of greens. Boy oh boy the greens were the star and wow my tastebuds were incredibly satisfied. I've had greens but these were like some ultimate flavors and holy greens i definitely could just order some of these every now and again by themselves. Mac was great. Definitely complimented the greens. The tenders though omg. The flavor was insane. I gotta try them with the waffles next time for sure. Overall the wait wasn't long and my food was still hot. I ended up sharing with my son and he was even raving about it. Great service, fun and lit atmosphere, last but not least food was fire. Side note: people complain about price but I'll be honest, when the food is good and staff are amazing, the price to me doesn't matter. You get what you pay for and let's be real, this isn't chic fil a, this is hot boys and the chicken is definitely that.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

The restaurant is locally owned and serves authentic Mediterranean foods. The owner welcomed and seated us promptly. He brought us a complimentary pot of delicious tea with beautiful little cups. European carvings decorated the walls. The dining room is cozy. For a moment, I was transported to Europe, far from Indiana, sitting in a little cafe sipping tea. I had the falafel sandwich with fries. The falafel is incredibly crispy outside and soft and flavorful inside. The sandwich was served as a wrap with lettuce and tzatziki. The portion of fries was enormous. The fries were hot, perfectly crispy and not overly salty. My husband had the gyro with fries. The gyro is a work of art, overflowing with tzatziki. The pita was fresh and the lamb flavorful. I took half my sandwich and fries home for dinner. The sandwich was just as good several hours later. The restaurant does a good carry out business as well. The dinner plates looked delicious.

The gentleman who helped us out was super friendly and helpful. When I mentioned some of the things I like, he suggested the gyros plate which comes with salad, rice, pita bread, and hummus. The hummus might be the best I've ever had. My SO had a beef shawarma sandwich with yellow rice. Delicious. Everything was delicious. I love the combination of flavors. The gyros meat was tender and amazing. For dessert, we had the best baklava ever. Seriously. The layers were perfect. It was sweetened perfectly. It was the first visit by my SO who was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the delicious taste and great service. I wish I lived closer to this place but am glad the great restaurant is still great after all these years.

For other first-time…read morevisitors, I recommend letting the coffee sit for about 30 seconds before taking a sip so the fine grounds can settle to the bottom. Also, don't stir it after it's served, as that will bring the grounds back up into the coffee. Be sure to leave the last sip or two in the cup, since that's where the grounds collect. The coffee itself was excellent, but I would recommend that servers explain these details to first-time customers or at least ask whether they've had Turkish coffee before. A little guidance would make the experience even better for newcomers. We also ordered the hummus as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The naan was served warm, and the hummus tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect way to start the meal. We also ordered The Bosphorus Special, a mixed grill platter featuring doner, kofte, chicken kebab, beef kebab, Adana kebab, and chicken Adana kebab, served with vegetables and white rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm so glad my significant other and I decided to share this entrée because the portion was very generous, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, it did not negatively impact our overall experience. After our food was served, our waitress did not check back to see how everything was or whether we needed anything additional. We also ended up with quite a few leftovers and requested to-go containers. Initially, only one small container was brought to the table, which required two additional follow-ups before we received enough containers for the remaining food. One suggestion I would offer is that, for tables ordering larger meals, it may be helpful for servers to proactively offer to box up leftovers as dishes are cleared. For just two people, our table became overcrowded rather quickly, especially with the generous portions. Since our waitress did not return after the food was served, it made managing the table and leftovers a little challenging. That said, we had a wonderful first experience overall. The food was outstanding, the portions were generous, and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

India to Indonesia, asians love mango #confirmed Honorable mentions: my friends got the Beef Rendang and Mie Ayam. Both really loved it (some pics here) their dishes! This was my second time trying Indonesian cuisine but my first time venturing out from the more mainstream Satay and certainly won't be my last. The pops of flavor in the Geprek were so awesome and reminded me how fun it is to try new dishes and foods from other cultures. Parking is limited out front but I think there are two additional lots that are close by. I went on a Sunday afternoon and had no issues getting a spot. Service was okay... they were not too busy and we were a table of just 4 people but they forgot my friend's Beef Rendang. Upon asking, they didn't really apologize for forgetting his meal just told us to wait and then they brought it out slightly later. Nobody really came to check on us throughout the meal either. It was not a big deal for me but if you're dining in expecting full service, this may be disappointing for you.
